I am a bit worried if they would be planning to make her "useless" at M0 as I like a variety of agents and go for M0 and sometimes the Wengine. Hopefully that is not the case as the end game content is pretty easy for now.

From what I learned of Dokkan battle, Japanese spent more than global, which is wild on their biggest banners but it goes to show that market wise your home country may be better to market towards for big days.
I mean, we wont know how male chars perform sales-wise until we actually see them perform. I'm kinda the odd one out since I pull primarily based on synergy and viability, I have no problem with pulling for Haru or Lighter, if they actually work well. I got Lyacon for Ellen, so I don't see myself pulling Lighter without a Fire Attacker in sight for him to enable.
I think Harumasa was planned to drop on the 4th of november, because on the instagram event for Harumasa's drip marketing you can notice that they wrote "event duration: from the 11/04 to the 11/07" even though we are not even the 4th yet. So my theory is that they forgot to change dates on Harumasa's event, and they did the dripmarketing before the date planned. So there would still be high chances of getting Miyabi's dripmarketing on the 4th, or the 5th.
Let’s be real the true shock is that harumasa is an attacker. I legit was expecting an offensive support. Once again safety is the bangboo of ultimate culture!!!
I don't think Hoyo would do only Harumasa for 1.4. I think they really want to rake in the money during the holidays, so I'm willing to bet it's late drip marketing, so that when 1.3 comes out people will at least pull Yanagi if they're skipping Lighter for the waifu players. That way, whatever Miyabi ends up being, it'll make more players spend to catch up polychrome wise or invest more money in characters that play well with her.
It would be disappointing if Miyabi doesn't show up in 1.4 but I would be interested in a rerun of Ellen Joe. Right now I would really like something from Hoyo that gets me excited to grind up a nest egg of poly and the 1.3/1.4 Belobog power creep isn't doing it for me

They are clearly in the process of reworking Miyabi's kit to be Fire Defense since they have decided that all of Belobog needs to be given the middle finger. We get Yanagi (Grace), followed by Lighter (Koleda), and then Harumasa (Anton). Obviously, they are pivoting Miyabi to creep Ben in order to finish the job. But seriously, the way they are handling the drip marketing for the game is already pretty disappointing given that the same company does Honkai Star Rail who handles their drip marketing exceptionally well. Either way, people know that Miyabi is coming and should just wait for her even if it means waiting until 1.5 or beyond.
All I know Miyabi has 2 versions. Whatever the developer choose as her first banner will decide the next version be the awakened version. That's all to it. Which will determine future meta.

It also makes more sense since who would pull for Ellen if they already pulled for Miyabi before the Ellen rerun begins. Agreed. When I first started (like 2 weeks after launch) I thought she sounded like a cool character. She still seems cool, but I don't think they could create a character worth all this hype (to me), not in a gacha game

Idk how valid this information is, but there have been leaks which contained the upcoming banners which indeed includes, Harumasa and Miyabi. The reason why I believe this is because of the story and how it has been going. It makes sense for Belle and Wise to first meet the smaller sections/groups until they reach team 6. Especially in the last bit of the story after Sons of Calydons. So I am not too worried about it tbh.
Saving for Jane Doe, I got Burnice in 10 days with more than 160 pulls, yeah I lost 50:50 to Rina... But then after I got Burnice, I got Burnice's W-Engine in 40+ pulls after that in 3-4 days!!
I definitely on the mindset of an Ellen rerun in 1.4 and Miyabi coming in 1.5. Limited S ranks have been synergizing with each other so when Harumasa was drip marketed "first" it didn't make sense cause Lighter didn't synergize with him seeing as he has a weird ice buff that doesn't fit with his faction with no Miyabi I feel like the most logical explanation is that Ellen with be in the Banner after Lighter, making 1.4 a double attack dps patch just like when she first released

Of the "later" arguments, I think the rerun of Ellen is the most convincing. It solves the problem of having two Ice main DPS agents releasing on the same banner. But I don't think the probability is very high that Miyabi will be pushed out of 1.4, regardless of the reasoning. All of the other reasons to delay are addressed more effectively by the Virtual Idols. Those agents have the potential to reignite CN spending, and even if they don't, they should be extremely popular in JP for the December Tokyo Game Show, and in NA at any time, for that matter.
You know, I'm actually happy about this potential news. Because if it is that long until her banner, I am pretty sure I an afford to go to the 50/50 for Yanagi and still save up enough for another 50/50 by the time Miyabi arrives. Because I am absolutely skipping Lighter and Harumasa. I do like Lighter, but I need a damage dealer (electric) more than I need another stunner. (And yeah, if my choices are Yanagi or Harumasa the choice is easy. And as much because he's attack and she is anomaly as it is their personalities. Not that I know much about him yet, besides attack/electric.) And if she's not coming until 1.5 I'm totally fine with that too - I'm still trying to finish leveling up skills and such for most of my agents, so more time to do that without throwing a new shiny agent into the mix for a while will be useful.
GOD I HOPE SHE'S NOT IN 1.4 earlier today I got Burnice because, I do want the option of feeling "ready" for Yanagi, if I want her. I'm in a decent place with polychromes but if Yanagi doesn't come home without struggle... I sure hope Miyabi is a ways away lol
Miyabi will absolutely release in 1.4. This will be a major patch and basically a soft reboot for ZZZ. There’s no doubt about it. Also I love that Billy's ass-slap still makes an appearance in your videos lol
As a proud member of the Cult of Miyabi, I am more than willing to be patient. The Lighter and Harumasa banners are a period of saving. At the very least I can guarantee her just like I have guarantee on Yanagi. At this rate, I might be able to get Yanagi and Miyabi's wengine.
If I had to guess based on Hoyo's other big character drops (Acheron, Firefly, Arllechino), Miyabi will definitely be strong at base BUT have early Mindscapes/W-Engine that push her above and beyond other dps. That way they tempt the people who saved for her to go a little further to bring out her full potential.
In 1.4 for Genshin, reruns did start, but it was just reruns and a new 4-star. So I wouldn't be surprised if ZZZ took an approach of 1 new S-Rank and one rerun in 1.4, even if it would kind of suck.
I don't really agree with the idea that male players don't roll for male characters. I think the majority of players will roll for either gender if they like the character. Gooners might have a bigger presence among whales though.
Unless we meet more agent-like characters in future story chapters (like the Vanquishers) then we might be seeing a shift to a New/Rerun kind of banner setup so the list of new agents doesn't run out too fast. Ideally, it'd be nice if reruns occasionally had new A-Ranks to fill out other type/element slots (Ether and Ice are suffering for choice) but S-Ranks that fill those slots make the most sense financially. Regarding Miyabi specifically...her being delayed would actually be a good thing given I intend on going broke for Lighter's banner. If she doesn't show up until late 1.4 or even early 1.5, I have more time to build up at least 90 tapes for the banner. But...some info would be nice to better inform my spending decisions 'cause if she's coming on the heels of Harumasa...I probably won't pick up a copy of him. He's a good replacement for Anton but I'm on the fence about his playstyle purely based on his weapon.
In Honkai Star Rail, they're only having one brand new character this current patch with Rappa, while the rest are re-runs. This is the first time HSR has only had one new character, so it wouldnt surprise me if ZZZ does the same at some point. I do think Miyabi is coming in 1.4 though.
I m super looking forward to reruns so I can mindscape Ellen and eventually Jane Doe since they haver excellent mindscapes, so a double rerun would be great

I definitely believe we're getting a Ellen rerun for the reasons mention. But also the ones you didn't, which tie to the fact ZZZ's a 3D action game. The units animations take way more work to create then in HSR, maybe even Genshin. Then there's also the simple fact that interests in Ellen will evaporate with Miyabi's release. So putting her ahead not only affords them more time to work on new characters. But it also squeezes the last bit of juice they can get outta Ellen, before Miyabi takes over... 🤔👍
NGL I have been saving and waiting for miyabi since day 1. Even saving lots of combat content for being able to do it with her, but if she is still not coming out, I'm just gonna quit the game. No chance I am waiting even one more patch after 1.4
Based on past hoyo games I think the 2nd phase of 1.4 will be a rerun (probably ellen) instead of MIyabi , hence there is no drip mareketing for her, they have no reason to delay her drip marketing plus people is excited for her so if she's availbale for 1.4 thay should have released her from now, or maybe I'm wrong

Similar situation but with Yanagi, I already have my Anton team and would have to replace it which I'm not happy about, so I'll be forced to skip despite liking the gameplay, but at least I keep my guaranteed 5 star. I have M2 Koleda, Lighter is out of the question.
I just started out on this game, have about 15 hours and my characters are level 30, just unlocked the level 40 levelcap. Game is fun, but I don't like the characters I have. They're just uninteresting to me at the moment, Got Billy, Soldier 11, Anby, Corrin, Those are the main ones I Use. But it's just boring now, I'm looking forward to future characters like Harumasa and Miyabi, but also future concept characters like Soldier 11's sniper friend. I want her a lot. I care about the roles and how they play too, I want a stunner like Koleda to diss the anby I've been using for 15 hours. Don't care for burnice rolling cause I'm not a flamethrowing guy. Getting bored with the characters, just waiting for futures.
Until I got jane, I was bored of the game. Get who you want cuz its the only way to not burn out and just quit the game. Going for yanagi cuz that sword+lightning and the glasses tilt/walk away is peak combat to me.

Of the "later" arguments, I think the rerun of Ellen is the most convincing. It solves the problem of having two Ice main DPS agents releasing on the same banner. But I don't think the probability is very high that Miyabi will be pushed out of 1.4, regardless of the reasoning. All of the other reasons to delay are addressed more effectively by the Virtual Idols. Those agents have the potential to reignite CN spending, and even if they don't, they should be extremely popular in JP for the December Tokyo Game Show, and in NA at any time, for that matter.
You know, I'm actually happy about this potential news.
Because if it is that long until her banner, I am pretty sure I an afford to go to the 50/50 for Yanagi and still save up enough for another 50/50 by the time Miyabi arrives.
Because I am absolutely skipping Lighter and Harumasa. I do like Lighter, but I need a damage dealer (electric) more than I need another stunner. (And yeah, if my choices are Yanagi or Harumasa the choice is easy. And as much because he's attack and she is anomaly as it is their personalities. Not that I know much about him yet, besides attack/electric.)
And if she's not coming until 1.5 I'm totally fine with that too - I'm still trying to finish leveling up skills and such for most of my agents, so more time to do that without throwing a new shiny agent into the mix for a while will be useful.

earlier today I got Burnice because, I do want the option of feeling "ready" for Yanagi, if I want her. I'm in a decent place with polychromes but if Yanagi doesn't come home without struggle... I sure hope Miyabi is a ways away lol

Miyabi will absolutely release in 1.4. This will be a major patch and basically a soft reboot for ZZZ. There’s no doubt about it.

The Lighter and Harumasa banners are a period of saving.
At the very least I can guarantee her just like I have guarantee on Yanagi.
At this rate, I might be able to get Yanagi and Miyabi's wengine.
If I had to guess based on Hoyo's other big character drops (Acheron, Firefly, Arllechino), Miyabi will definitely be strong at base BUT have early Mindscapes/W-Engine that push her above and beyond other dps. That way they tempt the people who saved for her to go a little further to bring out her full potential.

In 1.4 for Genshin, reruns did start, but it was just reruns and a new 4-star. So I wouldn't be surprised if ZZZ took an approach of 1 new S-Rank and one rerun in 1.4, even if it would kind of suck.

I don't really agree with the idea that male players don't roll for male characters. I think the majority of players will roll for either gender if they like the character. Gooners might have a bigger presence among whales though.
I can't decide if I wanna go for harumasa who I like aesthetically, or miyabi who I think will be op as hell

Unless we meet more agent-like characters in future story chapters (like the Vanquishers) then we might be seeing a shift to a New/Rerun kind of banner setup so the list of new agents doesn't run out too fast.
Ideally, it'd be nice if reruns occasionally had new A-Ranks to fill out other type/element slots (Ether and Ice are suffering for choice) but S-Ranks that fill those slots make the most sense financially.
Regarding Miyabi specifically...her being delayed would actually be a good thing given I intend on going broke for Lighter's banner. If she doesn't show up until late 1.4 or even early 1.5, I have more time to build up at least 90 tapes for the banner. But...some info would be nice to better inform my spending decisions 'cause if she's coming on the heels of Harumasa...I probably won't pick up a copy of him. He's a good replacement for Anton but I'm on the fence about his playstyle purely based on his weapon.

One way to make Miyabi work is by making her W Engine extremely must pull to make her as Ice Anomaly work

In Honkai Star Rail, they're only having one brand new character this current patch with Rappa, while the rest are re-runs. This is the first time HSR has only had one new character, so it wouldnt surprise me if ZZZ does the same at some point. I do think Miyabi is coming in 1.4 though.

I definitely believe we're getting a Ellen rerun for the reasons mention. But also the ones you didn't, which tie to the fact ZZZ's a 3D action game. The units animations take way more work to create then in HSR, maybe even Genshin. Then there's also the simple fact that interests in Ellen will evaporate with Miyabi's release. So putting her ahead not only affords them more time to work on new characters. But it also squeezes the last bit of juice they can get outta Ellen, before Miyabi takes over... 🤔👍
NGL I have been saving and waiting for miyabi since day 1. Even saving lots of combat content for being able to do it with her, but if she is still not coming out, I'm just gonna quit the game. No chance I am waiting even one more patch after 1.4
They might just surprise us with a random character from a new faction and save Miyabi for 2.0.

Based on past hoyo games I think the 2nd phase of 1.4 will be a rerun (probably ellen) instead of MIyabi , hence there is no drip mareketing for her, they have no reason to delay her drip marketing plus people is excited for her so if she's availbale for 1.4 thay should have released her from now, or maybe I'm wrong

I was waiting for Lighter and Ellen to make my dream team but recentlly got Koleda while already having Lycaon and made an electric composition with Anton, so now I've made the call to pull for yanagi for the second team and skip Lighter. It pains me in the bottom of my heart not to pull for him due to how little value I would get from him, I love him, but at least yanagi looks mad rad. What are y'all's thoughts?
Similar situation but with Yanagi, I already have my Anton team and would have to replace it which I'm not happy about, so I'll be forced to skip despite liking the gameplay, but at least I keep my guaranteed 5 star. I have M2 Koleda, Lighter is out of the question.

I just started out on this game, have about 15 hours and my characters are level 30, just unlocked the level 40 levelcap. Game is fun, but I don't like the characters I have. They're just uninteresting to me at the moment, Got Billy, Soldier 11, Anby, Corrin, Those are the main ones I Use. But it's just boring now, I'm looking forward to future characters like Harumasa and Miyabi, but also future concept characters like Soldier 11's sniper friend. I want her a lot. I care about the roles and how they play too, I want a stunner like Koleda to diss the anby I've been using for 15 hours. Don't care for burnice rolling cause I'm not a flamethrowing guy.
Getting bored with the characters, just waiting for futures.
Until I got jane, I was bored of the game. Get who you want cuz its the only way to not burn out and just quit the game. Going for yanagi cuz that sword+lightning and the glasses tilt/walk away is peak combat to me.
