As a gamecock fan were already competing at a higher level than we previously have been the past few years. A loss is a loss, but Arkansas did give up nearly 400 yards through the air. Something to think about.
As a Razorback fan, you are correct on all points. Our top secondary guys were out (Myles Slusher should be back next week, Jalen Catalon is sadly done for the season with surgery) so time will tell if our pass defense improves. But the Gamecocks never stopped fighting and gave a great game. This is why the SCAR/ARK series is the most underrated in the SEC.

Arkansas is missing its two best secondary players and was at the mercy of about a dozen bogus penalties that gave South Carolina dozens of chances to move the ball.
@@shchorss yeah and South Carolina had 3 starters on the defense come out during the game to never return. Let’s not forget the play where Jefferson fumbled the ball on that stretch for the TD in what should of been a turnover on downs but got 7 points instead. Excuses sound best from the people making them. Enjoy your win and focus on the next team.

This game was closer than the score indicated. SC could move the ball well on AR but turnovers and key mistakes handling the ball. Rattler looked out of sync but did some good things with the ball to open receivers. Neither offense looked elite. I expect both teams will be improved this weekend but SC game with UGA might mask some of this. The only question is how many points can SC score on UGA, even in a loss. Well, this game did nothing to make me think they couldn't score at least 20 on UGA. Maybe more with mistake free ball.

The final score is not indicative of how badly Arkansas destroyed South Carolina. Should've been more like 58-24

@@khazzeronTV based on what? Arkansas's offense was as efficient as it could be and it's good, however there are some things that have to be concerning if you are an Arkansas fan. You get a fumble, interception, the team playing against you misses an extra point, the give you great field position on a bad punt, you get a safety, your Qb is almost perfect a 7 of 11, you run the ball like you want and dominate the line of scrimmage. Oh, and by the way you have 35 min time of possession. Yet, the opposing offense has over 400 yards and scores 30 points. That's with an okay offense that's still trying to gel. When Alabama, Ole Miss, and Miss St come to town they aren't going to have those issues.

Arkansas defense is a little weak in the secondary but overall a great team win.
I think two of Arkansas players in the secondary are injured
2 of our starters are out. 2 of our best cover guys.
Ya our secondary is suspect it's my only worry about our team everywhere else we are pritty solid and will clean up more down the road. But our defense front is going to have to over perform evey week bringing heat on the qb to try help offset our secondary problems. We should get 1 our guys back this week should help I hope. Fewer mistakes and some better decision making and sc makes it a closer game,definite improvement from last year.
Naw it really should have been a final score of 50-30 Arkansas on the cool tho. They made up that bogus technicality to not embarrass SC even further by getting blown out by that much. We can all admit that I’m sure

But it was 44-30, you gave up 380 yards through the air to a “trash team” (so your fans say) at home. 2 td win, celebrate it. Thats the score. You have to have depth at this level, which clearly you dont have. We had 5 starters on d out from half way through the 3rd through the rest of the game. It only gets tougher from here.

So let’s say 30-42. Spencer missed on 3 td passes that we only got 3 points out of. That’s 18 points. That were completely out of Arkansas control. The wr had already beat the secondary. 48-42. And I’m not even gonna worry about spencer throwing another int in the red zone and the fact that kj fumbled into the end zone but y’all still got 7 points. Arkansas is the better team no doubt and I’m not trying to prove anything other than this game could of ended up very different so it’s kinda ignorant to say it should of been any worse than 30-44
@@josephii5750 and if we really want to keep on the “what ifs”, rattler interception in the endzone. Should have been 7, or at least 3. Fumbled on our own 25, ark punches it in for a td. Onside kick recovered to the 10 yard linr, ark punches it in. If Arky is a top 3 team in the SEC so they say, im excited for the rest of the season. Because we had the chance to beat them multiple times that game, on the road nonetheless.
I have no ideal how this season will play out. Arkansas fans are excited though, for what Sam Pittman has done since he joined the fan base that sings Woo Pig Sooie!
We don’t have the talent yet on defense but when beamers recruits get in there we will be able to stop the run
ALl I hear is secondary this and that....our secondary was not that good last year, incase people forgot...we got torched all season. Bama went for what 500 yards passing? Nearly won that game. Miss State went for 400+, we won that game. Our offense is looking better than it was last year, so as long as the defense is bend and not break, we got a shot to win every game this year we are in. We don't face any Gerogia defenses this year. If we got to win some shootouts, so be it.

Saban said in a presser not to long ago Sanders would have started at LB had he stayed and he hated to lose him but that's what to expect with the portal now.
@@khazzeronTV From what I've heard, never met the guy but from what I've heard from both coaches and players Sam Pittman is a very likeable guy. Saban could learn a thing or two from his playback of life. Just my opinion 🤷

I think with a better line, Rattler would be really good. He showed flashes of being really dangerous. I just think he needs a little more time to throw the ball.

From a Netflix show called QB1 , and Oklahoma, but he got benched last season, so not sure why they thought he'd be good in a tougher conference. He was really good in HS, so his hype coming into college was sorta justified, but coming to the SEC was not.

Full game highlights yet the only offensive plays we saw from South Carolina were turnovers. I didnt expect them to win the game but it would be nice not to ignore what they did do.

Too much hype from the AZ prep Pinnacle High School days (11K yds passing , 4 year starter). Lincoln Rielly has no hair left from Rattler's days as a Soone Ar QB guru that couldn't make him productive under the spotlight. When the game gets close he does NOT perform well.
@@geraldjoseph8007 and yet he is 16-3 as a starter. Rattler has as much talent as any Qb in the country, with a bad O-line. It does matter what Qb you put in SC offense right now, they would ALL struggle. I'm not saying he's perfect, but the young man has some of the greatest abilities in the country. He forces things he doesn't have to, but from a pure talent perspective he's up there. It's easy for Brice Young, KJ, even Stenson Bennett. They all play behind GREAT offensive lines.

He was benched vs Texas for a reason, got a second chance later that year, and choked it away again. It doesn't matter how many yards you pass for when you cause more turnovers than touchdowns.
