I've seen an interesting version of this deck that drops the Etemons for Gizmons and Akihara to give more control over when your Sukamons are deleted as well as more ways to trash cards from your hand.
I've seen time and time again where having an extremely sweaty meta can result in newer players not continuing the game. At some point there has to be some middle ground that offers newer players an in without having to feel like they have to play the meta-ist deck every time.
You know that picture of the guy on the award pedestal chugging champagne and stuff, but then it turns out he's in 3rd? As a Sukamon main, that's my energy constantly. Glad you're giving the king some love!
Okay, following up... very intrigued by everybody going purple with Hellscythe. Not my taste, personally, but maybe I'm just being too stubborn. KingEtemon is good, but the more expensive cost makes me hesitate to play more copies of him than BT11 MetalEtemon, personally. I could see an even split. Swarming with MetalEtemon has saved me too many times, sometimes even hard playing it and getting two extra bodies from it! But that protection from KingEtemon is A+. Keenan as a tamer is interesting. I only wish the memory gain wasn't only Opponent's Turn. I'm also surprised by the lack of Cooties Kick or Parabolic Junk! I guess Cooties gets worse when you're not running black tamers, and since KingEtemon lends to more defensive plays where you can't use the memory gain. But the memory gain from swinging into security with a Sukamon on top of the returning Chuumon often allows you digivolve right back up or straight up play another 'mon, taking out a security and ending your board state right back where you were. Very interesting profile... think I'll be sticking closer to my semi-rookie rush style but definitely tucking some of these tricks in my back pocket.
Not saying this is the perfect way to play the deck! I like to give a baseline of where I started and let my viewers figure out what makes it work for their particular playstyle or even local meta!
Was super excited for this video because this is my deck but while I respect that this probably runs great, super sad to see the expensive/Purple added to deck. Would love a purely black/yellow version, but maybe once new sets come out :)
When's the Mamemon? I have been having a ton of fun with CraniaChess and Mamemon. They are too fun especially CraniaChess man get into crania let me sit on board and protect the blocker while you setup for game. Which is surprising easy if ya run Giromon who is a perfect generic black lvl5 in my opinion.
Interesting take on the deck, ive got for more of a "pure" build, with Pagu as the egg, all the Chuumons as rookies, 4x plat, 4x bt11 & 3x BT3 suka as my level 4's, level 5's are all KingSuka, level 6's are 4x MetalEte, 2x King Ete, no level 7's instead im just focusing on gas & playing 3x Maki to search & recude evo costs, 3x BT4 Izzy (3 cost mem fixer is nice), 2x Ultimate Flare (open to other ideas) & 3x Pride Mem Boost. My build is more of a swarm build rather than control, I literally just throw "Shit" at the wall and see what sticks lol
Also viable! I don't think there is one true way to play any deck, there are many flex spots and individual techs that make a deck more aggressive or more control.

Ouuuh. Belphe Sukamon XD Let's gooooo
This deck is why I wish my city had a local Digimon scene, well this deck and Rosemon. I'd love to jam this deck for the culture for a casual local.

I love this. Straight up and heat with the ruin mode

Appreciate it! I do think that you could easily sub out those expensive cards though for anything else :3 especially cheap option cards for removal.

Surprised ai and mako st wasn't a choice. Could stack deck for etamon
The problem there is that you bottom deck everything on play. And your condition to use the effect has to digivolve into a purple Digimon.

Kinda like my build but I run Demimeramon, purple Tapirmon and Maki which also can search my DeathX 😅 great for a draw and trash engine
Another avenue to pursue. I think for me, this makes the digivolution crossing harder.
This deck is hot shit! Loving the upgrade!
Definitely fun to play!
Throw in a chaos degradation!
You could. I just choose not to because I want to maximize my chances of finding pieces or trashing other relevant ones.
