    Dear Sir...I hve gone through ur ANSYS vdos..These r realy helpful..Thank you.
    I request u to make a vdo on fatigue simution for multiaxial loading using ANSYS WB.This wil b hlpful for many CAE engineers.

    And one question, when you are saying that for damping ratio you usually consider 0.01 or 0.02, is there any reference handbook for that or it is based on your experiment? I'm looking for marsh mellow spring damping ratio. any thoughts?

      You might find in manufacturing catalogue of spring. There are few uncertainty while performing analysis such as load application, FEA Model generation so based on judgment & experience we prefer to have between 1 to 2%.

    I tried using this mount model in the Harmonic Analysis module (after modal for mode superposition) .When I applied an acceleration on a fixed support Boundary condition with Base excitation ON , I got an error which indicated something was unconstrained. When I remove the the spring elements and then use only 1 body the error disappears .Please help

      First check modal analysis for any vibrating parts. Identify the flying body and then define connection or constraint on it.

    While performing transient shock without modal analysis….we should give fix support right?

    Hello , when we model this springs for three directions , behaviour which we are getting is unrealistic…..I mean not getting realistic behaviour which will include effect of rolling and shear ….

      Check the spring stiffenss values. The stiffenss values should be proper.

    Dear sir,is ansys or abaqus is better for shock isolation

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  3 года назад

      As vibration analysis is performed without non-linearity and hence both ANSYS and Abaqus are better. ANSYS workbench is easy for modeling and faster simulations.

    Can you recommend a book for the Vibration Analysis of the Mount?

      Hello, Their is no specific book for vibration mount. You will find different industry catalogs & based on size, loads & configuration, you will find different mounts.

      @@graspengineering9249 I think the top plate rotation needs to be constrained..then the model is able to solve else it is giving very high deformation values..
