Zambia, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is famed Victoria Falls - indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "Smoke That Thunders” - plunging a misty 108m into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint.

To those who keep fighting over which side is better or bigger please stop that! God created it as one beautiful piece of water fall and He still sees it that way. Remember , from whatever angle or country you view it from the falls are Wonders of Gods creation. Let the victoia Falls unite us ,one Africa, one love!
My advice to Marwa and Ro and others : please see the entire falls by viewing from both sides (Zambia & Zimbabwe). Enjoy other activities too.

Marwa I thank you so much, I am 70 years old and never heard of Victoria falls, now I am experiencing Africa through your eyes. I am a Jamaican living in Nc USA and I thought Jamaican water falls was the best now I know different.
You don't know geography at 70 years old unbelievable.
The second largest waterfall is in Angola, the Karandula waterfall after Victoria falls.

It's not smoke Marwa, it's mist . Wonderful, amazing waterfall indeed.
That’s what it means in the original name; Mosi-Oa-Tunya transliterated “the smoke that thunders” in English!

The falls are in Zimbabwe and the falls flows within Zimbabwe, but as you can see there is a portion of the falls that’s in Zambia
The river starts in Zambia, and flows in Zambia for 60% of it length. The most dramatic part of the falls are in Zambia. It is not up to you to decide what belongs where. The people who own the land on both sides of the falls are Tonga, like me. If we were forced to decide, the falls would be in Zambia, because 95% of the Tonga, including the president of Zambia, live in Zambia. I do not know where you come from but this does not concern you
