For a prefecture trying to promote what remains of its natural beauty they also are hell bent on destroying what's left of it. There's a contradiction there. Kagoshima is at the mercy of the mining, concrete and construction industry, and in political circle of Kagoshima it is well known that the construction lobby comes first, then the political will. Hopefully this will change before they obliterate the last beach village in Amami with no seawall and with a natural river mouth, and many other places targeted with ill conceived public works projects. 大島紬など旧琉球の一面も持ち合わせてる鹿児島の特徴がよく表現できていて最高の出来だと思う。素晴らしい！
父が鹿児島出身で幼少の頃からよく行っていた。去年も一時帰国の折、親類に会いに行ったが、桜島にも会いに行った感覚。両親を見送ったら東京に戻る理由も無いので、アメリカ人の夫と鹿児島市に住もうかと話している。
