We need to be more critical of Mbappe. Carlo needs to keep him on the bench for a while. He is not producing any thing whether defensively or offensively.
exactly when rodrygo comes back without a doubt in my mind he needs to be lw istfg if ancelotti doesn’t put rodrygo in lw ima lose the last bit of sanity i have towards him rodrygo has proven himself mbappe is a nobody here until he shows he actually deserves to play for us
Guys, be real) the next few matches neither ancelotti nor perez have any choice but play mbappe on the left. Let’s hope mbappe wakes up by the time vini is back
Must admit I was very disappointed we signed him! I felt it would upset the dressing room. Not sure what’s happening. Imagine Rodrigo & Endrik if fit on the bench seeing Mbappe play so poorly and not getting a chance!
I think Ancelotti has been more than fair starting Mbappe every match. The coach has given him plenty of opportunity to build up form and contribute. I think we’ve seen more than enough and he needs to be benched. Give a chance to Brahim, Arda, Bellingham in a more advanced position, and of course Endrick. If you don’t produce you get benched simple. Mbappe also lacks work rate. Fake pressing, not enough intensity, conserving energy to make those runs that go nowhere, not helping in defence when needed, and doesn’t drop deep when opposing teams block link up play between attack and the rest of the team (Benzema would do this). That’s why Bellingham is more effective, because he creates his own chances, he’s is everywhere. While Mbappe waits for the pass and makes the predictable run on the left lane or wanders around in the striker position. Bench him and use him as a sub late in game, maybe that will help build his confidence back up.
I agree with everything as always. The most fair analysis I have seen thus far. It’s natural to be critical of Mbappe at this point. Has he always not been a physical player? Always waiting for the ball and never fighting for it whether it be offensively or defensively? I do not know his history but I know what I see now. But I would like to talk about us as Madridistas now. So much talk during our struggles this year have had people quick to put some players on pedestals and rip into others for performances that left much to be desired. There is a growing mentality that one will make the difference. “Bench him and our problems are solved… once he comes back from injury we will be back again.. take him off the bench and we will win… if only he was still on the squad we wouldn’t be having these problems” We have a team of so many amazing players that their absence is surely going to be felt when they are injured. Yet, with players coming in and out of injury, we have yet to see consistently good performances against stronger sides who we ought to be level with at the very least. For this reason I am resigned to say the whole is lacking and am done praising or criticizing any single player. Arda, Fede, Jude, Cama, Vini can put on the performance of their life for all I care. It doesn’t change the simple fact that whole is still lacking. Something more needs to be done. As a team we are not in good form, simply put. It is hard to be competitive in this state and any success we see will be fleeting and fragile if the whole does not strengthen. A very tough road ahead for us all.
I agree, but I think we need to wait until next season. New manager (hopefully Xabi Alonso), and new players to fill the gaps and bring some much needed depth and balance.
the guy has a visible problem with the kid. It's probably related to his first game where he said to Carlo "calm down" which I read a recent article on Marca. He is trying to kill his confidence since day 0 with his actions. Yesterday, same thing again. The kid was not ready for the game for obvious reasons. He subbed him once again. Arda may not be in his best day thanks to you Ancelotti but really? Arda was the problem so you sub him off? He is playing with kid's mind.. Ancelotti & Arda is not going to work, it's very obvious. Ancelotti shouts to Arda after his shot. Did you see him yelling at someone else? Mr. Ancelotti, a game where everybody is ghosting, the kid is trying to do something at least.. Arda & Diaz trying to find a counter attack and you look at other players and nobody is coming?! Mbappe is sleeping all the time asking ball for feet. After the press conference he still talks negative about the kid. BRO, WTF?! Note: Endrick is dealing with similar attitude. Let me ask this? Did the team play better after cama and arda left? ..
@@abody499 4222 is still a different set up to a 433. (Is it LM or LW) A person occupying the Left Wing in either formation links up very differently with teammates- in terms of generating combinations-- the automatism between players requires playing field minutes /experience to develop a kind of 'telepathy' to have a better grasp/ understanding between players of what to do and when; what direction your teammate is likely to move, how and what kind of ball to play to your teammate that best utilised their skills...and so forth... etc.
Agree on Asencio vs Nuñez. I really have a dislike for Darwin. He's a provocateur. Asencio is an emerging gem. He's fast, reads the game well, positions well, tackles well, has the fight in him we need in a centre back, and he can also play. I rate him very highly.
@@abody499 Which by the way I think it's great gamesmanship. Whatever gives you an edge to throw your opponent off their game. But Vini loves it's brother let's be honest at least. I don't think it's a problem that Darwin Vini or anybody else does it. Players have used it for years ie the Zidane head butt on Materazzi after he talked about his mother. But he successfully got Zidane red carded legally so fair play.
He is by no means the ONLY issue but his way of dealing with the hand he has been dealt (thanks to the hubris and willful negligence of the board in terms of squad building) has exasperated the issue. Ultimately Carlo is concerned about keeping his job and that means for him and his staff keeping Perez happy. He continues to play Mbappe to no avail because Perez has been chasing him closer to a decade has hindered him but he doesn’t trust the young players that can contribute to possibly replace him. He barely gives the likes of Arda and Endrick chances and when they get thrusted into a high-stakes opportunity to cement themselves into the line-up, they fuck up (for obvious reasons) and Carlos banishes them to the shadow realm until the next injury crisis forced his hand. The injury crisis in the defense has forced him into a position that is buying him time.
@@xmari3goldx Please. Carlo didn’t make Real; it was Real that made Carlo. Just because we’ve won last two UCL titles with him doesn’t mean I’m gonna forget about the Benzema season and how some players bailed us out. You can totally see that these players don’t have any discipline. I mean, Mbappé loses the ball and doesn’t even bother to get it back, and Vinícius has a bad attitude with the refs and all that. It’s cool to give players some freedom, but they still gotta play like a team. Right now, these guys look totally lost and really need some guidance.
Mbappe world cup passport is OVER. i'll say it again - Mbappe is a "ONE-HIT WONDER". The undisputed best player in the world is Vinicius Junior. If Ancolleti wants to salvage something from this season, he has to BENCH Mbappe. Endrick has to start. The problems with Real Madrid are injuries and Mbappe - NOT Ancolleti.
You are absolutely right!! Carlo is not the problem. Mbappe is the problem especially. Is like everyone trying to play for him. We have had injuries problem before but we haven't been this dull until now.
Your observation is accurate. It’s surprising that no one is upset about the defeat, as everyone is well aware of the team’s numerous issues. Real Madrid currently faces several challenges: • Misaligned player positions: Players are being fielded out of their natural positions. • Impending departures: Individuals set to leave next season are still playing, while young talents remain on the bench. • Recurring injuries: Frequent injuries disrupt team cohesion. • Individualistic play: Players are acting independently rather than as a cohesive unit. • Lack of identity: There’s an absence of a clear team identity, with a different formation and strategy for each match, leading to apparent chaos. Regarding Mbappé, it’s evident he hasn’t fully recovered from the mental strain experienced at PSG, as highlighted by Pérez’s statements at the general assembly. When the best player in the world starts playing like Lukaku, it indicates underlying mental challenges that require support, affection, and patience. The responsibility now lies with Ancelotti, and we await his approach in the coming weeks. Let’s see what unfolds. Hala Madrid!
Luka had a good game. I agree he probably shouldn't have started because I was really impressed with Ceballos playing beside Camavinga on Sunday, but Luka did well. Everything that was wrong last night was from the attack, especially Mbappe, not working.
As a Arda fan, I must criticize him. He had chance and he must play better. I can not say that he is very bad but not enough. There are lots of excuses for him. Forexample Ancelotti did not give enough chance to Arda and Endrick, and they played against Liverpool because of the injuries. And they can not show good performance. This can be also an excuse but I don't want to accept it. Whatever Arda must be more mature if he want to be number 10 of the Real Madrid. Even he is 19 years old, he must prepare himself to his kind of situations. Yesterday I saw he improved defensively very well. He did also very critical tackling. But he is loosing attacking skills like Jude. Maybe this is because of tactic but I don't care. Arda must fight with this. In Sofascore his rating was 6.9 but for me 3.0. Because my expectations are much higher. If he want to be a star he must take more responsibility and he must be more professional with the ball.
@@kbrklc4255 yes he was average but I feel like if Carlo had rotated the squad better, players like Arder, Endrick and Brahim would be more in sync with the rest of the team
As long as Anceloti is the coach we ain't winning a thing. He has never defended a title in all his career and he ain't starting now. Idk why but its not a coincidence
The situation is absolutely alarming. We're so bad and we're missing so many key players. I honestly don't see how we're going to get 3 points in Bergamo, even Brest will be hard for us. I only see us getting points in Salzburg. I totally agree with you on the crazy schedule that FIFA and UEFA put us thru, but something is also going on with our training or/and Pintus. The amount of players that get injured is crazy. Also, Ancelotti's lack of rotation is a reason, although he doesn't have an option now at this point. He is so stubborn, have you seen how salty he got at the press conference before the match? What is happening to Kylian 😢, it's so sad to witness that. It's literally scary, I think he's struggling mentally. He clearly wasn't feeling well in his last year at PSG and was also struggling at the euros...if it's only a lack of confidence, he'll be back sooner or later...although we honestly don't have the patience for that, even tho we have to....I hope it's just not that deep. Camavingas injury is an absolute nightmare...
this game was a clear indication of liverpool's superiority. madrid defended well but the midfield lacks creativity and passing. only one team was playing football which is very sad
liverpool was playing with home advantage, and the first half while they were superior, the game was still balanced enough. if mbappe scored that pen, chances are, real could at lead drag the game into a tie.
Here I will say right off the bat - I cannot think of a reason to not believe that Mbappe is still working for QSG. I can't make any other sense of what he does. It's not just with the ball, it's everything - the positions he takes up, not showing for it, not making runs into space, not making up for his errors. With the ball, he has no touch, no dribbling, no shooting. I don't understand any other way. Confidence? Ok for sure, he looks like he has none, but that lack of effort without the ball, man, I just can't see why he's not still working for them.
@@abody499 Mbappe had waived his rights to those bonuses in order to get back into the Paris Saint Gemain 1st team, after being denied access. He had a gentlemans agreement. Only to go back on his word-- that is disingenuous! How do I know what his thinking? Don't be silly. You question why he still insists on payments from his former employer (a situation that has gone further to court) and in the same breath imagine Mbappe to some how have amicable relations with Paris--so good that he works with them. Listen to yourself. Don't be silly.
@@OGCHuila How do you know "Mbappe had waived his rights to those bonuses"? Were you in the meetings? All I know is what I can read in press reports. And from all of those over the years, QSG has hardly been a shining example of ethical practice. They also have a clear hatred for Real Madrid, with Khelaifi believing himself to be the victim of some grand injustice when his team couldn't hold their lead and capitulated under the weight of the pressure in the coliseum blanco and its great mythical remontadas of the kings of Europe. It was such a spectacular capitulation that apparently affected the sheikh so deeply that his fury is eternal. So, what I'm emphasising is that the whole thing is too bizarre, and the only explanation I can fathom is collusion with QSG on a grand scale. I couldn't obviously be certain, but make the actions make sense. They don't make any. The court case could all be a charade for all I know. For these sums, and with such an enraged sheikh involved, I wouldn't rule that out. Money is certainly one tool he has in abundance. But again, I don't really know. On the other hand, you claim very clearly that you know what Mbappe is thinking, along with some kind of mystical causality. So I ask again, how do you know what he is thinking?
You are spot on regarding Mbappe’s missed penalty attitude. It’s caused by no confidence which it turn is due to insufficient support from within team (no leader) and from the club in general (who defends him publicly?)
forget mbappe these injuries have killed us this season since the very start we haven’t had a full healthy starting 11 since the game against atalanta i think with the players we have currently it’s gonna be very tough to win against atalanta but hala madrid 🤍
Agree very worrying indeed! One surely has to bring up the question why so many injuries? The training is it too hard/intense. Understand the games come thick and fast, however we always are running into way to many injuries! Last year the head I believe of the medical team was sacked? Some how things must improve 😔🙏
Ancelotti obsessed with defence. Starting with defending mentality puts you into preserving mindset and you wait behind the ball. You are not attacking and you are not scoring. Real Madrid isn't defending team, never has been. Real Madrid means total domination. Best defence is a good offence.
Madrid can't play for 90 mins. We had the same issues in the Classico. Why is Modric on the pitch for 75 mins? If Carlo can't fix this sh*t he needs to go
I'm not pissed of Kylian Embappe missing the plenty kick, but what burns me inside is how he played the whole night. It is if he never played football before last night I'm totally disappointed but there's nothing I can do what's up what's my beloved Madrid
I knew we were going to have some problems as the game went on because of the many injuries we had, and the fact that we were playing away. However, I think Carlo needs to start keeping Mbappe on bench and try to give Endrick more minutes for this kid to grow into the game. Endrick is a complete number 9 player and that's what Madrid needs right now. Because at this point I don't know what is Mbappe prefer position on the pitch that will help him produce!! He has been tried basically in the two best positions that people know him to pay well...especially on the left wing and yet no good results. This is a player that has loss almost all of his senses of the game! His passes are poor, he doesn't help defensively or offensively and he's not even aware of his surrounding when he gets on the ball!! All I'm saying here is that until this guy can put himself together whether mentally or physically, Carlo do not need to start this guy. I think the stage is too big for him, so he needs to be coming off the bench when the game is at least 70 or 75 minutes to go. I am very sure this will help him gain his confidence back, understand the demands and slowly grow into the game.
The problem in the stats is all down to the coach. His calm approach has made the players nonchalant and with the absence of real leaders on the pitch, what else can one expect.
Some serious questions needs to be asked about Pintus. When we are having a minimum of 1 injury per game, and the same time we are the team the runs the least. I really dont understand how does he still have a job at the club. Also on the medical staff Vini had the same injury last season, other players are having repeated injuries as well. Players are being rushed.
I believe that the players are running more than last year because the team is not clicking, so they are running like headless chickens to try to get the ball all game. Its only a matter of time that bellingham and valverde get injured.
Hala madrid great analysis as usual....the game was a great game just madrid didn't have all their weapons. I know as madrid fans it's hard to take this defeat but we can't win all time
It seems to me that it is very difficult to find motivation when you have won like Real Madrid. All the great clubs of the past demonstrate this without exception. But Real Madrid did more than anyone else
I agree on Courtois at the 2nd goal. I thought exactly the same as it went in [when I say went in, I meant when the cross went in, not the header] - it should've been claimed.
@@simbamachafa3312 Claiming it doesn't mean the same as saving the header. Claiming it means he takes it from the cross before Gakpo headers it. He should have claimed it.
@@simbamachafa3312 Not taking anything from Courtois performance but he is right you notice he wants to claim the ball but refuses at an instant. I think he trusted Madrids backline but Modric (the smallest guy) was marking Gapko and played him onside as well quite bad luck.
@@ep9421 I edited the post to clarify what I meant and what I had said in a subsequent reply. At the time, I was focused on saying he should have "claimed" it and thought it was clear - this is because you wouldn't refer to a save like that as "claiming" it, because presumably it would be a worldy save with the finger tips. Claiming the ball is when the keeper takes possession in his hands and he can't be challenged. But I can see how it's confusing to say "as it went in" and looks like I meant into the net.
I don’t blame FIFA or UEFA for our injuries tbh at this point. The directors have not set up this team to win anything this season when you seriously consider the recruitment process for the last two seasons.
About Arda being sloppy. How many games he didn't play in a row? 5? He literally forgot playing. And He was excited I I could tell. Ancelotti is not rotating the team as he supposed to. His point for the match was 6.5 higher than 7 other players, and Ancelotti took him out of the match first. He has no guts to take Mbabpe out. İt's easy to point out a kid as spacegoat. That's unfair. Ancelotti is an unfair person. It is what it is.
I wasn't picking on Arda. I have advocated for him consistently, saying he needs to play more. But if he has a bad day, we need to admit it. I'm just calling what I see. He is an amazing player. But he did not have his night. That's all.
@TheGlobalMadridista I know man. I am not blaming or anything. I am mad at Ancelotti. I know you want Arda to succeed too. Don't get me wrong. I admire your thoughts.
Here’s my humble & simple opinion about the offense: Nail Bellingham at 10 and build the team around him. Carlo needs to stop experimenting with him like a joker. Keep Bellingham at 10, keep Arda near to him, Mbappe on the left (until Vini comes back), Brahim/Rodrygo/Endrick on the right, make sure they make the runs, tell everyone to find either Bellingham, Valverde or Arda and see what happens. My guess: magic!
In the case of Mbappe. He who feels it knows it. He knows what's expected of him and he's feeling the weight, that's devastating for him to miss that penalty. People keep forgetting he's still a young man. Hopefully he get it together and also it will humble him.
Mbappe is good. The player from two world cup finals is still there. He needs his confidence back. Camavinga is just so good. All that's left is a bit of maturity. Jude is beyond words. I thought he should have played his 9/10 role. Arda is special. The Turkish fans were right. This will be his breakout season. Asencio has been a revelation. Him and Rudi compliment each other. I actually prefer the two over Militao. He seems not to work well with Rudi. I think Carlo should give another academy player a chance especially at RB. Carlo will find a way. Unlike Pep whose system is rigid and needs specific players, Carlo can adjust.
I don't think Liverpool were much better. I think exactly like the barsa match, we could have won the game. Nothing is making sense to me, not in football, not in society, nowhere. Everything is upside down.
Spike proteins do that to y'all. That's why the Star Bucharest president infamously said he didn't want to sign any spiked players, for they can no longer perform at their previous heights.
We really have to have an inquisition into these injuries. Apart from the FIFA fixtures we need to look into our training plans it seems we’re pushing the players too hard. I think Carlo is overusing JB, FV, and LM because they are extremely talented players with loads of skill sets but I think because they are very agreeable the coach is taking advantage of them. He keeps pushing them to do too much because they are team players. I feel for KM and I think his gesture was because of all he’s going through at the moment hopefully he gets through it
I think that you need to see how Liverpool changed from the first half to the second, playing much more cautiously to start but then once realising that Madrid were not likely to overrun us, in fact i would suggesst looking to buy Conor Bradley rather than Trent. We advanced the full backs and pushed Madrid back to a mainly defensive position. It is telling that both goals were made by passes from our full backs. Liverpool consistently had the extra man, whether in defense, midfield or attackthrough intensive but accurate play. Good game and i am happy that for once Liverpool won.
I would be worried if this was happening later in the season. We will pass. Sure Mbappe is in a bad moment, Vinicius was not there, Valverde has to play RB instead of midfield, even Rodrygo was not there... Let's just hope this will not happen next year and we sign a RB. Also the home advantage... very strange new CL format.
My take on yesterday game. 1. Bellingham on the left didn’t work should have been in the middle where he can make runs into the box 2. Arda had space to work but didn’t know what to do. Still raw. 3. Mbappe was a disaster - beaten to pace, can’t control the ball and missed penalty. 4. Camavinga was the best player. All over the pitch winning tackles and working very hard. 4. Asensio the kid in defense was superb. Madrid has found a gem. 5. Intensity dropped big time compared to Liverpool who were sharper and pressing all the time, much fitter 6. Biggest issue was tactical staying back and not pressing Liverpool and letting Liverpool play.
Thank you, I've been waiting for this video. Your analyses are always great, this is the best Real Madrid channel in English by far. You're right about Ancelotti's changes, but maybe it's Ancelotti that needs to be changed before we get worse this season? Also have you noticed that all our ACL injuries happened to defensive players (Militao 2x, Carvajal, Alaba, Martinez, Courtois)? I mean, it cannot be a coincidence at this point? It'd be great if you made a video about this issue. Thanks again and Hala Madrid!
Thanks so much for saying that. I really appreciate the words of encouragement. Will look into the injury thing more closely. Because I have NEVER seen anything like this. It's insane.
I always look forward to your great game reviews! 🙏. Jude probably should have taken the penalty! As soon as I saw how poorly Mbappe was playing I figured he would miss. Correct on Jude played every foot of the pitch achieving nothing. Top of a diamond is his best position by far. Attack looked awful all game huge holes with nobody running in. HALA Madrid
I was thinking the same thing, Andy. The second Kylian picked up the ball and I saw he was going tot take the penalty, I had the same feeling. Jude should have taken it.
Why are we letting Mbappé play 94 minutes I think if he would’ve been subbed off around 60th minute it would’ve been fair no disrespect to Mbappé but it just wasn’t his night. Even Ronaldo cut swapped out
Players get injuries when they are overworked. This is not a new discovery. Noone in the team knows what they are supposed to do. Directing constantly changes. There is too much directing and too much work out without proper rest. Panic and fear mode.
It is clear of favoritism in the team for star player, something off about Mbappe and he needs to be benched. Players who really want this jersey and work for it should wear it. That was the situation Arda was facing last season having trash minutes but I think when Arda had the ball he needs to be playing more with Bellingham, Cama and Valverde more often.
To all those madrid fans who are saying drop mbappe , bench mbappe well they don't realise that MBAPPE CAN NEVER BE BENCHED. Wake up , this is not your FIFA Game.. Perez will sack any manager who will bench Mbappe . No one over writes Perez . So there is no chance Mbappe will be benched on basis of his performance . That being said I feel bad for Mbappe. Him breaking down after his penalty miss was hard to watch. Mbappe lacks confidence, players miss penalties but him not putting any defensive effort is just very pathetic . Now coming to Carlo , this team lack identity and certainly lack leadership . I don't care how many players are injured but the pool of players Carlo have , it's inexcusable to be this bad. I don't know what's the solution but Mbappe needs to get his shiz back or and Carlo needs to fix this or this will get even worse for us . P.s What a performance by Ascencio.
It's a terrible result against very good opposition. Probably could've been worse I agree with what you said and choose to focus on the positives I was impressed by guler and brahim and they will be very important in the upcoming games. I'm convinced Kylian has some mental block Last night's lineup looked geared to set him up for goal scoring I think he needs to sit one out and refocus but that may be unrealistic Rodygo seems to be back May even play against getafe. We know we need him against Atalanta Anyways, Hala Madrid
I totally agree with you, i cant understand this, we are loosing by 1 goal and modric is still on the pitch, whyyy? Why is he starting, i love him so much, but he is just to old to start this type of matches, we are loosing and endrick is still on the bench, why? Why is endrick entering pitch on 80th minute, i just dont get it, brahim dias in my opinion played bad and also arda guler had very poor game, i dont know, sometimes i just dont understand subs
The team has many problems, but I feel the main one, apart from injuries, is Mbappe, who should be scoring and securing crucial points. That penalty miss is unacceptable when the team is playing so disorganized. After a performance like this, Mbappe should sit on the bench. We’re at a tipping point: either we fight for some trophies this season or fail in every tournament.
Ngl, i feel kind of sorry for mbappe in some sense. i still believe hes going to turn it, i fiirmly believe so, and then the no defending will not bother anyone. We as fans have been very spoiled with success over the years so this is getting alot of press Hala madrid
I’m watching a lot of podcasts talking about Madrid and making an issue about Bellingham and his position on the pitch. So two things number the diamond worked because of Toni Kroos, number two Bellingham walked into a space left by Benzema so it was easy for the team to find him as there was a developed system in place. Additionally we have to note tha Guler is asked to play in the midfield and as a winger so it’s the same amount of running. Now things have changed we have signed Mbappé and endrick we have more forwards and thus we need to adapt our formation to a 4-3-3. Bellingham can and should play on the left side of the midfield 3. He needs to find an area in that position and not run throughout the pitch trying extra hard to make an impact If we can just play a few games with the same formation and maybe just maybe our team can turn around.
@ and that’s why endrick should start and play more often … if we are going to compete with the teams in this new format we need to trust our midfield to play as a 3 so we can pressure our opponents upfront and have presence in the CF position otherwise we are predictable and easy to snuff out
Karma for those who criticized and wanted Vini to let Mbappe play as LW, Vini is far better and Mbappe needs to get his shit together and learn to play as a 9 or at least help the team defensively
On Mbappe, the incident that's been played on constant repeat in England is the sliding tackle on him by the youngster left back Conor Bradley, who deputised superbly for the injured Trent Alexander Arnold. Mbappe didn't complain that he was fouled. Indeed, the "intelligence" of Vicinius is that he would have rolled around the floor, winning a free kick and getting Bradley sent off.
Hola amigo! Great analysis! Maybe few thoughts from me, if I may. 1. Choice of starting eleven and formation. I don’t think Anci had any choice here given the situation w injuries. But i actually thought it was good and balanced. I am not a geek on formations and all that stats crap that the current generation is obsessed with instead of watching game itself. However it did look a bit strange how the team interacted. After some time it is obvious that there is no balance. Cama and Jude are running for the entire midfield and attack. But not because the others are lazy rather the roles were distributed that way. You mentioned lack of running at the end. I didn’t think lack of attitude was that obvious (w few exceptions). Overall, this is coaching staff. Think Anci could do better w tactics here. 2. Completely agree on Jude. The kid is running himself out. I am more concerned with the mental aspect though. I know he is tough and shit but ambitious as well and losing in games like this hurts pride. 3 disagree on mendi. Never thought of him as a good player. Not a real madrid material at all. He was himself rather. I am more surprised when he is having a good game than a game like this. The 2:0 by half time at anfield two years ago was quite obviously due to his inability to play solid defence. F him. Hate the guy 4. Valverde impressed me a lot in the last couple of games. Not his position, but not unlike mendi he did his job well. Lucas looks much more vulnerable at RB position. 5. When Cama got injured, it was it. I disagree w anci that the missed penalty was the turning point. It was that injury. I was sure mbappe would not score. It was just a gut feeling. But that was just an episode. Somehow it felt that even if mbappe scored, liverpool would still score two more. 6. Modric is not a problem per se. In the games like this the problem is that the alternative ceballos. 7. Prime reason for injuries this season is competence of the coaching staff or lack there of. This was the same in 2015 when anci got fired after the la decima season. Finally, we are in a dark place right now. But i think of it as a period in time that every team goes through. Madrid has such periods just much shorter than most teams do. Regardless of what we fans think or desire, football is run by businessmen. We just have to enjoy the game when possible. I remember in 2015 my friend and I were enjoying wine at mercado de san miguel ahead of the liverpool match with a bunch of liverpool fans. And the game at anfield (think it was group stage) was 0:3 to madrid. And i was so confident we win the next day and you could clearly see that liverpool fans thought they have no chance. It was in their eyes. But they were with their team. In a difficult moment. Supporting and singing sons all night long. We will be there. Maybe not this season. Maybe not with mbappe. But we sure will. Cheer up amigo!
Carlo will never change, the only reason he played youngsters like Arda, Endrick, and Asencio are injury problems, otherwise, with his old-fashioned static, boring, uncreative 4-4-2, they would not get even near the 11. Up until 1-2 weeks ago, very few knew Asencio was so good, thanks to Ancelotti... As long as he stays, Real Madrid will go backwards, and if the president does not act soon, Real may not even get 9-24 for CL.
RM needs to fix the defensive side first since the team only has 2 heathy DB. Vallejo is just taking up space. Season is long and with the new UCL format, it does favor us and 4 points behind Barca with 1 extra game. Carol needs to stick with the tactics that won the UCL last year instead of accommodating Mbappe. Mbappe is feeling the pressure of wearing the white shirt and high expectations set forth by former players like CR7. He was the top dog at PSG but he has to adjust with other talented super starts at RM. Imagine RM gave up on Haaland for Mbappe to reject us last minute. Perez should have been done with him. No player is above the team.
As a Madrista and an honest one, I hope we get eliminated from this competition this season. That will bring about an urgency to solve all of our problems in the real sense by getting the necessary resources(players) to elevate this team. Unlike the signings of names just for the sake of it.
I’ve been wanting mbappe on the bench for a couple of weeks now but I don’t think carlo has the balls to do it I think he’s scared of the media but that’s what needs to be done everyone at the club says no player is bigger than the club , well they aren’t showing that right now with kylian he needs to be on the bench
You know we love Mbappe he has our hearts and it pains every Madridsta that he's not at his best but now is been a long time how can someone lose all his confidence he's scared to even shoot this Liverpool team I wasn't scared a single bit because I watch them play, another thing Ancelotti once he puts up a defensive team we always struggle I mean if you don't attack your opponent they'll attack you even more and the best defence is attack please we can't be relying on sitting back and wait for the counter all the time does this mean our team is the weakest in Europe?
Sir, I respect you. There will be always topics people have different opinion so its quite normal. But you kinda lost it when you said Mbappe was the guy with Neymar & Messi. I know you see them as rivals but cmon it feels seriously disrespecting. Especially these days, you should be thinking "wow, now it's very clear that Messi & Neymar was dealing with all kinds of mobbing and carrying Mbappe" Even, if one couldn't understand earlier back then. Today isn't it pretty obvious?
Thanks for the comment. I actually watched a lot of PSG matches during the period with Neymar and Messi, and Kylian was the best and most consistent performer for PSG during that period. This was especially visible the last two years. And it's not just my view. The French sporting press as well as the international press made very similar comments. But whatever the case may be, at the moment he is certainly not the PSG player we all remember. Let's hope this changes soon.
@@TheGlobalMadridista I wouldn't take French press that serious but it's alright. Hopefully things turn around soon. Let's see if Carlo will be able to do it or someone else. I just don't know where is the "enough is enough" point with Carlo though..
Good first 30min. agreed. I was being hopeful that jude or mbappe will find a goal or2. With fede at RB, we just don't have the midfield. Jude and Camavinga aren't enough to control any team. Modric is a legend, but his legs are almost done. Get 2,3 good mids next to jude and you've got a legit midfield. We need someone like macallister, or Enzo Fernandes. People with vision that can pass well. Mbappe.. like you said, I just don't recognize him. He looks psychologically fragile.. who knew? He never had to put up with adversity at psg. I have a buddy who said mbappe will be like hazard at real madrid. I didn't like what he said, and didn't agree. But... we're not there yet I guess. Injuries? Just weird. Don't know what's happening there. Never experienced anything like this since I watch football. I'd say give ancelotti the season, as a sign of respect because he is a legendary coach for us. But we need a fresh mindset, a new coach and a few players to compete again. I don't see ancelotti being able to motivate the squad any longer.
Perez wants to succeed in the Mbappe transaction and he negatively infects the entire team. With all the chances Mbappe had I think is the time to look to another option, see another possibility with Ibrahim or Arda and leave Mbappe in the bench for a while. Enough is enough.
We’re in the ICU-almost everything seems to be going wrong. No player is truly shining, and the relentless injuries are disrupting any rhythm or momentum we try to build. As you said the injuries are now literally selecting the staring line up!... I feel for Don Carlo. He’s made the starting lineup that many were calling for, or at least the injuries have forced his hand, yet the results are still far from ideal. Arda didn't contribute much, and Camavinga, who was starting to make us tick, is now sidelined. To make matters worse, Jude, Mbappé, and Brahim are all undergoing tests for injuries, awaiting for the reports. 🤕 One thing I admire about Don Carlo is his unwavering belief that we can still compete. Despite the mounting challenges, he hasn’t made a single excuse about the lack of signings or the injury crisis. I had hoped we might escape the full weight of a rebuild since we managed to win two Champions Leagues during it, but now it feels like the wheels are starting to come off. That said, every cycle eventually turns, and ours might be quicker to rebound than most. Even Man City appears to be feeling the effects of cumulative fatigue given the last few years and heavy schedules, proving that even the best teams struggle at times. We just need to keep believing in the team and its ability to rise above the challenges. Always have faith. Hala Madrid! 🤍
I think this is the first time I've actively disliked a player who plays for the club that I support. Of all the things we could criticize Mbappe for, the most offensive thing he has done throughout the whole season is his lack of effort. He barely runs for his teammates which makes him come off as a mercenary who's only care in the world is the wages he collects.
In ancelottis era we always go into big games with a defensive mind set and underdogs mindset ive never watched a big time where we dominated the game. Big teams make us look like a small club and then we would rely on some luck and individual brilliance to get some fugazi win. With have all these players and we cant even keep the ball for more than 5mins. Its sad. Ancelotti is great and all but he looks lost now.
We need to stop selling all our academy players, and some of them just really need to bide their time as this season has shown you will get your chance, even though Carlo is hell bended on playing one set of players for all games. Arda should have been seasoned in the team by this but Carlo's lack of inclusion until needs must, this is how he will play. Mbappé has to stop the tricks and flicks and try being technically sound and winning games before the show boating can begin, and it won't seem forced or outta place.
As a Liverpool fan , anfield always hire managers that are European and no the world of European football 'that was not always the case but is now in the modern game . They have moved with the times and don't always have to build they just do thier homework and choose very carefully who can work and add to what is on the pitch .
Honestly im blaming Perez and his "only buying real madrid worthy" players mentality. It's stupidity to not give players (transfers or youth), who would really work hard and also fit the clearly missing roster spots, the opportunity to play at madrid... I know this will not change, but going against your obvious flaws and assembling a squad that is more marketable than playable is just wrong. The brand Real Madrid is more important to the organization than the footballing showcase. Yes ancelotti has shown zero tactical instructions or improvement so far and has misstreated Arda and Endrick. Yes the players (Mbappe) can do much better and don't look like themselves. But at the base i blame the squad building and shopping mentality of our club. Losing your most important midfielder and adding another left winger without addressing any clear positional flaw in the squad, was a mistake. No right back? No ballplaying centre back? No striker? come on man. how can you ignore basic football balance and expect this to work. have you learned nothing from the galacticos? pure star power will never beat a well built and balanced side. The base quality of this squad is insane, yes. That's the only reason we will still compete in LaLiga. But europe is out of the question. Not without a striker and this current defense. I don't see a world where vinicius, mbappe and rodrygo can work together on the field. all want to occupy the same area and playing one as a ST and RW is just taking away from their game. this nonsensical position swapping mid game shit also has to stop. seeing them all together on one flank is stupid but them swapping places midgame is just as dumb. how can there ever be some sort of development in rhythm and link up play if attackers move all over the pitch without any boundaries. Also, why did we invest and develop so many years into a LW while at the same time having this multi-year transfer saga with another LW? other talents get a few games at best to produce magic at madrid and thats sometimes not even enough to grant them more minutes, but we waited years on a ROI with Vini... so many contradicting behaviours in this organization. im just confused. this is not going anywhere.
Our team last year depended primarily on Jude, Vini, Kroos and Rodrigo. Now, we're shit. Carlo cannot find a proper starting formation, he wasted Brahim as a 9😮😮😮 my point is, we need new ideas, Carlo is not up to it. We need a new manager. Don't care when.
By the way, have a look at Jude's heat map from last night. It will surprise you. I didn't have a problem with his position because he had to do a job on Liverpool's right attacks. But his heat map isn't much on the left...
damn .. just one player name Kroos retired .... see what has happened to us ??? yes, injuries are there. but see how absence of kroos quality player is affecting us.
We need to be more critical of Mbappe. Carlo needs to keep him on the bench for a while. He is not producing any thing whether defensively or offensively.
exactly when rodrygo comes back without a doubt in my mind he needs to be lw istfg if ancelotti doesn’t put rodrygo in lw ima lose the last bit of sanity i have towards him rodrygo has proven himself mbappe is a nobody here until he shows he actually deserves to play for us
No way Florentino allows Ancelotti to bench mbappe
Guys, be real) the next few matches neither ancelotti nor perez have any choice but play mbappe on the left. Let’s hope mbappe wakes up by the time vini is back
Mbappe out
Must admit I was very disappointed we signed him!
Mbappé needs a coach who doesn’t care about his status. He needs a coach that will give him orders he either follow or sits on the bench.
Just as we all expected Mbappe didn’t step up , it’s a shame at this moment
Mbappe. I don’t know what’s happening with this guy. It’s a really shame.
“Bench him and our problems are solved… once he comes back from injury we will be back again.. take him off the bench and we will win… if only he was still on the squad we wouldn’t be having these problems”
We have a team of so many amazing players that their absence is surely going to be felt when they are injured.
Very well said
Khelaifi tried to save us from mbappe but we didn't understand that
If he didn't reject 2021 deal we would probably still aim for 14th UCL instead of 16th
Also Vinicius would've probably been sold
I love and respect everything Don Carlo has done for us but it’s time for a change now this is not our Madrid regardless of the injuries 🤍
I agree, but I think we need to wait until next season. New manager (hopefully Xabi Alonso), and new players to fill the gaps and bring some much needed depth and balance.
Taking off Ancelotti mid season makes no sense, let him finish the job, next season, new coach
@@catbread2585sorry I didn’t mean now that would be silly, at the end of the season start fresh
If you take him out now you just creat many more problems. Chill out you changed a lot in past years, the chemistry isn't there yet
Carlo say about arda he lack of experience ,yeah because you bench him 10 games and you want this kids make some magic out of nowhere
the guy has a visible problem with the kid.
Did the team play better after cama and arda left? ..
At least we can put to rest the argument that Mbappe struggles because he's not playing on the left wing.
One game is not enough to establish running movements and understanding with players. The formation was a 442 and not a 433. Left wing him in a 433.
@@OGCHuila The formation was 4222 and Mbappe had instruction to occupy the left wing when Madrid played the ball out of defence.
@@abody499 4222 is still a different set up to a 433. (Is it LM or LW) A person occupying the Left Wing in either formation links up very differently with teammates- in terms of generating combinations-- the automatism between players requires playing field minutes /experience to develop a kind of 'telepathy' to have a better grasp/ understanding between players of what to do and when; what direction your teammate is likely to move, how and what kind of ball to play to your teammate that best utilised their skills...and so forth... etc.
Very good point !
Mbappe is an excellent finisher. He will finish us :(
Hahahaha
Ole
As soon as I saw Mandy, I knew that we will have a bad match.
Agree on Asencio vs Nuñez. I really have a dislike for Darwin. He's a provocateur.
Asencio is an emerging gem. He's fast, reads the game well, positions well, tackles well, has the fight in him we need in a centre back, and he can also play. I rate him very highly.
Is Vinicius a provocateur also or are you gonna conveniently ignore that
Vinicius is not a provocateur.
I will go to town on that.
@@abody499 Lmao stop the cap bruh he's the worst of anybody in football. At least be honest.
We definitely need a new coach. Not blaming him this last game but his tactics are outdated
You are very diplomatic, and I appreciate that, but we must be honest about the issue-it's Carlo.
@@xmari3goldxperfect honest review
@@xmari3goldx Please. Carlo didn’t make Real; it was Real that made Carlo. Just because we’ve won last two UCL titles with him doesn’t mean I’m gonna forget about the Benzema season and how some players bailed us out. You can totally see that these players don’t have any discipline. I mean, Mbappé loses the ball and doesn’t even bother to get it back, and Vinícius has a bad attitude with the refs and all that. It’s cool to give players some freedom, but they still gotta play like a team. Right now, these guys look totally lost and really need some guidance.
I think the problem here is Perez obsession with Mbappe, ofc injuries are doing their part
Endrick >> Mbappe
Your observation is accurate. It’s surprising that no one is upset about the defeat, as everyone is well aware of the team’s numerous issues. Real Madrid currently faces several challenges:
• Misaligned player positions: Players are being fielded out of their natural positions.
You are so right on all counts, Khaled. Thanks for the comment.
@@TheGlobalMadridista 🙏
Two things.
1. Mbappe never defended in PSG and France. Dont ask now.
2. His Speed starrted to slow down from the last season in PSG.
Luka had a good game. I agree he probably shouldn't have started because I was really impressed with Ceballos playing beside Camavinga on Sunday, but Luka did well. Everything that was wrong last night was from the attack, especially Mbappe, not working.
Ancelloti forces everything on Bellingham, and dont force or sub anything on Mbappe
I am Turkish and I mostly agree with you, but Arda needs to play with more teams. These boys by playing, but you are right about the match.
@@kbrklc4255 yes he was average but I feel like if Carlo had rotated the squad better, players like Arder, Endrick and Brahim would be more in sync with the rest of the team
@@cogo152 Thank you for everyone constructive criticism towards Arda, as these criticisms will improve her in a positive way.
@@marcosdheleno Shameful 😂
Here I will say right off the bat - I cannot think of a reason to not believe that Mbappe is still working for QSG. I can't make any other sense of what he does. It's not just with the ball, it's everything - the positions he takes up, not showing for it, not making runs into space, not making up for his errors. With the ball, he has no touch, no dribbling, no shooting. I don't understand any other way. Confidence? Ok for sure, he looks like he has none, but that lack of effort without the ball, man, I just can't see why he's not still working for them.
Mbappe loves Madrid and wants it to work out. His taken PSG to court for the extra 50 million. It may be karmic for him being disingenuous with Paris.
@@OGCHuila How do you know what he's thinking? Why is insisting that a former employer pays a contract agreement "disingenuous"?
Let’s just bring back Zidane for the next season.
If Carlo can't fix this sh*t he needs to go
You just knew Mbappé was gonna miss that penalty. Zero confidence at the moment.
I also had that feeling. Jude should have taken it.
The schedule is not the issue. They are playing the same number of games as last season up until now. It’s the medical staff that is fking this up.
I know as madrid fans it's hard to take this defeat but we can't win all time
Thanks brother. Hala Madrid !
That was a bullet. he ddnt expect gakpo to even get such a free header. Should blame the defense. If not for him it would have been 7
@@simbamachafa3312 Claiming it doesn't mean the same as saving the header.
Seriously, no goalkeeper was going to save that goal from Gakpo. It was a powerful header.
@ thanks my friend. We are on the same page here. And we both want our beloved club to succeed. Thanks for being a part of this family. Cheers amigo.
@@TheGlobalMadridista Cheers
He arrived to Madrid humble listen to his interviews. You need to get him out of that Bale house he now lives in. Why? Vaastu.
Completely agree with you, is just mbappe is dragging this team
You didn’t have a shot on target until the penalty of it was Lunin in goal we would have won that game 5-0
@@eaganadams331410-15 offsides by the way. couldve won against barca like 10-0 or something
…should probably seek therapy if it’s not only football lol
@@rmafan0 why? try to answer without condescension. if that's the only way, then we can discuss irl.
Great observation and analysis as always
Thank you :)
Mbappe has declined technically and lost some explosiveness he can’t dribble has no confidence he’s not the same player he was in 2022
Spike proteins do that to y'all. That's why the Star Bucharest president infamously said he didn't want to sign any spiked players, for they can no longer perform at their previous heights.
Now the world see that vini is the best we miss vini and rodrygo so much they are the back bone of our team
1. Bellingham on the left didn’t work should have been in the middle where he can make runs into the box
5. Intensity dropped big time compared to Liverpool who were sharper and pressing all the time, much fitter
6. Biggest issue was tactical staying back and not pressing Liverpool and letting Liverpool play.
Bellingham is on the left to covet for Mbappes luck of defence work.
Perfectly said !
Concidering the fact that wr play without a coach we did pretty well
Why are we letting Mbappé play 94 minutes I think if he would’ve been subbed off around 60th minute it would’ve been fair no disrespect to Mbappé but it just wasn’t his night.
If so Perez and Mbappe OUT
@EC-RUclips how old are you ?
@qazifaisal2374 same as your idol
@@qazifaisal2374 Mbappe is good when 10 players play for him and hardwork for him.
That's is the case in french team and psg
This entire season is just a complete disaster. A nightmare that I hope ends sooner rather than later.
It's a terrible result against very good opposition. Probably could've been worse
I agree with what you said and choose to focus on the positives
I was impressed by guler and brahim and they will be very important in the upcoming games.
I'm convinced Kylian has some mental block
Last night's lineup looked geared to set him up for goal scoring
I think he needs to sit one out and refocus but that may be unrealistic
Rodygo seems to be back
May even play against getafe. We know we need him against Atalanta
Anyways, Hala Madrid
do you think mbappe on the right, with Bellingham as a false 9/cam and vini on the left would work ? if they play the same roles that BBC played
At this point we should try anything !
You can't just bench 100+ in signing on fees. Especially when Vinicius ain't around.
No way vini should give up his position for mbappe this dude can’t dribble
Real Madrid should go the market and get some players to strengthen the club. The is money in this club to get quality players.
Ngl, i feel kind of sorry for mbappe in some sense.
i still believe hes going to turn it, i fiirmly believe so, and then the no defending will not bother anyone. We as fans have been very spoiled with success over the years so this is getting alot of press
Hala madrid
Mbappé is having some "battle" lessons with Ray Gun at the moment....😂😂😂
Hahahaha
We ran the LEAST of any team in this round of the UCL. And still we manage to get a couple new injuries. Wtf is going on here?
Because ancelotti is too stupid and stubborn to rotate, he always wants to play with the player he is used to playing with
Yes, this is a massive problem.
He needs to find an area in that position and not run throughout the pitch trying extra hard to make an impact
If we can just play a few games with the same formation and maybe just maybe our team can turn around.
A true 433 with Mbappe on the LW is the best bet to get the best of Mbappe, he needs to work around and with a target striker.
Mbappe will operate better under a 433 not a hydrid 442 that really doesn't accommodate a true LW.
F him. Hate the guy
Awesome comment. Thanks my friend !
Carlo can do it, it's Perez that's forced Mbappe onto the team.
We are Madrid and we shall be back, but Don Carlo got the formation wrong and Mbappe needs to step up seriously, Endric has to play more minutes
Vinicius junior is Real Madrid’s most important player
No doubt !
Mbappe is like a chicken without a head, while Endrick is like a chicken without legs
Hahha. Good one.
One thing I admire about Don Carlo is his unwavering belief that we can still compete.
Well said amigo.
Put Mbappe in Goal and have Courtois up field. I am sure that will probably work better.
Hahahaha
Thank God i never hopped on that Mbappe train since joining
We should give some playing minutes to endrick also at least against easy game in laliga
Totally agree
Next session my friend , Halamadrid
We need to be patient with Mbappé. He Will come back and score lots of goals for us.
The issue here is that there are too many injured players.
Something needs to change.. Carlo or Mbappé or both
In ancelottis era we always go into big games with a defensive mind set and underdogs mindset ive never watched a big time where we dominated the game. Big teams make us look like a small club and then we would rely on some luck and individual brilliance to get some fugazi win. With have all these players and we cant even keep the ball for more than 5mins. Its sad. Ancelotti is great and all but he looks lost now.
Very true !
Need to turn this around quick time ⏲️ hala Madrid 🎉
By the way, have a look at Jude's heat map from last night. It will surprise you. I didn't have a problem with his position because he had to do a job on Liverpool's right attacks. But his heat map isn't much on the left...
damn .. just one player name Kroos retired .... see what has happened to us ??? yes, injuries are there. but see how absence of kroos quality player is affecting us.
