As an artist myself I thought the quality of the painting, the craftsmanship was first class, but he seemed to like dusk, darkness and I love the sunlight. The other problem I had was his compositions. Yes he had some superb locations to work from but the compositions seemed awkward. The setting sun's glow just visible around the edge of a outcrop, that threw the outcrop into dark shadow. Other landscapes had huge dark trees right in the middle of the painting. Sad really ............ all that work.
I've just finished a tropical island oil painting complete with yellow sandy beach. Very blue sky and of course a few palm trees. Every time I look at it I take a deep breath as if the painting is telling me to breathe in and smell that beautiful fresh air.
I live here in Thailand and I have the sea right outside my condo, complete with yellow sandy beach and palm trees. So I'm VERY lucky. I paint every kind of subject. I've just received another commission but it's of a butcher's shop in 1925 in the UK. The huge carcasses of beef, chickens and pig's heads are all outside the shop on display .............. All hung up just like decorations. It's a pretty gruesome sight really And the staff of the shop are all outside posing for the camera. What a life they had. I certainly would NOT want to work there ! No, I like oil painting much better. So if you need something painted just let me know go2ssff@gmail.com
    Kind regards - Chris

For future talks, please consider repeating or summarizing audience questions. They are not quite clear enough to be intelligible. Thx!

Everyone’s learning environments are very different. I found it personally engaging with the cut off to her face, snaps me out of my tunnel vision when I lock into Alberts work.
