My Song in the Night, arr. Paul J. Christiansen
O Jesus my Savior, my song in the night,
Come to us with Thy tender love, my souls’ delight.
Unto Thee, O Lord in affliction I call,
my comfort by day and my song in the night.
O why should I wander, an alien from Thee,
or cry in the desert Thy face to see,
my comfort and joy, my souls’ delight,
O Jesus my Savior, my song in the night. - Видеоклипы
One of my very favorite choir anthems! I first sang it as a teenager, the words are from Psalm 42:8; it is a prayer unto itself, and speaks to my heart.
One of Paul J. Christiansen's most sublime arrangements. Well done. Beautiful.
If you were a member of the choir when this was recorded, this video will be a treasure to your soul for decades to come. I hope you’ll be able to remain in a choir somewhere and continue to experience the unparalleled beauty resulting from the collaboration of voices upon artistic arrangements such as this one.
The world of choral music will miss you, Dr. Clausen.
What the stars sing in a cold bright winter night.
Deeply moving.
Phenomenal performance - exquisitely done. Clausen and Concordia at their best!
Thanks for sharing this and other beautiful choir music
I remember singing this in HS. ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful
Absolutely gorgeous. I love the exclusion of the solo. To me, ot made the piece that much more powerful.
I personally miss the solo very much. Paul j's arrangement had perfect balance.
Beautiful. Love it.
Nice
What happened to the soprano solo?
Why change the arrangement? It was a masterpiece.
