Junk didn't last 6 months before the heat killed it and no customer service will answer or call back. Do not buy Rexing. They do not care about customers
I have the V5 arriving today. Bought it because it holds power with capacitors instead of LiPo batteries and the manufacturer says the electronics are protected up to a little greater than 170 degrees F. That was the selling point for me here in southern Arizona where it gets pretty freakin hot in the summer months.

Dude, Your video is more instructive than the manual that comes with it. Got this for Christmas (truck driver) was frustrated trying to navigate. Pro at it now. Have you have a problem with keeping or getting the cam to power up when not plugged in? It acts as if theres no internal battery, even though theres a charging icon on the screen. Check out the Amazon review for this cam. A reviewer suggests using two round rare earth magnets to mount it to the windshield. One affixed to the windshield with the 3m tape, one affixed to the camera shoe. Easy on off. He has a video. Great idea.
Are there two types of Rexing v5 versions? This one seems newer even tho it probably came out first. Main differences are the Rexing logo under the screen and the interior cam having a little sensor on the bottom. But also the menu screen is different it’s blue. The one I bought is called the Rexing v5 plus
I want the dash cam who's rear cam dual or single , what I like should Rotate wherever I want to rotate should be attached to the holder ball kind . The easiest way . All Dash Cam should be like that . Easy to Record if Criminal/s comes to the either front door .....
Does the P on the right side of the camera indicate that the hardwire parking mode is on? I tried to hardwire it earlier today and I don’t know if I did it correctly for my 2014 Chevy Camaro after playing around with the fuses… but there is a P on the right side of the screen with a white box around it, I wasn’t sure if I had it correctly or not… thank you!
The cabin camera is garbage (as you can see with your purple image at 12:52 ). I have the same issue and Rexing says it's normal. It's the only cabin camera I have seen with this issue. The IR should switch off when not necessary (such as during the day) to provide the real colors. Even at night the coloring of the video is off. It doesn't switch to black and white. Black material shows as purple.

I bought one today but the box says v5 plus and that it has 3-channel recoding. Is it a newer model with the ability to record with all 3 cameras at the same time?
I bought the v5 plus from best buy a few days ago, and just installed it yesterday. I already had the hardwired kit installed from my V3 plus. My settings menu and on screen display look different, I think mines has a different firmware since it's a 3ch. However, loop recording is non existent in the settings. GPS and speedometer does not work, even though it shows strong signals on the GPS status screen. Parking monitor is lackluster, as there are still no options to change recording time. With the hardwired installed, the camera constantly stays on. If I swap the fuse positions, it will turn on and off with the ignition, but no parking monitor activation even if I purposely bump the unit with my hand or shake the car. Very frustrating to buy something with advertised functions, but are not even present at all.
@@89nikehead Will do. I've been in email contact with customer service back and forth. They're sending me a hardwired kit, and I've already told them that I have 2, but still insisted on sending it. I have my doubts, but we shall see. If this doesn't work, it's going back to the store. I'll keep you updated.

It does have a bit of a learning curve, in the name of saving a few dollars. At the end, you'll find that you will only use a few of the features anyways. At least I did...
I got the V5 last week. The screens and menus are quite different than what I see here in these videos. The manual is pretty much useless and incomplete. There are no videos or instructions on this version of the firmware. Checking on the latest firmware, my camera tells me it's up to date. I wonder if I got a pirated Chinese knock off. I bought mine at Best Buy. Does anyone else have an issue like this?
*I do not recommend buying this* Mine doesn't save the vids also it keeps getting stuck on loading screen after 3-5 days. I had to remove the SD card all the time and format it manually on my Laptop and had to factory reset the device all the time when it happens. Super hassle

I didn't know that the front facing camera lense is adjustable, great to see that in your video, and I'm particularly interested in whether the interior cam lense is adjustable so if I get stopped by police I can cover the driver's window area. My biggest complaint is that it's billed as a 3-channel dash camera. Imagine my surprise when I got it and found out it can only record two channels at a time. I also don't like that the mobile app is basically worthless since you can't save videos to be used outside the app. You really can't do anything with them in the app.
I can't get the cabin cam to work. Bought from Best Buy twice. 1st one didn't work. Returned and purchased a 2nd a couple of weeks later. Same issue. Tried both cig lighter plug and hardwire. Didn't make a difference. Pressing the up arrow as you showed doesn't do anything. Any ideas?

How to set up the date-time? 1. Button M 2 times then up and down into date-time 2. Press ok then use OK to move the position + up and down to change date time 3. Then ... how to save it ? Click OK, the up and down button will change time, not save it. Click M button will exit without saving? Clcik Power button nothing happens?
Nice video and you did a great job explaining but this must be one of the most confusing operations of any dadhcam I have ever seen. Who in the world can remember all the different variations of short and long pressing every button this is definitely a no go for me.
Anybody use a different model rear camera with this one? Mine took a dump and I'm hoping to be able to plug the existing rear cam into the modular jack (same interface).
License plates from a distance is an incredibly tall order for a dashcam. I can probably mount my $2500 camera to a mount and use it as a dashcam and I wouldn't expect perfection. I've done tests with dash cams and regular cameras and can tell you that under a lot of circumstances the license plate will not be clear, unless you got a 4k dash cam with a large sensor that recorded clearly at 120fps and that is impossible at this price range.
@@akqjtn I have lenses by themselves that cost that much. I used to shoot for cbs sports and I have done a few dozen weddings. I understand cameras as well as anyone. But that doesn't mean I'm not interested in how dashcams perform.

@@akqjtn I mean like I’m driving along my 4 hour trip through the woods. I see a deer jump out and I almost hit it. I don’t make contact so I keep on driving the remainder of my trip. When I get to my destination, how do I find that exact point? Do I have to scroll the entire 4 hour video or if something happens in real time is there a button I can press where it “bookmarks” that event and then later on I can find it easy on thru the wifi
Absolutely great video! You cover a lot of details that weren't in the manual. Very helpful. My V5 was installed about 3 days ago and when operating, it periodically announces "completed" but I have no idea what or why that is. Any ideas? Thanks for posting this video.

The one I ordered from their website is a piece of junk. The software isn’t the same and it’s frustrating to operate. If you order from their site you are not getting the same product that’s in this video. Wish my luck getting a refund.

Is it normal that my cabin cam's video is purplish? Even if it's daylight, cabin cam's recording is purplish.
Do not buy Rexing. A nightmare trying to have any service from them.

The loop is too short at 3 minutes. Not good for RUclips Vids.

The loop word sounds confusing, it just means the length of each video clip; one minute, two minute, etc videos.
