Normal behaviour for a Narcicist. He is obviously the scapegoat child. Mind you, the golden child doesn't fare better at all. It only suffers in another way.
And act as a victim. N do whatever she think is right n not what he wants . Still think it's his fault or everybody else fault but themselves
Best advice for these kinds of moms:
“You can’t marry your own son”.😅
So you want to be there for your son, but you continue to push him away. Then, instead of apologizing and doing better, you decide to manipulate and guilt with a suicide note. She is so selfish and doesn't deserve the kids she has.
Also the Mom asks what she told him. If you didnt do anything wrong why are you upset thinking she told him? You knew damned well you were awful. If you don't want someone to tell on you maybe don't do shitty things.
I love the fact that he was willing to protect her without being concerned about himself. His mother was manipulating and arrogant. She didn’t like the girl because she felt guilty that the girl knew of her abandoned relationship and the son loved the girl for loving him. 😢

I love this drama, but have to give it 7/10 because they did the ending abruptly. Out of the 40 episodes, they should have done 10 with the young kids, 10 with them as teenagers and the rest as it is with a full proper ending. But even though I only rate it 7/10, I still watch it over and over again.
This mother was one of the worst mothers, she is vicious, hateful and just plain evil who mentally ab*sed her son his entire life.

Totally agree with you... It's as if they toyed with the idea of a season 2 but didn't follow through so had to quickly wrap things up.... I am so annoyed the mother was afforded a "nice" ending, in that she was forgiven so effortlessly by Ling Xiao... There was no accountability for her years of manipulative torture meted out to her son, and daughter on a lesser basis.
The acting was top notch all around. The actress playing the mom gave a brilliant performance. She really made is an amazing actress. She impressed me in the drama Psychologist too.

Cada vez mas interesante las diferentes historias de este drama . Vi que el protagonista lloro pero a la vez encontro en el rio que casi se ahoga su madre . Recuerdo que solia ir a la costa de rio para despejarme olvidar por un momento mis batallas ; angustias . El rio ; esa brisa era como antídoto para mi. Le destrozó la vida a su hijo porque lo abandonó de pequeño, se casó y cuando tuvo el accidente y se quedó mal ahora si se acuerda de que tiene un hijo,mala madre
Spoiler alert! She suffered from PTSD but left her first born child, remarried a rich man, had another child yes she suffered but her Son suffered more because she BLAMED him for his baby sister's death and further abused. Couldn't the writers at the very least let her make a sincere Apology to his face! She never even said the words. This a good series but ticks me off that she did not show TRUE sincerity as his mother.
