    The fact that Dame *decided* to take a 37 foot shot *at the buzzer* to *win the series* is just so crazy to me. The definition of cold blooded.

    People who didn’t watch that series look at the clock and see a minute left on the clock but they don’t realize how clutch that shot from Irving was. The last 7 minute of that game was an eternity for both teams.
    And to have James make the block and then to have Kyrie make that shot later on was crazy.
    I was literally out of my mind scared that Curry was going to break out and knock down some threes cause it’s happened countless times before and since then - but it never happened and Cleveland finally got that one championship.

    • @asterisk911
      @asterisk911 Год назад +9

      He totally baited Curry into doing the wrong thing, too. The Warriors had plenty of time to go for a 2 and play defense. But instead, Curry's body language showed he had every intention of making a 3 to tie it. So he pretty much dribbled out half of the remaining time before taking a bad shot. The Warriors possession lasted 20 seconds and of that, Curry spent 17 seconds dribbling (14 before passing to Green, 3 after getting it back from Green). He could've easily gone past Love to get to the basket, see who came over to help, and made the correct pass. Or the Warriors could've run their offense. But no, he was determined to be the hero. Big mistake. Love defended against the 3 perfectly, and Curry didn't take what the defense was giving him but stubbornly forced a bad shot. He played low percentage basketball instead of doing the right thing. And I think that's largely because he thought he had to answer Kyrie Irving's shot.

    Those last three all stressed me out when I watched it live. The Ray Allen shot though was so epic. Like I remember the commentators saying that they literally were ready to set up the championship podium and had the ropes on the side line. And then to see that go in. Like damn. The block from Lebron sucked the life out of me (I'm a Warriors fan). I had been going to games as a kid, and Dub Nation was like damn... and then everything that happened after that. But I will say the most heartbreaking one was Kawhi's shot because all of those photos were insane and hearing the bounce on the rim was like watching the climax of a movie.
