A wonderful romp through some favorite voice performances...these are all ones that have seemed special for sure. Looking at the credits made me think how important some of these composers are to how I cherish music. They could be the voices of our generation, as Carol King and Leonard Cohen (and a multitude more) were. Or exemplars of a style and generation as the Everly Brothers were. But the 1944 song by Burl Ives put my watching his TV show when I was a child into a new perspective...On reflection, here was Burl, an absolute master of his voice and craft...now nearly forgotten but for those of us who were impacted by his presence. As is usually the case pureemotion has caused reflection and appreciation of this emotional universe embodied in song, and for that, many thanks!
What an enjoyable way to travel back to when I was...younger. I've not thought of Burl Ives in years, but RUclips makes it possible to go back in time.
dhamma58 Thank you and glad for bringing back good memories and confirming that the publication of original singers should be considered ... thank you so so much for your very sweet words 🥰
This was like a whole factory production line of ear candy, my friend!! Each piece as delicious as the next! 💁🏻♀️ We needed a sequel, and you most certainly provided it!! 😍😍
So much goodness here! Every song, every singer --- all speak to us of times past and yet of today. Just wow! I wouldn't change a thing and am completely satisfied with this Part 2. Congratulations on another *Timeless* collection. Delectable!
O admirável é a atuação perfeita dele.
This video reminds me of Mika, a coach on the Voice France, listening to a singer perform "Loving You", and turning around, saying "Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy!" 🙂 It'd take some guts to sing "Hotel California" since it's such a well-known song -- one that everybody of a certain age knows all the lyrics to. Anyway, it's all good. I've seen most of these clips before thanks to Pure, and am more than happy to listen to them again.
Hmm, where was I onl Saturday? I'm getting far too old as when this showed up (actually had to go get it) I was thinking today is Saturday, and why are you so late posting this week. I know things like this don't happen to anyone else. (by the way that is a true statement even though I'm sure you don't believe it--at 77 a good day is remembering to get out of my pajamas before noon). But the music, I don't forget those "timeless classics". I forget some of the twists and turns there, but I loved them all.
16:21 Liya Meladze - "Hallelujah" (Leonard Cohen - 1984)(The Voice of Ukraine), and I love watching when a coach gives some slight coaching during the song like Sviatoslav Vakarchuk did (hope I got his name right). I know Tina Karol did a lot of that also. Now, luckily I have tissues close by to dry my eyes.
He butchered the eagles song. And hallelujah was a load of crap, the only word she understood was the title of the song and knew the melody, but singing half the song repeating hallelujah is not talent IMO. Love hurts chick sounds so much like Aretha Franklin.
Wow Yana what a great pure voice, perfect song choice Wafaring Stranger

I had those same thoughts about Burl. Watching him on TV as a child always felt like he was singing just for us.

She reminded me of Peggy Lee.
"Love hurts" was not thaaaat good.

Did the fact he’s Polish escape you? They all did a great job. At least they are working on a dream, you’re only good enough to watch theirs.
The young man who did Sinatra was great!
ESSA GERAÇÃO FOI FODA.
That’s right.. so good
