All the cast of Heartbeat deserved Oscars.
I was lucky enough to know Bill, and to spend time in England with him. He was funny, talented, charming - and all in all a right good person to spend time with. Thanks for the laughs and the hospitality, Bill. I hope you are laughing it up in an even better "local" than your favorite of so many years (which was a darned fun one!) tonight and forever. God Bless and God Speed. You will be missed.
I am Norwegian and got to know Bill Maynard as the Heartbeat charachter Greengrass. After Heartbeat closed the repeats are going on and on. Many of the actors from the series are now gone. It's sad to know that. R.I.P.
