“Raise” is a pretty strong word there tenabee.
"I did not raise my son to serve" -- that line always cracks me up. You call what you did, "raising a child" lol. I'd hate to see what it'd be like if you neglected them, Valkorion.
The only thing Valkorion never gave his children was love, and attention. Nevertheless, he raised them strong as shit.

You know what's worst? It's not that he used the word 'raise', but that he literally 'raised' him to serve!!!
If we are to look at this in detail, there is a difference between "to serve" and actually caring about him. He made sure that he would immediately end up being independent with him playing him against Thexxan.
I mean, looking at what became of Arcan and Thexan before he died, Valkorion did a better job than 50% of the people in this world. Sure he wasn't the best Father, but far, far from the worst.

So far Arcann's story is my top-favourite in the game. It just tops everyone else's. There is so much depth to it, so many elements of his life are based on a gilded illusion of truth, power and predestination and all of it was dogmatically presented to both him and Thexan. Arcann's behaviour is not one-sided, he is going through a wide range of emotions, development and realizations as his story progresses. Even when we see what he is really capable of, while under the Dark side's influence, he maintains a certain dignity and grace that suggests it is all a tactical sacrifice for him. When his real personality surfaces, you meet a young man who was toyed with in his entire life, regardless of what he thought of himself, his position, his life and the paths he was forced into choosing. It is an eye-opener about a lot of aspects of life, not just in SWTOR but in real life as well. Arcann has a great potential in himself, and I was more than glad to give him a chance to finally choose his own path, to finally make a decision for HIMSELF.
Way too late to reply, but I think the best way to sum up how shit Arcann's life is this:
Arcann was raised from birth to lose to you.

the writting for the stories can be ALOT better.. swtor is pretty bottom of the barrel for alot of the class stories
and the fact a non force user can even stand up against any powerfull force user is just silly and power fantasy

It is pretty much a single player game and have the option to play with other people in raids or PVP. SWTOR is a fun game.

I personally loved arcann he was a really awesome villain in my opinion and his redemption arc was really great.
So fantastic! Arcann is such a complex and headless character but always had good in him and you portrayed that perfectly in this... CAN NOT WAIT FOR VAYLIN!!!!!!!!
I ended up liking Arcann after you choose to let him live. He ends up being redeemed in true Star Wars fashion. The moment where he's briefly tempted again by the Eternal Throne at the end when you're about to take the Eternal Throne, but he resists.

nemesis , and I still remember how shocked I was when he put a hole in me.

I don't know why but for some reason i killed Senya and then i had to kill Arcann and then i found out that Arcann could be my ally if i hadn't killed Senya. I got sad ;(

Yeah, though I wish that you could have given him the option/ told him to reclaim the Throne instead of you.
It feels wrong as a non- Zakuulian to sit on the Throne, and Arcan together with his Mother might have made a good ruling body.
@@S-Asker Maybe but I think that goes against Arcann's redemption arc where he rejects the throne as it symbolises the entire way he lived his life under Valkorian's influence from murdering Thexan to his deeds as Emperor.
@@benwelsh5265 True, but I honestly don't care all that much if it's a complete or incomplete redemption arc. I care for a good story, and a non-zakuulian on the Throne when Senya and Arcan are there just feels wrong and or forced
@@S-Asker The throne in general feels wrong hence why I prefer the peacekeeper option as opposed to just continuing a monarchy. The Eternal Throne is literally Valkorian's favourite little toy of mass murder, I'd sooner see it destroyed than have anyone sit in it.
Part 1 was amazing, this part is amazing, and I enjoyed watching it. Arcann was one of my favorite villains, and they did well with the redemption arc. Can't wait to see what you come up with for Vaylin.

Malgus was a powerful dumbass stupid enough to think that the Force is split between two sides, and then he's dumb enough to think he can serve the one all about self empowerment. He literally shits on the core beliefs of the Sith

After wathing the "Last Jedi", i think i can see some similarities between Arcann and Kylo Renn. Both wanted to carve their own way, both have a troubled history with masters, both become leaders through killing previous leader. Will be interesting to see how the story of Kylo Ren ends, will it be the redemption, the way light sided Arcann got, or will it be his ultimate demise.
Troller The last jedi was terrible arcann is the same thing but more complex and a way better character.

Any plans to do a Mandalorian video? I hesitate to ask because i hate the coward that is Shae Vizla, but i absolutely love mandalorians.
Also what is your opinion on how they kinda just threw out Mandalore the Vindicated with the simple explanation that he died in some unknown battle in the war without any detail?
Personally im not a fan that they got rid of him and made Vizla mandalore. If it were up to my my bounty hunter would have shot Vizla in the face back on Rishi when she tried 2 kill us then basically begged us not to kill her when she was defeated.

In general mandalorians fate always reminds me what Traya says in kotor 2 at the end , so down the line in history mandalorians are doomed to go weaker and fall slowly . So I just roll with it , even in rebels and clone wars they are just a glimpse of what they are used too be .

Idk, the Ethernal Empire's still feels wierd to me... this is too much of a galactic player to leave literally no trace of itself. And I'm not speaking of movies ofc - I'm talking the pre-Disney Extended Universe. yeah it's like 4k years BBY, but... Revan was remembered... Also their tech's too OP, even by my looow, *(accepting that tech was literally on the Prequel level back in 4k BBY)* standarts of disbelief suspension. It'd be cool if they used Rakata tech instead. Still OP af, but understandably so.
The Eternal Empire's technological advancement wasn't really that far ahead in almost every regard compared to the Empire and Republic. The Isotope-5 ships of the Sith Empire were pretty close as it was. What made the Eternal Empire so advanced was their advancements in software, which is far easier to vanish without a trace. The Gemini Network controlled all of Zakuul's society and military. Once that was lost, it's definitely plausible that Zakuul simply just fades into obscurity.
I think the real gap in the lore is Arcann himself. As far as I'm aware, Arcann's subjugation of the Republic was the only break in its dominance in the galaxy in its 25,000 year history. He was unequivocally the most powerful duellist that had ever lived. His lack of legacy is astounding.
@@tTaseric First of all - yes 200% about Arcann, secondly - perhaps I wasn't clear enough, their tech advancement could be on par with that of the Galactic Empire, buuut they were 3800+ years before. That's sorta the problem with the whole TOR lore, and I do believe this should be adressed, cuz it clearly could have a reasonable explanation. The most obvious one would be of course that this format of space travel, combat, communication and colonization is the peak of current tech level unless some incredible breakthrough happens, buuut on the other hand at any given moment we see that progress is happening pretty fast, and there are breakthroughs. This bothers me, even tho it doesn't ruin the experience completely.

I always wondered why we only see the Zakuulan sponsored by AUDI Ships and never the "real" eternal fleet ships. The Zakuul ships are so much better than those flying crosses... I can only suspect that 1:24 was the original concept art for them.. even the troopers at 2:43 look a thousant times better than those shitty plastic dolls called "Sky Troopers".. whoever made those changes belongs in a garbage bin.
Both in and out of universe, the 'flying cross' Eternal Fleet ships are about practicality. All they need to be is a bridge attached to some engines with a big space at the front for guns. The image they present with thousands lined up is imposing enough, they don't need to make the individual ships look good. Same goes for the Skytroopers really.
The Zakuulan ships we see in the cinematics are just the command ships, disconnected from the Gemini network and piloted by humans. We usually see it in-game as Arcann's flagship, actually built on Zakuul instead of Iokath. I imagine the same explanation as to why the cross ships weren't there is the same both in and out of universe: They didn't want to reveal the Eternal Fleet too early and spoil the surprise.
