Now that I think about it, the Shadow clones were kinda weak and incomplete compared to the other types. When the clones of Metal Sonic and Zavok show up, they are a whole boss fight and basically use every ability the original has, but the Shadow clones are never seen using chaos powers and are taken out after one hit. I don't know where that quote of yours came from (if it's even a quote) but it could explain why the Shadow clones were weak.
The game offered so much that it didn't fully achieve. I was heavily anticipating a Shadow boss fight and even a Chaos boss fight, and.... yeah, we didn't get that. Good remix though.

You know hearing this reminds me. Fans say that the metarex saga from sonic X could’ve been the sonic adventure 3 we could’ve had and since Sega had a habit of remixing songs between adventures, 1 and 2 for example, with it doesn’t matter and unknown from M.E. It would be interesting that if something like this would be remixed for shadow if sonic adventure 3 would’ve happened. But as for the plot of this, I can agree with it for sonic forces.
well i mean it's not exactly a fair comparison, shadow has had 3 separate themes not even counting the various ending themes from shadow '05, meanwhile infinite has only had one appearance to have a theme in. that said i'd say infinite's theme is slightly better than i am all of me but slightly below shadow's other 2, it's really close though
