Crochet granny dress tutorial (all sizes)

This dress is made of full granny squares and half granny squares joined together and has a raffle skirt on the base and scalloped edge around the neckline as well as the armholes as well as the bottom edging

I love this pattern! I made this in pink/peach/purple, wore it to a fancy wedding and got compliments on it all night. I plan to make another of this design with lace weight cotton for the future.

I love this dress and I am going to make it, however I would like to know if you think it would work up just as lovely if I use cotton thread instead of the acrylic yarn.

Cotton will look much better than acrylic

I made it using the cotton thread. I also adjusted it to put in sleeves and made it ankle length. I used a solid colour (gold) for the top and Mexicana for the skirt. It is a beauty. I wore it to my school's graduation. Thank you for sharing. Please let me know how to share a picture of it with you😊
