@8:12 the Guyker roller bridge is essentially a Nashville sized bridge. The other bridges you’re comparing it to seem to be the ABR style bridge, which is considerably more narrow. That said, I did measure the width of the GM015-Ti (for Gibson guitars) against a TonePros roller bridge. The Guyker was slightly wider at 13.8mm, while the TonePros was 13.5mm. Nice video, btw. 🙂
Brilliant and as usual highly detailed review. Nice. 2 things, if I may to advise. 1.) Gunsmithing screwdrivers. They are high carbon and flat burnished. We use them on old sewing machines to prevent damage to the screw slots. 2.) That is a splined shaft. Turn it slightly and make certain it is aligned with the splines in the wood. Wouldn't want to over enlarge the hole. If a hole/insert feels a bit loose You can grind up some steel wool mix with wood glue and put a spot in.
I replaced the bridge and tail piece on my Gibson ES339 with Tone Pro's. I hadn't hear of Guyker but I like the look of those rollers. How are they held in place if the bridge were to be turned upside down?
@@guitar-academy Thanks. Sounds like the rollers are machine pressed in but are captive after that. Even my Tone Pro's made the factory bridge look rubbish - because it was ! The other gripe was that the nut was ( and still is ) abysmal. The guy who cut it either didn't know what he was doing or did, and had an axe to grind with Gibson. Sabotage comes to mind.
@@AlanJan_UK_49 Machine pressed, yes that sounds right. Sadly Fender are the same, they put parts on the guitar that come out of a Christmas cracker. 🤔🤔 The big name guitars better watch out because the small name guitars are catching up and overtaking them on quality.
Nice upgrade! I recently bought a Guyker Tune-O-matic in black with the tailpiece for a build I'm doing. Guyker makes quality components. Great video. As a reply to the ground wire thing, can't it also be grounded to the pots?
Consider if you do not change posts, and inserts, the dissimilar metals will cause corrosion of the steel on the posts at some point. If you replace them all parts will be titanium, and there will be no corrosion. I think this is why the provide new posts and inserts.
This is true but the process is very slow and can be stopped with a fine oil coat or lowed using a sacraficial anode. If a person isn't mechanically minded then they are far less likely to damage the guitar leaving the inserts in place than if they try to remove them.
Those fingernails!!!!! Bro!!!!! I felt like I just watched a video of Dracula doing guitar mods. Wow! How do you even fret notes? Why are you growing claws?! Is it for gardening purposes?! I'm in awe....
You didn't mention about checking your ground wire before install the new inserts, otherwise you could need to undone all the process and redo it all again. Sometimes that wire is side compresed by the post itself, and if you place the insert right away just like in the video a bad contact could happen which cause issues.
I'm interested in the Guyker tail, bridge and tuners as my Epiphone has Nickel hardware and it tarnishes so quickly where I live and stands out against all my other chrome hardware guitars and basses. I'm not a tremolo arm type player, but for the cost I'm considering the roller bridge in case I ever want to try out the Guykey Tremolo system. I wonder if it's actually wide than the traditional bridge though, which has reversible triangle saddles. The top of the saddle can be right at the edge of the bridge, but with a roller being a circle that contact point is brought in to the tope of the round roller. I'm guessing they are practically the same effective width. I'll jut g for the standard material, not the titanium version though. Nice review, I was confused when I saw it this morning hosted on there youtube page, so I guess they liked it too.
Thank you. Yes, I can see your point with the amount of travel for intonation adjustment. I was notified by RUclips that they've used my video, but to be honest I'm complemented, my channel is only small so it's nice to be noticed 😊😀

@@blueeyedsoulman it’s 54g difference and it’s closer to the midline than it is to the strap button at the bottom of the guitar so there is no way you’re going to notice any difference. If it was from the very bottom, maybe, but halfway between the bottom and midline of the guitar…… you wouldn’t notice any difference in neck dive.
Check out the properties of titanium in comparison to other metals. Light, strong, resonant. KTS published a group of sound analysis graphs for their titanium alloy bridges & saddles which show alot of how there's a different response with Ti. Some players like it, some prefer brass or bone. Depends on so many interacting factors and elements in a gear setup and then, each individual's ear perceives and hears uniquely. Find and be your self. It's all okay.
I'm a little suspicious of the quality of the Titanium, I've bought lots of Titanium parts for guitars, ie. Floyd Rose parts from Fu-tone, R/C car parts and Jewelry. I've never seen that amount of Titanium for that cheap? Their is different qualities of Titanium. Say a Floyd Rose tremolo in Titanium from Fu-tone is upwards of $600.0 usd. I'm in Canada so it gets really crazy with exchange on these parts. I would really like a Titanium bridge for my Epiphone to stop it from bending in over time and losing the raidus on the bridge, which is what I'm currently dealing with on it. I'm really curious about these parts!
Name brand tune o mastic bridges are 30. Also less material being there is no block. This kind of bridge is one of the cheapest you can get normally.. 22:00
@BeforeTheDarkAge I just bought a name brand bridge and tail set here in Canada, cost me $120.0 for the stock set, nothing special. I'm looking at the solid brass set from Fu-tone. I've outfitted 5 Floyd Rose guitars with Titanium and the brass big blocks from Fu-tone with zero issues. Adam seems to have great products, it's just pricey. The Titanium Adam uses seems like some great quality, none of mine show any wear issues or discoloration.

That's a good question . . The roller and the axle are separate parts and the axle fits into a slot so it can't fall out. 🤔

every 20 years or so, do a set up and oil the posts. Titanium and steel won't destroy one another for over a hundred years
