Thanks, Jeff. Love the energy and the writing. Great stuff.
HERE!! Shared with the band haha! 👌🏼
They’re dropping their second album on 24th Feb 🤩
Really glad you've been checking them out If you were to do another one from them please do the song neo thangka off their first ep it's an amazing song imo
Interstellar gas clouds in Carina Nebula as cover image... astounding as their music, since their virtuosity is not sacrificed in favor of musicality, but unleashed in the audacity of finding new melodies and atmospheres. Thanks Jeff, for this discovery!
Thank you Lino!
These guys are just super talented!
Epic band!! love this group.
I love this ❤ wow! Definitely some Dream Theater vibes. So dreamy and the name ad astra means “to the stars” which is exactly where you go when hearing this. ❤ 💫
A little Leprous feel in certain sections! Love it!
Indeed
Interesting piece - never heard them before but it's giving me Dream Theater vibes.
Nightwish on their Human Nature album have a song with the same title - it's the final track on the 2nd ( instrumental) disk. I believe Ad Astra means to the stars.
Gonna look into these guys, thanks Jeff.
Yep, "Ad Astra" is the Latin for "to the stars".
Ok, so… Joshua De La Victoria is a guitar player (from Australia, I believe…), he plays the second solo which goes on for some time, he also has a very particular tone. When you hear the first solo, it’s Yas - he, too, has a *very* distinct tone 🤩
The song was 8 minutes? Didn't feel like it. Felt way shorter. Needs to be longer, lol.
Daz mentioned Ad Astra is a Nightwish instrumental track. Also, Laudato Si Ad Astra (Praised be..to the stars) is a lyric in Shoemaker by Nightwish on disc 1 of the Human Nature album.
Also, again, mixed by ADAM BENTLEY 🤩 😂
oh very cool!
YES! THE CREDITS 😂
IMHO this sure had a 'Hollander' feel to it. Certainly not in the same vein, but something the band might do. Me likey !! Very interesting movement swings.
You flatterer! I wish!!
I'll take that compliment! :) :) :)
OH! Another thing: I believe they’re using an Animals As Leaders/Tosin Abasi “thumping” technique around the mid part, before the second solo and that choral voice is going OFF! ✨
Thats from joshua de la victoria.
Zang Lhao is an absolute beast!
IT ENDS LIKE THE WAY IT STARTED 🤩 😮
Yess, like the beginning And end of a journey/space travel …. very beautiful💫🌟✨🤩🤗
This was definitely a beauuutiful and powerful masterpiece …. wauuw!! Oh my …… and like a space journey to me💫🌟✨🌍🌗🪐☀️🙏🏼💜🤗.
Thank you, Matthew👌🏼, and thank you, Jeff, for a wonderful rich reaction to all this goodness!💫🌟✨🤩🥰🤗
LISE! 🤩 👋🏼
@@wilksy2008👋🏼👋🏼Heyyy Matt😃 - loved it!!!!! Beautiful beautiful masterpiece🙏🏼💫🌟✨🪐💜🥰🤗
@@lisedonsgrnning6518 It’s an incredible piece, it goes on and on, but… it’s over before one knows it 😂 Talk about trickery and deception lmfaoooo!! 😂
Oh, Jeff, I forgot to mention that it sounds Very interesting with your new project there!😃 I hope that you will share with us when you find the time right🫶🏼💚🌱🤗.
@@wilksy2008Yesss, it is Not too long imo., but just a beautiful journey and emotional ride as well to me🌈🪐🤗.
So unpredictable and like travelling through different spheres/worlds ….. I liked the jazzy fragment there. And the vocals beautifully done and placed. Some places adds a to me similar haunting feeling like in some of Jacob Groths pieces for some of our Danish crime tv-shows. And the piano pieces etc. in there - beautiful.
Well, there are sooo many various fragments all put together in wonderful flows - speeding up/slowing down - what an incredible amount of both musical talent And imagination it takes to create something like this piece🤯🌈🤩🥰. Thank you so much for suggesting it, Matt👍🏼💝💚🤗.
