actually no. we still import majority of equipment. recent import figures were more of a trick than reality. Bjp just like congress allows corruption and red tape in the defence sector due to which we don't nothing changed and I dont think it ever will. We dont place an order with indigenous companies and import from foreign even though our stuff is better. Sarkari companies are as useless as ever. Only thing is that military is given free hand in BJP sarkar, but the main problems have not even been reduced by 1%. BJP was doing work till 2017. now they are as useless as Congress.
