thanks! none of my music is available anywhere, and this was just done to go with this video. do a DIY on the music acquisition, doesn't bother me! who knows what'll happen in the future. i never have and probably never will give a hoot about releasing my electronic stuff. it was just a way to write songs while i didn't have a band. right now i'm starting up a new punk band with a nice crew of sober vegan girls and boys. that's really what i play.
I have ridden with quite heavy boots some years and it's been alright but recently I bought a pair of new shoes that are much more lighter and better for tricks. And they are keeping my feet warm! I bought them in Sweden so I don't know about the availability in other countries. The Brand is Firefly and the model is called Rink. Here's a picture: www.intersport.se/Root/inRiver%20Resources/139874417039784856.png
Alaric Chen Gravity :) You ride a T-bar and button lift just like on a snowboard, your feet won't slide of the board when dragged by a lift. On a chairlift you hold the board in your arms while sitting and when getting of you just drop the board to the ground, position your feet and ride away. The best thing is that you don't have to stop and strap in, you just continue to ride directly into the slopes :)
I ride both snowboards and longboards, so I was wondering, can you do more on a snowskate or a snowboard? I feel that a snowboard will offer more, and there are more choices to choose from.
My tip: 1. Start by practicing to brake properly. Both toe side and heel side. Go straight on a small hill in a comfortable speed, turn the snowskate 90 degrees and push down the toe side/heel side to make the board and yourself stop. Continue repeating this practice until you manage to stop the board and stay still without walking of the board. 2. Combine the heel side brake with the toe side brake without fully go 90 degrees, creating turns to the left and right. When going from heel side to toe side, remember not to start leaning against the toe side until you have fully turned back from the heel side pointing with the snowskate straight down the slope. This is a basic advice, there is more details to it but I hope this can help you.
There are several different brands out there but I would recommend: predog.com ralstonsnowskates.com hovlandsnowskates.com And yes, you can go really fast with it :)
this is just some electronic simplicity i did for our video. i hadn't written a song with the computer for a while, so this is what i squeezed out. thanks for diggin it!

You can ollie on a bideck snowskate. You don't get as high as on a skateboard and the quality of the ollie differs due to snow conditions and weather. I've been snowskating for about 12 years and I didn't manage ollies untill some years ago, mostly because the boards are better today and other snowskaters led the way. Check out this vids and see for your self :) until the last move MFS snowskating episode 8 - Rippin' a Ralston (technical difficulties) ralston snowskates profile 2013
no way! we may not film like crazy and get the best stuff we ever do, but i snowskate because i can't stand strapping in, haven't done it in ten years and never will again. just that simple. if you haven't tried a bi-level all over the mountain you just can't know how good it feels....
We are not professionals, we just love snowskating and the feeling of riding without bindings down slopes of all kinds. that's really not the point. easier is definitely not what we're after, and we do a lot that we don't get on film. who cares. we snowskate because we don't dig bindings.
i loved that blue directional snowskate!!
This video is extra, it makes me want to try it a lot =D !!!

Where you buy this
This is rad!
How can I buy one???
What shoes/boots do you wear? I'd think skaters like maybe med tops to keep out snow but that would be cold

Snowskate Sweden! Thank you very much. Love your vids
DVS Militia boots. best choice
+airhead3333 why not just wear high-tops: water resist them with spray, and wear thick wool socks
How to you get up a hill if you were to take a lift?

Alaric Chen Imagination has no boundaries. When you free your feet a lot of opportunities opens up.
Cool, I guess ill stick to a snowboard untill i can master more tricks on my longboard.
