+Justin Odisho Great tutorial sir! If you could please post another video in how to crop a vertical video ON THE FLY (ae or premiere, doesnt matter actually). Really want to fix my vertical videos to landscape this way. Similar to how the old "Crop on the fly" app by Fly labs used to work.
bro, this is a dream. i was literally just looking for this effect 2 hpurs ago after i saw the music video and knew you didn't have one. BRO, you're amazing. and RAHUL better be in the livestream tonight
Good trick! Just a quick tipIn order to avoid having to refine the position of the head, you can just set the anchor point of the rotobrushed layer on the bottom of the head and then parenting the layer to the anchor point
How can I re-select the minor frame problems that the brushing tool was not able to recognize, because I was testing turning my head to see if it had any problems, but when I came back to try to chance the frames that it had already rendered it didn`t change a thing. Great tut btw.
Hey awesome tutorial. I just think that tracking the sunglasses or any part of the head was kind of wrong, and maybe what you really need to track is the neck or chest. Since when he looks up down left or right, the null object will stray away to far from the neck sometimes, if that makes any sense.
I feel like I know a decent amount of Photoshop but then I see you make a tutorial like this on fairly obscure tools in After Effects and it makes me realize how little I probably know about Photoshop. How do you know about all these small tools and do you have any tips for people looking to learn more about the less-used tools in Adobe's softwares?
Just look up whatever you come across a question about and check through tutorials. Adobe help x has a pretty good reference website explaining each tool as well.
hey i really learn a lot from your channel and i am wondering if you can go into more depth on this bobble head effect? i have the basics down bit would like to know how to motion track the parts that get out of frame? thanks in advance!
your tutorials really helpful to me!!!! btw can you make it more advanced like instantly pop up to the big head and make it move like the bobble head figure
Justin Odisho, in the music video they must have been tweaking with the necks too no? In case one bends her head backwards, would it look natural/realistic?
Hey justin, quick question, you're video was awesome. But how are they able to perform the effect while making the talent actually perform? I figured it was more of a green screen effect or just a lot of time spent doing this method?
I think they filmed their heads in a green screen studio, then filmed the Street Scene. They probably wore masks with tracking points or got tracking points painted on their heads
Thanks for the tutorial. Could you explain how you keep the lines stable? Mine squiggle constantly. I had to increase the feather to a 60 to keep it stable. The result was having a kind of glow around the head.
You taught me premier pro and now I'm trying to learn After Effects but this shit just looks so difficult. I feel like once I master this I can start freelancing full time but I feel like it's going to take a lot of getting used to.

Hey bro great tutorial! You're seriously helping a lot of us out here who are doing film work. I just having a few problems with making sure the Roto Brush and Refine Edge are fully aligned with the face structure. It keeps cutting half off of the face. Do you know why? Can you help me please?
Some one tell me why when I rotoscoped projects the mask always is messed up after. I only move forward through the timeline during the roto process. And then by the time I’m finished(hours later😐). The edges all have changed and each carefully crafted frame which was perfect as I left it, is now jacked up. Someone please answer
attempted this tonight and almost threw my lap top in the pool. This is way too complicated for any movements other than the still shot you have here. Once you actually freeze everything and you go back to original composition, its not visible.. so then what... so of course you try to attempt to duplicate the layer you masked.. doesn't work......they must have used a more efficient way of doing this.
I can't do more than 5 seconds, when I render an error happens in the mask where it distorts everything, I tried to do it in separate parts and compositions, but it seems that it only worked in the first 5 seconds, then all compositions gave an error ... what can it be?
we need a tutorial on the G eazy music video where its big heads on moving objects like here its a guy who is standing still so the tracking system would be accurate and he isn't even moving his head much which makes it so basic, we need a professional tutorial on how to do it on moving objects the same way how the music video was.
Looking for a music video where this effect was used, along with some frames where the band members froze mid-air while dancing. If anyone knows what video this is, please let me know! I can’t remember for the life of me.

Your channel is so fantastic. I like how you get to the point and easy to follow tutorials.
Thanks!
Justin you are the best..... I had this in mind to ask you yesterday and you've done it already
Good trick! Just a quick tipIn order to avoid having to refine the position of the head, you can just set the anchor point of the rotobrushed layer on the bottom of the head and then parenting the layer to the anchor point
I love how you always manage to find great ideas to make a tutorial on, thank you - I appreciate your effort.
My big head looks funny. Is there a better way to mask out the face so it's a perfect cut?
The anchor point of the head layer wasn't centered properly so that was the reason for the drift. Good video!
Plutons Productions In relation to which layer should I center it to? Currently struggling with this exact issue
Justin you make the best Premiere pro tutorial videos and I watch you to learn how to edit my gaming videos better.
i watch your videos just to hear your voice your voice is soo crispy ❤️❤️
love from India 🇮🇳
You should track shoulders, not the eye, with eye tracked you got multiplied motion
I was going to say that
LakiLOOP same same! Looks off because of extra motion

I love your channel!
Thanks!
Justin Odisho OMG I got a relpy!!! AAAHHHH!
Can you make a video where the main personage going forward while others moving backwards, please?!
You could have a person walk backwards through a crowd and then reverse it
Can you make a video on how to edit like Cole Bennett

Will the top big head layer stay in place when the guy turns his head or will it show the side of his head as well?
It depends on the clip, you could adjust it on a case by case

How do you do two heads. in the video there are two people. I guess you would double the procedure on more layers .. track on each
+Heath Ladner same thing just double the layers

@justinodisho great tutorial buddy 👍
where did you get the video? can you give us the project file?
good tutorial btw
What happens when the guy looks up? On your titelscreen the camera shoots a bit lower and you can see how the neck becomes the head.
As long as you cut the to the beard line you could attach it to the original neck i'd say
Is there a way to do somthing like this in Premiere?
BTW your channel is great, it improved my editing so much!
+Roni Potashnikov you could a more simple version in a bit more tedious keyframed way if you used a still cut out every 5 seconds or so
