I think it looks great with the hurricane rims on it, and it would make a pretty cool "stock car" tribute. Glad you saved it from the derby......so many cars lost to that silliness.
Glad you saved this , 73 colonnade generation GM 🙏 Any small block will do Perhaps a Buick 350 Pontiac 350 Or , Oldsmobile 350 Please leave the vinyl roof off A Benny Parsons Tribute car would be PERFECT ‼️ 🥰 💕 Maybe ..... name it , after the songs 🎵 you tagged it , in your thumb nail ..... black ⚫ Betty 😈🤝
Can't fool me twice! I had no hope for the GS340 and look how cool that turned out! I love the rims on this '73. I would have passed this over too. Not you, you really rescue this old iron.
Most people find the 73 Chevelle one of the most undesirable body styles of Chevelle me on the other hand I love it my dad had a 73 Chevelle it was Shammy yellow the Cragar mags it had on it looked pretty badass with that shammy yellow paint I've been looking for one of those for a long time so I could build it like my dad's
How could you not buy that? All the potential. You already know what to do. If you have an assortment of engines and transmissions, no matter what you do it will be a win.
Awesome video brother. My dad used to have one of those. Always wanted to find one. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT
The concern with these rides are where the rear upper and lower control arms bolt into the frame. Rust takes over where the frame openings are located.
@@IrishOutlawGarage When I found mine, the frame was in ruff shape and I was one of those guys who turned my Chevelle into an oval track ice racer here in Wisconsin. Having alot of early 70's Impala, Caprice, and Monte parts made my build lots of fun at a low budget cost. Enjoy the build. A big block 454 and Turbo 350 is cheap fun in this ride.
Nice find. I see decent "roller" deals around here all the time, but people here are still trying to get covid era prices. That car in my neck of the woods would run about 3-5 grand. Anyway, love the idea of a tribute car and if you are going that route, then "Russell" should be it's name. Benny's car was sponsored by Russell Bennett Chevrolet, so it seems fitting. If you go that route that is.
I vote for D'ye Mak'er (Welsh & Old English for, did you make her) and paint, "You bet your Arse I did" on the trunk lid. Then go hawg wild on it. It's not a desirable year, so it doesn't matter so much what you do to it. Cut the hood, and the stick the nose in the air to join the TR Nation, or do something like Bryan's "Knuckle Duster" and go 70's Stink Freak with it. Pull that front Nader Hater bumper off it and let 'er eat... it's all good times indeed man. And not a bad song either....
Fun year round reliable everyday daily that gets mpg.. down n dirty gm Aztec gold paint job.. gm 6 spd auto n 3.73 position, make sure everything works.. tinted windows.. not crazy but just step up brakes n suspension a bit.. 2 1/2" dual exhaust out the back with glass packs.. for the engine get a early 70s dodge 360 truck engine freshen it up with .060 overbore, edelbrock performer rpm cam ,intake/850 carb, aluminum heads ,fuel pump, set of small block Chevy hooker super competion headers for chevelle and cut flanges off n weld on a set of flanges to fit the dodge.. call it Molet... did u hear that? Entire Chevy nation just loaded a new clip in all at same time 😅
You never underestimate us! It will be great to see what you get done with it.

I named my 73 Chevelle Lucille my Dad loved Little Richard!
Lucille was actually my mom's name. Coincidentally I named the engine I built that's in our 76 Malibu is named Lucille.

Right? Lol, already got the engine idea lined up lol
Looking forward to watching you get her going again. @@IrishOutlawGarage

I love the mad max NASCAR tribute idea
That's what came to mind right away
I am looking forward to seeing what you do with this one! I still need to find myself a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix lol
Rosalie! Released by Bob Seger 1973, but of course better known as the Thin Lizzy version from 1975....so could be a Rosalie 😊 Matching year....
Nice!!
Can't believe you're still married 😮
MAX would be a good name, because that's what you're going to do to your credit card !
🤣
I like the nascar idea.
I'm thinking 1973 Nascar Chevelle clone. Give it the vintage Nascar vibe but make it streetable.
A tribute car would be awesome 😊

Probably a big block 👍
6 month update please
Motor and trans acquired. Should begin the build hopefully after Power Tour. 👍
@@IrishOutlawGarage Thank you, will be watching
That thing needs an engine with a blower sticking out of the hood! 🤣
That's what Zeppy said lol. Bit out of budget lol

Why would I make it worse with a Mopar engine? Could Flintstone it and get more power. 😌😏
