This one sounds really good. It does have some slight alignment issues though. One side sticks out further than the other side. Aside from that it’s a great sounding exhaust
Hey man. I feel like you said in this video or others, you have a PRL downpipe, and a PRL front pipe, so this 27won exhaust was from the front pipe back. Is that correct? I also have a PRL down and front pipe....just order my 27won exhaust today!!!! Question - is it straight bolt on/matches up? Just asking because the PRL front pipe is 3inches and 27won is 2.5 inch exhaust. Any issues matching the PRL front to the 27won exhaust? It does bolt on to the PRL front pipe, I have it installed. I do love this exhaust and the sound, but I’ve been going back and forth with 27WON with one tip sticking out more than the other side. I didn’t notice it until after I made this video. More than likely I will be requesting a new side with a shorter length so they can match. With that being said, before you buy it I would contact them and see if this will continue to be an issue with future exhaust. There is no issues running this without a tune
What's up brotha hope all is good. Quick question since prl intake going live next week pre-order, wanted to ask you think it's faster than the cobra? I know you said quieter which kinda sucks cause the cobra is nice sound but what would you say is quicker..I have the race maf BTW..let me know your opinion is greatly noted..thanks
I wouldn’t say one is quicker than the other, the car just hasn’t been pushed to the limit just yet to be able to get a real reading on which intake would make the biggest difference. Since you have the race MAF you would most definitely need a tune for that so you would see better benefit out of it than buying the new High Volume one that you can just bolt on and not have to worry about tuning. In my opinion, it just comes down to what you want. Do you want more sound or the cleaner look of the new High Volume intake? I personally don’t think you’d see enough of a difference between the two if you tuned the car with either, but you do have a RACE MAF so that might make a difference down the road if you decide to get a bigger turbo. Sorry this is all quite vague but I just didn’t notice a huge difference between the two. I personally like the way the new one looks in the engine bay
i read the 11th gen si exhaust is specifically made for that car, you probably wont have any gains cause prl i think did a test on the 10th gen stock exhaust and compared to other and found they all do the same thing and give minimal gains in power, in other words the stock exhaust is usually the best system unless youre going for sound which i assume you are, i have a glasspack on my 10th gen with the stock resonator and stock front and down pipe and its exactly as loud as i wanted it to be, silent at idle and low rpm but when you get on it.... it gets loud, i used to have a semi straight piped ( cat on because emissions ) 02 civic EX and that thing was just loud
Yeah I’m not going for power at all. Typically, Exhaust don’t produce any additional power below the 500hp marker, only when you’re making big boost/power is when you’ll see some benefit to a bigger exhaust system. This is strictly sound and looks for me
Yoo lui also wanted to ask you, can you play with the tips during installation?? So you don't run into that problem when your done..let me know I guess that's the only thing I need to know as you were right. The remark having the big tips mixed in with 3inch piping and no mufflers turned into a sad disaster. Let me know feedback thanks man.
The drone isn’t terrible on this exhaust after running it for some time now. Not sure what you mean by play with the tips. You mean like change them out for a different set? I wouldn’t do that if that’s what you’re asking. I really like the sound of the exhaust. The drone isn’t bad anymore now that I’ve driven it for some time
I do, it’s a good exhaust and I think they fixed the issue with one side being longer than the other. Watch my most recent upload if you don’t know what I’m referring to
You’ll probably have to get with 27Won and see what would need to happen, I’m sure you can make it fit but not too certain. I think it’s all the same across the trims, but doesn’t hurt to check with them.
Yeah that’ll do it lol but this was coming from inside the exhaust. I would tap on one section of the exhaust while the car is off and it was make a ridiculous rattling noise and it was in the middle of the exhaust so if something was in there I would have had to remove the whole thing. I tried to see if I could tap it enough to make it move but idk what was going on. And then one day it just stopped 😂 I was like wtf 😑😂
Because it’s larger, inherently that makes 3” exhaust louder than 2.5”. Thus explains why most manufacturers don’t come with 3” exhaust to be more conservative with how much noise is produced. Either that or they’ll have a valves exhaust that opens up to make the car louder in a given mode.
I had the PRL downpipe on by itself for a while and my exhaust sounded fine. The issue with the 27Won downpipe is that it’ll give you a check engine light and you’ll need Hondata or Ktuner to disable the light. But I have a down pipe install video too. It’s not too hard of an install. But to answer your question better lol a down pipe is one of the best upgrades for these cars. It will give you a lot more turbo response. Even if it’s by itself.
I’m not too sure. If it’s already dual top then I wouldn’t see why you couldn’t. If it’s not dual tip already then you’d have get rubber hangers from Honda for whatever side doesn’t have if.
I’m not too sure if the exhaust on the 2.0 is the same from the front pipe back. If it is the same then you could probably get the 27Won and be fine. I’m not certain how it’s setup/looks like under the 2.0’s so I can’t tell you for certain. You just have to come to the 1.5t community my dude haha it’s fun over here
