Jorn Lande's voice sounds like a older, deeper, more mature version of Tobias Sammet's. Just listen to their Avantasia duets. Jorn could be Tobias's illegitimate father.
After Being on Avantasia and Ayreon this return to Masterplan must have been something amazing to him... and was a king return... This album Time to Be king seems for me that exploits better his vocie than previous ones
I kinda know where you're coming from, I just always liked DiMeo in Riot and the work he did for Ilium is fantastic. DiMeo isn't less unique for me, he's just more of a blues singer doing power metal, which comes off weird to many, but I love it. As long as I get to hear Lande and DiMeo actively singing in bands and doing projects, I'm pretty happy with it, :D
