We all know you can pull off games in high tier games. Watching this is just sad. Stomping kids for content ... They protected on the last turn of perish song, what is this??? Wolfe, please, don't become the low quality content garbage we have enough of already.

yea mega gar was beyond ridiculous. i used it w sash liepard. gar set was protect perish song disable filler (shadow ball or sub mostly) liepard was fake out encore twave and protect iirc. the rest of the team would be bulky intimidate support + tr skill swap gothitelle. (played sm dou not vgc) it would lose on the spot to lele-deo or lele-megagross tho

I really like when Wolfey plays with off-meta teams/strats/mons. He has such intense game knowledge and it's very satisfying to see him defeat more standard teams in unconventional ways.
Some Poketubers do similar stuff, but it can sometimes come off as a little too cheesy. For him, it feels more like he's giving himself a handicap and finding the best possible set-up given the limitation.

Soak is one of my favorite "useless" moves ever since my Black Sludge Toxapex got soaked during my playthrough of the game XD So many subtle uses! Love seeing it here ^_^ and the team in general is really unique, made for an interesting watch! 👍

Even though it's not the typical battle, it's nice seeing two of my favorite mons in ranked. I haven't seen anyone use them thus far. I'm quite partial to Gen 1 and Gengar and Lapras have always been in my top five.
Lapras is the greatest Pokemon, period.

When you see a team of UU Pokemon it's either going to go incredibly wrong or incredibly right. Great video my man.
Tiers is doubles are vastly different than singles. Theres a lot of utility moves that are pretty terrible in singles but great in doubles.
@@MD-vs9ff Indeed. I say they're UU because I rarely see them used in doubles apart from Gothitelle.

Loved this strat when it was politoed, liepard, gothitelle, scrafty, Rotom-Wash, and the last mon I can’t remember, and I love it now. Every move matters more so than anything else I’ve seen, and the added strategy of it having to work perfectly is so gratifying when I win with it

Wolfey, I have two questions and I would like your opinion. First, what would be the advantage of using Soak in addition to transforming a Pokémon into the water type? Second, now that Pokémon Home is available and certain pokemons may appear or resurface in the meta, who do you think has a chance to be a great choice by players other than Incineroar? I am more and more impressed by the competitive that I am wanting to join this world. The path is complicated but everyone can do it, just think about strategies and test them. The deadly perish trap set-up. It's really deadly as a counter strategy to most teams.

I really want Perish Trap to become so prominent that somebody genuinely puts Trick-or-Treat and U-Turn/Volt Switch/Parting Shot on a team.
Perish trap v perish trap is really annoying and boring to watch, so I hope it never becomes more than an off-meta strategy

Ever think about changing Centiskorch to Togekiss? So the team can have another way to deal with taunt pokemon by going offensive like coil Sandaconda and follow me Togekiss . Good content as always :)

i love that people have taken perish trap, arguably one of the worst (not cancerous, just really bad) playstyles in all of vgc, which was nerfed even more with the removal of mega gengar and dynamax being immune to perish song, and still piloting it to success. truly a great example of both the builder and the player’s skill. amazing wideo

I only got into competitive Pokemon with Swsh, but as soon as I found out about Perish Trap I shit myself and then started making a team.

If receiver with passimian is available, you might wanna try using that, and let it receive shadow tag when gothitelle dies. Don't know if this works but I think it's a nice idea
