    I have the regular Take chair and I LOVE it. It’s so easy and lightweight to carry around. It’s very comfortable to sit in as well. I originally ordered the high back Take chair and the only reason I exchanged it for the regular one was that it had more of a recline than I was looking for. If you want to recline and lay your head back, the high back Take chair is the way to go. If you want to sit more upright (but not completely upright) and don’t need a headrest, try the regular Take chair. Both were excellent quality and mine has help up with frequent use for months. I just saw that Snow Peak also started selling replacement canvas seats for both chairs too, not that you’ll need it because the stitching and fabric are very sturdy. Great video Ryan!!

      They are amazing chairs! Didn't think I needed them, but I do enjoy sitting in them all the time! Great point to bring up about the recline feel on the high back. I couldn't agree more, if your looking to sink in and recline, then get a high back, but for most other situations the regular is perfect! Thank you for watching!

    Thanks for the video man! I ended up buying the low beach chairs because of your video and I'm so happy I did. They're ridiculously comfortable, lightweight, and even more beautiful in person. We've been using them as extra seating in our backyard and they became everyone's favorite seat.

    Helpful review as always. Debating the Snow Peak Low Beach Chair versus the new Dometic Go Compact Camp Chair. I'm a little over 6" 190 lbs, so I'm leaning towards the Dometic Go, but the Snow Peak feet look more friendly on the floor when used inside a canvas tent on rainy days. Wish REI had them side by side.

      @rtmadani  2 года назад

      Hey, thanks a lot! I've seen the Dometic Go chairs and to me the back rest looks a little awkward. From the pictures it looks like you'd have to make an effort to sit more up right if that matters to you. Definitely see what you're saying about the feet on the chair. The weight shouldn't be an issue though, Snowpeak say's in their Q&A's the Luxury low beach chair holds 225lbs.

      Jeff, have you looked at the Kermit chair? I’ve got a couple of them and love them. They pack very small, and are very comfortable, too. Plus, they are made by a small US manufacturer near Nashville.

    Man, low beach chair looks so nice and comfortable but I’m all about portability. I own a helinox beach chair and I love that it weighs 1-2 lbs and packs down to 15 inches in length. One downside to portable chairs like the helinox is that the seats tend to make a J shape and it cuts off the circulation to my legs if I sit too long. I’m looking at the snow peak low beach chair for this reason. Thanks for the review and I plan on testing out this chair.

      I know exactly what you mean, I have a couple Helinox chairs as well. I haven't found any other chair for camping that's similar to the low beach, but for me the seating position is perfect. Thank you for watching!

    Hey Ryan, thank you for your videos! It's maybe been a week since I've found your channel and have been really appreciative of all the information you provide. I'm planning out a new camping setup and want to ask - if you had to start over with your camp chairs and could only buy one, which chair would you buy, and if you could buy two types? Thank you!

      Hey, thank you, I appreciate your support on here! I think the most versatile and my favorite are the low beach chairs. We recently got the luxury versions as well and they offer a slightly different back angle and smaller pack size. Something to also consider is your table height. With these being lower, they work best with coffee table height. I bring along both versions though, the regular and luxury and they look nice together.

    Rewatching as I bought a pair of Snow Peak folding chair and realized how bulky and how high it is relative to the entry IGT. got it as a good deal as a second hand unused item from Japan. Still on the box. The Beach chair though is a bit pricey. Was gonna say you have an addiction with camping chair and realized that we now have 7 chairs and one bench.

      Nice, yeah they’re great chairs! I use mine with the single action medium and it’s perfect. When they had the shizen series for the low beach chairs it was a great deal as a pair, but I think those sold out.

    Thanks for the great video. I fell in love with these when I saw them at REI a little while ago. They remind me of the old director chairs. I’m considering buying two Take Long chairs as casual indoor lounging chairs. What have you noticed about their sturdiness and how well they would hold up to constant use?

    • @rtmadani

      The folding chairs definitely have that director chair vibe! The Take Long chairs would be perfect for indoor use, it’s sturdy and I’m very confident it will hold up well with daily use.

    We recently got a low beach chair and it's awesome. We love the look and how it's much more comfortable than my wife's Helinox. But I can't believe they discontinued the ottoman! Any chance you have a recommendation for a replacement ottoman that goes well with the low beach chair? So far I've found nothing satisfying yet.

    • @rtmadani

      Hey, thanks for subscribing and welcome to the channel! So for dishes, we use three things: Snow Peak Pack Bucket, Dometic Go Hydration Jug, and the Dometic Go Faucet. I just got these items recently but if you watch my video “our simple cozy camping set up” at the end I show the sink system briefly.
      Tips for dishes:
      - Quickly wipe off excess food with a damp paper towel prior to placing them in the sink.

    what's the main difference between the low beach and the folding chair?

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani  3 месяца назад +1

      The folding chairs provide a higher seat height and overall a very different feel. Personally, I prefer the low beach, however if you don’t want your chair that low, the folding chair paired with sitting height IGTs/tables is pretty good. You can also lean back in the folding chairs. Something else to consider is pack size. The folding chairs fold flat and the low beach collapse into a carry bag with strap.

    How do you like your Snow Peak lounge cushions? I’m getting a set up almost identical to yours with the alpha breeze. I don’t have any kids and it would just be my girlfriend and I, would you still use the cushions and round single action table M if your son wasn’t going? I can see where it would be handy if you’re stuck in the tent with weather but I keep going back and forth. Also your videos are amazing!!

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani  2 года назад +1

      Hey, thank you so much! The round single action and cushions are perfect for two as well. It’s super low to the ground, but for picnics and inside the tent it’s really nice to have on those long rainy days. We drink our coffee sitting around that table in the tent while our son is still sleeping in the morning. It’s really light and packable as well for picnics etc. The cushions fold in half for a higher seating position as well. One of our favorite items for sure!

    Hey Ryan, how would you attest to the weight limit of these chairs? It's hard finding specs for them overall so I'm not sure if it would say support someone over 200lbs

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani  2 года назад +1

      Hey, I think a little over 200 would be just fine. I saw Snow Peak answered a question to this under their luxury low beach chair Q&A's and they said the limit is 225lbs, so it should be the same for the regular low beach chair as well. The frame itself is very sturdy though, no flex at all.

    Great review and breakdown! I wanted the Low Beach to go with my Alpha Breeze tent but the price point was too restrictive for me in Canada $240+13% sales tax. I ended up buying a great Woods brand chair for $85. They make great chairs too for those on a budget and are in Canada.
    PS Ryan have you considered doing reviews on Claymore branded lights? They make awesome quality lanterns, area lights, portable fans etc. I’ve got some of their stuff and it’s awesome. It’s a S Korean brand.

    I like and considering ordering the Snow Peak low beach chair but I have a concern. It looks like the rear leg stands are not protected with pads like the front legs. Our camping spots are usually on gravel and hard ground. Is there anyway to protect the rear legs? How durable would not protecting it hold up on rocky gravel grounds? Thanks!

      I've used these on all types of surfaces and as long as the chair is on a somewhat level ground you'll be good. It will scratch, but in my opinion the scratches on the bottom don't really affect it. These chairs have held up great, I think you'll be happy with them!
