you guys have some amazing talented people ......
your video was very helpful. I am a visual / hands on learner, so I picked up on the various techniques used to create the movements. One of the more advanced movements seemed very complex until I worked it out in my to understand controller to handle it. You should make more videos like this one.
It's possible, pokie4life. You'll need to rig some compounding system that turns a small move (your jaw opening & closing) into a large move, puppeteering the Pred Mandibles. - David
It would be nice to get a lesson for constructing character puppet suits, with a mindset in the suiter, controls everything.
That and automating movement, like blinking without a controller.
cant wait for this lesson to come out
Just like the car's side mirrors. Nice.
+Stan Winston School - I want a lot more of this,it looks amazing.
This guy must live in Japan. He will be very popular there
+David Gendron he means tentacle porn
(´・ω・`)?
@@kathall9756 NYA~
@@kathall9756 Why do guys like you exist...
@@iceman18ize who said he likes it? It's a thing and we're all of aware of it's existence.
these videos you guys put up are just awesome, it's really neat that you guys are showing these things. Ive always wondered!
that looks amazing
Perfect stan winston studios perfect
wow 😮 you guys are so amazing and incredible ‼️
Animatronics is awesome, give the sensation that is a real monster.
Man, I love bowden cables!
Thank you SO much Dakota Crites. That's exactly the kind of feedback we're hoping for! Please share your work on our Facebook public wall! Thanks! - David
Getting through Lazzarini's Organic Mechanism lesson, great stuff. Hope to get Mr Landon's lesson on DVD as well, I want to learn this part as well, thanks Mr Landon
I like where this is going.
Amazing
Very cool, great engineering too.
nice work
For sure, we intend to deliver more advanced lessons as we build our offerings. - David
They really try to make it look super easy to do yourself
Making tentacles injury is rare. However, you should see our Men In Suits blog where suit performers talk about suffereing for their art. - David
I want to go there
ive seen enough hentia to know where this is going...
Cool
crazy
This video must be very popular in Japan. 😅
working on it
cool
good
I wish I had money to take the classes. it's kinda hard to get money for that kind of stuff as a 14 year old. I love what you all do and wish I could do the same. I you guys open a physical school, so many people will most likely come. me included.
This looks amazing but i domt think everybody has a workshop to make this at😅
That 80mm nylon rod, that I've seen knocking about at work, is soon gonna be a chest burster! I want your job! If you ever need another mechanical guy give me a shout!
I need some commas in your comment.
Good
ok thankyou

These guys supply Jurassic park
SemmyRace, Why then we'll have to put "Fur Suit with Tentacles" on the lesson agenda! -Matt
Wow berigod👍
A few days ago I finished one like it, but I have problems with the controls, you could show your control system?
That intro is definitely done that way on purpose.
I want badass Halloween shit
Can you make me one of all the stages of alien and predator
ohhhh.....okay!
how do u do some of those i need some time im making a chest burster from the alien series and it needs to be able to open and close its mouth and riggle around please help me soooooooooooon...
Top
intro look like a hentai XD !! no seriously great job men's !
ROFL! xD
NYA~~!!
where the hell do you get cable in that large of a spool?
how about make a video showing how to make mechanisms
I'm looking into making a fursuit of sorts, but of a dragon. I've seen designs for tails with lower tech mechanisms, but something with this much control seems much better. However, this sort of thing seems like it would start to get really heavy when you have a 4-6 tail and good sized wings as well. Is it possible to have both of these with this much control, maybe a little less, and still be able to carry all that on one person, or am I dreaming?
give it 10 years...you all know what we're thinking XD
Raptor Jesus your name is from the gaming beaver's channel...

@@RaptorJesus. is this account still alive? I like making sure old commenters are still alive
nope, i died for your sins!
A fursuit tail would be epic o.o
I was thinking more along the lines of making home made animatronics for indie movies and short films
but fursuit sounds fine to
whatever floats your boat .3.
Love the videos but it seems as if all the videos are interview or short clippings of tutorial videos. I do know from advertising bits you have had webinars for various things from the stan winston school but my question is if you guys have complete tutorial videos for free or available to purchase?
They say do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life.
Hey, if you can make it, that'll be pretty sweet for freaking out people
Is it possible to operate animatronics by using your jaw? I've had this idea to make a Predator head with operatable opening & closing mandibles, but no programming required. They would move by a series of pullies, elastics, and the pushing down of your jaw, so when yuo wore it, the mandibles would work by opening your mouth wide under the mask. When you closed your mouth, loose elastics would pull the mandibles back into place. If you get this, please tell me and give me tips maybe? Thanks! :D
I wonder, is there a way to create an uninterrupted, multi-stage mechanism, particularly one with different movement speeds at its various stages? Some of those mechanisms look like they could be a great basis for a flexible animal spine like a young raccoon - I ask because I find much of today's amateur/hobby level robotics has a retro, alienating quality, yet something like a Raccoon has very fluid, if more basic movements compared to a human being, and I think there are clues in animatronic puppets
What is the type of Plastic Used in the single axis "tail" at 0:37, and where would you get it? I am making small "monster" and I am stuck on the neck? Thanks for any helpful information.

That's called a mutation. Some of them are beneficial.

Movies will never be the same without Stan Winston. I don't care how much people love CGI! Hollywood uses way too much CGI! If Stan Winston was around he'd be very disappointed with how movie effects are now. Seriously Chuck E Cheese and theme park animatronics look better than the CGI Bullsh** movies use now!!
Mr.ScaryPasta jn
so all the aliens are animatronics
Я хочу такую
I have a monster apendage
can't belive that he still have 10 fingers...
That looks laborious. Lots of respect for the craftsmanship involved, but wouldn't some kind of computer-aided metal cutter speed up production time significantly?
Or is it deliberately done this way to school students in these crafts?
I know from my education that craftsmanship gives the artist the tools to express himself. R&D, tinkering, it's a great way to hone your skills, but when you're on a tight schedule and budget, priorities change.
Just wondering.
If they can process material, let them create useful things to sell and make some money for 3D computer animation
*Anyone order dominoes?!?!* 😎
Are you by any chance the man who accidentally made the knife wielding tentacle?
Now I understand. My education is wasted :)
I'm assuming that if you have the resources available to keep everything light, and have the appropriate cross-bracing, it's feasable. Unless you're a scrawny who can't hold it all up :)
Welcome to why the hell is this in my recommended videos
