I’ve had this video in mind for while now (basically since season 5) but figured, after the announcement that season 7 would be the last, that I’d wait until the series finale to post it so that it’d be a nice tribute. I thought we’d at least get some platonic soulmate goodness, but like with most things this year, it didn’t turn out that way lol so…
Although there are some clips I included from season 7, I’m choosing to ignore most of what happened regarding Bellamy’s arc and Clarke’s actions. 7x13 and onward? Don’t know her. Their relationship is too solid to be deconstructed by a certain showrunner’s ego, pettiness and pointless pursuit of ~gritty edginess. He can go float himself.
I’ve always loved this song, and felt it matched (sometimes literally) with Bellarke’s epic relationship, especially after their reunion in season 5 and actual true-love’s-kiss revival in season 6. The first verse is Clarke’s perspective, and the second is from Bellamy’s.
(Also, Bellamy Blake, sweetie, you deserved so much better).

Am I the only one who's baffled how they made Bellamy a traitor, made Clarke kill him, and then told us he was actually right all along but he's dead.
You're not the only one. It was so disrespectfully ridiculous, and something I chose not to acknowledge in this video.

oh my god this is so epic. i litteraly cried my eyes out, it's definitely one of the most besutiful edits i've seen, the song is amazing and is made for them. it was so powerful and touching to see both of their perspectives, that comes as a whole in the end, you did a perfect job to show what bellarke is and always will be no matter what. they are each other's home, comfort, safe place, there's just no clarke without bellamy and there is no bellamy without clarke. they are everything to each other and they are everything together. thank you for this masterpiece!

this was phenomenal! i've been weak for this song sing og roswell and seeing it matched with bellarke i knew it was going to be great before it even started! also- THANK YOU for not using scenes from 7x13 on because i will never forgive that terrrible writing and ooc behavior, not having any of that in this video reminded me of why i have been obsessed with this ship and show for the past six years, so thank you for that
Thank you! And yeah, while I did see some parallels to some of their scenes later on in the season, they mostly just felt so disjointed thematically from Bellamy and Clarke as characters that it didn't match with the rest of the video (and by extension, the rest of the show)

Loved this video so much! I was always a supporter of either platonic Bellamy/Clarke or lovers Bellamy/Clarke, but damn, this last season....what the hell happened? To me this show has always been pretty consistent and this season just spiraled out of control. To be honest, I spent the majority of it terribly confused, haha! Like, legit confused that I couldn't follow the plot. Either way, you created a truly lovely video and I adore this song.

I wasn't even that big a bellamy fan or a bellarke shipper but I was convinced they'd end up together and most of all I was so angry about how they mistreated his character. He deserved a lot better, and so did clarke tbh, that whole scene makes no sense and it sucks. But this video is so so great, I love this song (did you watch roswell or is it unrelated? ahah), perfect tribute.
Yeah, it's baffling to me. For the final season, I at least expected for their relationship to keep its integrity, but apparently that was expecting too much. And thanks! Also, yes I watched Roswell back in the day and that was how I was introduced to this song, which still holds up.
Im learning film editing right now at college. What program do you use? I'm learning on adobe premiere. Do you still make videos? is editing something u were interesting in doing as a career or a hobby?
Hi - I mentioned in the description I used Sony Vegas Pro 15; it's not the industry standard necessarily but I know it's what most people use/have used for vidding. And yes, I still make videos; it's just a matter of feeling inspired. Editing could be interesting career pursuit but right now it's simply a hobby.
