    If you wanted to put some clear contact paper on your sewing machine bed, then it will help prevent your magnetic frame from scratching your machine. I have the Dream Machine and use the large magnetic frame to quilt with and use the contact paper. It’s keeps my machine looking brand new ;). So happy you got the new machine! Love your videos and sweet demeanor. So glad to find nice people.

    Glad I "found" you today! I appreciate your help and I thoroughly enjoyed your tutorial because I need to monogram 75 white cotton napkins for someone for whom we pet sit. The wedding rehearsal dinner is large. Your napkin is adorable. There is nothing at all wrong with your videography either! :) I had no idea about the embroidery stitch count in my machine (Brother SE1900).

    • @StitchinWithSue
      @StitchinWithSue  4 года назад

      The sticky hoop by DIME is amazing. It’s really inexpensive too....that’s why I splurged and got the 6x10. Just use sticky stabilizer onto the back and stick on your item to embroider and go. I have a separate video I did when I first purchased it you’ll want to watch. Thanks for viewing and your kind words.

    Thank you for sharing your process. I am brand new to embroidery, and videos like yours are very helpful. I have the Brother VM5200, so a very similar machine to yours. Please excuse this question if it is completely dumb, but the image area is really small. Wouldn't using a smaller hoop save on stabilizer also? My machine only came with a 5x7 and 8x12 hoop, but I saw on Amazon there is a 4x4 hoop compatible with our machines for only $17. I am considering getting it for those times when I only want to embroider a small area. I hope you don't take this comment as negative, I only ask the question because I want to learn your process.

    • @StitchinWithSue
      @StitchinWithSue  4 года назад +1

      The hoop I’m using is a sticky hoop. I only have one size of these. I’ll have to do a video on how I keep reusing the stabilizer. I just apply a small piece onto the back over the previous stitching. I get about 10 used before I change the entire stabilizer. Thanks for your observation. Never a dumb question. :). Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for your video! What size did you make your napkins? I’ve never made any before. What type of stabilizer did you use? Tear away?

    • @StitchinWithSue

      These were made about a year ago. My daughter purchased the napkins from Amazon. Think they were 18 inches. I used a sticky stabilizer

    Purchase my V5 embroidery sewing machine years , in the Netherlands. Life happened happened and I never got to use it. Being because there were no classes in English in the Netherlands. I have moved back to America and desperately would like to know how to use this machine. Do you know of any online classes. I'm so lost right now with it all. Thank you so much.
