Other side always reminded me of seeing characters wander and travel, pigstep made me think of characters preparing for the final fight, or at least the build up to that. The person who owned the old realm who my best friends stopped hanging out with us and we hoped he would play with us for the sake of the old times that he would play because in my eyes most of the good memories stemmed from him. randomly, a few nights ago I was playing at 12 am for no reason at all when he got on. It was one of the first times he had played so I was surprised. since we weren't on facetime or anything I send a chat for him to listen to this new disc (the otherside disc). I put it in and we vibed together to the song, and he responds basically saying in all caps that it was an absolute bop and he loved it. I don't know why but in that moment I felt like I had travelled back to our old realm and I had the most amazing sense of nostalgia. I don't expect to ever e able to match the amount of fun we had in that, but I hope my friend comes back and we have an absolute blast with the rest of our friends in the group in this new realm. who knows, maybe he'll decide to start the old one back up.
It might just be that writers tend to stick with what they know, so Lena just happened to make two songs that almost mirror each other in the perfect way to make this?
It's not just the tempo. The harmony and melody also fits very well, it moves in the same pattern in the chords. I'm not saying it fits 100%, but even the ending of the guitar solo in Pigstep fits so well with the little keyboard riff from Otherside. It sounds intentional to me, but I ofcourse don't know
this song sounds like the sweet harmony between to lovers of that were never meant to be together but fit beautifully together, romeo and Juliet. This song perfectly fuses the harsh yet majestic burning under world with the sprawling and ever inviting overworld, lava and water this song is all that minecreaft has in bodied from its early days to now as it nears an over flowing amount of wonder and endless variety, a Copernican that keeps on giving. the tense moments balanced beautifully by the soft ones like the cold dew on grass being gently lifted away to start anew by the slowly rising sun.
Although the similar parts of the different songs are aligned, the parts themselves are unchanged for the most part. This creates such an interesting feeling of the two strands being tied together but not linked, it's so hard to describe. I love this so much.
Pigstep is a great harmony, but lacks any real flavour, like a combination of 11 herbs and spices Otherside is an amazing melody, but is somewhat stale, like an unseasoned bucket of fried chicken Otherstep is a gourmet dish
It is like a clash of sophistication and discord. They pair perfectly, Otherside muting the intensity of Pigstep while Pigstep fills the gaps in Otherside
So... It's a song mashup?! This is amazing! It sounds weird since we've always heard them being apart, but if you listen to it enough then you will see how it fits and it will become an acquired taste. Literally this is... It's amazing, one of the best song mashups I've ever heard. "Otherstep" is a good mashup name for it too.
The beginning is a bit iffy to me, and some parts throughout aren't the best to listen to, but I like it! The interesting blend of otherwise discordant sounds is what really sells it for me. See, Pigstep is an obvious representative of the Nether dimension, and while there are many discs in Minecraft, I think Otherside fits the Overworld pretty well. So the combination of both discs, and especially the way you handled it, creates a chaos that I was at first repelled by, but quickly grew on me. It's like the merging of the two opposing realms, or the portal that closes the rift between them. I'm rambling, though, and I should stop before it goes on for much longer. In summary, it's a fun song, and you did a good job!
It sounds super cool actually, it's just that Otherside and Pigstep don't have the same tempo, so that throws it off a tiny bit, but what's really cool is that Otherside mainly has major tones and takes up the higher end of the audio spectrum, so Pigstep can actually fit well enough to come out more since it's mostly minor tones and has a lot of bass. I bet just a little bit of mixing and equalizing would really make this shine even more than it already does.

The disc actually makes me sad and happy at the same time Edit: So here’s what it represents. Your young and happy and you play Minecraft for the first time. You make friends, chill out. But it soon passes by and you get old and sad and mad. And you forget about Minecraft.
This sounds like the music in one of those animations where they are in the middle of the screen but their walking and the background and time keep changing. Something that would be the very end of a show on the last episode, showing the places the main characters have been to.
1:56 I die for this part OMG. And how it transitions 😫 so good! I'm going to make a texture pack swapping this in of this instead of disc. 5 Update: I finished the texture pack for 1.19 Java. If you're interested check the link in replies.
Anyone else think if Lena Raine makes a theme for an End update, it should work with these two songs as well, in order to complete the minecraft dimensional themes? The only question is how exactly they'll do future music discs, since we've used all disc redstone outputs.
If you're on a phone, hold on the little time bar. The gray stuff that looks like a graph chart over the time bar symbolizes how often people rewatch that part, as in going back 10 seconds (or 5 on pc). Do you see how smoothly it goes up from the beginning to end? Just slowly slowly people keep rewatching
POV: Walking through the grassy field after a long day of hunting, you take a deep breath and close your eyes, smiling. As you open your eyes the sunset gleams in the orange and pink sky. Looking up, you see some birds dash across the faded clouds. You feel something, something approaching. Brushing it off, you continue to saunter to the home that you always loved. You see your dogs tail jump up, and he runs towards you. Greeting him with a pet, you pick him up and cradle him like a baby. When you eventually reach the house, you take a like a look back and you notice something in the distance. It looks like a brown cow, though you can see it clearly because of your bad eyesight from your studying of war books. Setting your pup down, you change your clothes into more comfortable ones, clean up around the house a little, and lock the doors, windows, and the hatch. You close the lights then cannonball onto your bed. You say goodnight to yourself, and close your eyes, as you slowly drift off to sleep, the feeling comes back again, stronger. There is something wrong. Something isn't right. You look around, and a wave of panic hits you like a train. You grab your sword, but then you take a deep breath. You think to yourself, _"No one knows here I live, they won't kill me. Maybe becoming a hitman made you some enemy's, but Robert is dead, so he couldn't have snitched."_ Calming down, you return to your bed when- "PLEASE, PLEASE, SPARE ME, NO!" the mans loud scream echoes in your ear. You turn around, run to your dog, kiss him, lock him in the hatch still clutching your sword. You take your chestplate and dash to the door. You look through the hole in the door, and you see a black man crawling in the floor with his leg cut off. As a retired hitman, you needed to retrieve parts of their body to prove it, but you didnt see anything like this. You think, _"Should I save him or should I let him die?"_ The panic arrives again. Just then you hear a bloodcurdling shriek. Then, silence. You knew what happened. The man was dead, and it was your fault for not saving him. You open the door, swinging your sword like a madman, then just like the man, your arm, is gone. You fall to the floor, not even saying a word. You look up, and the main man takes your arm, then turns around. He waves his hand, then you see a sword dashing down. You are dead. #BLM (you can make up what happened to the dog and what was in the hatch.)
You mixed it very well I think! But it still sounds way too busy. Both of them are such lively tracks and it's hard to combine them cohesively without taking away important parts of them.
Something I noticed about the way this works, Otherside kind of mutes the intensity of Pigstep, so it just adds in to the chill vibes. Good song.

At this point, I don‘t know what I like more:
the music or the design of the disc.
I CAN‘T DECIDE
Wow... Never thought someone will mashup 2 of my most loved disc songs
I know this came out before Double Life, but this has big "The ship burns, everything burns!" energy. I could see this be the "end credits" music for the season...
Sounds a bit chaotic and overwhelming but the audios are totally in sync
I've been listening to this over and over and over and over and... you get the idea
The disc looks cool, the music sounds good too!
E N D E R E Y E
lmao tbh that is what the disc looks like
Dude ikr!! Now imagine Otherside + Pigstep + a main menu music!
Lol
me and my friends tried this once. we did not like the way it sounded. this was a perfectly timed mix. kudos to you.
This is a masterpiece even my sister wanted to play Minecraft after this thanks a lot dude it's so good as well!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: There should be a craft recipe for this and u need: 1 gold block in the middle, moss blocks the inside rim, and black concrete outside rim.
Also on the corners of the crafting table there should be more moss blocks.

This is a Good Remix And It's so Nice to listen .
IF It was in Game It Maybe Keep in the End city
or in the new deepslate dungeon/city thing they showed in minecraft live
HoI
i love that little bit of saxophone action here 0:55
Comments going in-depth on the fusion of the two songs and then there’s just me vibing
I like the concept of having two very different style choruses but both repeating in the same song
Somehow this is even more of a banger than they were before. It’s amazing
absolutely love it, nothing else to add here.
I like how Pigstep adds percussion and a bass melody into the otherside, but yeah, otherside kind of shadows pigstep.
Beautiful, cant believe how they combine in a cohesive blend.
I love it! 🥰 The intensity nearing the end is just so-- 🥰😍🥰
It's super good! Tho i have seen other mash ups of these this easily takes the cake!
POV: you finally escape the nether after a year and your in the over world haunted by the experience
The disc actually makes me sad and happy at the same time Edit: So here’s what it represents. Your young and happy and you play Minecraft for the first time. You make friends, chill out. But it soon passes by and you get old and sad and mad. And you forget about Minecraft.
This track is alternatively known as "Pig side" or "bacon"
LOL
Or susside
lmao XD
Lena is one of the best video game composers in history every song she makes is truest a bop
C418
This sounds like the music in one of those animations where they are in the middle of the screen but their walking and the background and time keep changing. Something that would be the very end of a show on the last episode, showing the places the main characters have been to.
It gives me chills
1:56 I die for this part OMG. And how it transitions 😫 so good! I'm going to make a texture pack swapping this in of this instead of disc. 5
Update: I finished the texture pack for 1.19 Java. If you're interested check the link in replies.
Where's it at? I want this!
LEMME SEE IT @Galacticat1
@@samdownloadtuck6084 some how the link got deleted but here it is
@@PandemoniumZ-367 links in my reply

Anyone else think if Lena Raine makes a theme for an End update, it should work with these two songs as well, in order to complete the minecraft dimensional themes? The only question is how exactly they'll do future music discs, since we've used all disc redstone outputs.
This now lives rent free in my brain, thank you for this.
Now combine cat and otherside.
Wow
I know this
Most music videos do that
This makes me think of Technoblade. A bittersweet ending, he leaves us, but in doing so, has earned the ultimate throne.
R.I.P Techno
This is both a monstrosity of music and a brilliant track at the same time.
I cant really explain but this song sounds like you finally reaches the end and stopped running and sat down the first time
RIP Technoblade
POV:
Walking through the grassy field after a long day of hunting, you take a deep breath and close your eyes, smiling. #BLM
(you can make up what happened to the dog and what was in the hatch.)
Otherside is taking over
Otherside gives the disc such airy vibes. I love it man! Feels like a busy market with pigmen and humans both roaming the streets
Awh this is so good!
You mixed it very well I think! But it still sounds way too busy. Both of them are such lively tracks and it's hard to combine them cohesively without taking away important parts of them.
this part is where you actually hear pigstep 0:43
You can hear it the whole time
@@Overlyamplified But it's the part where you hear it the most
The sound is BEAUTIFUL ❤️❤️❤️
1:03 is fucking amazing
Your mom: what did you say?😡
@@AnD_channels Hudson literally just claimed that 1:03 is fucking amazing, and holy shit, it is a fucking masterpiece!
I just noticed it looks like an ender eye
it looks like an eye of ender
this went way better than i could imagine
