Guillaume Albert Vladimir Alexandre Apollinaire de Kostrowitzky, dit Guillaume Apollinaire, est un poète et écrivain français, critique et théoricien d'art qui serait né sujet polonais de l'Empire russe, le 26 août 1880 à Rome. Il meurt à Paris le 9 novembre 1918 de la grippe espagnole, mais est déclaré mort pour la France en raison de son engagement durant la guerre.
Le poème "Le pont Mirabeau" traite de la disparition de l'amour avec le passage du temps, dont la métaphore est l'écoulement de la Seine sous le pont Mirabeau, à Paris.
Une plaque sur ce pont reprend aujourd'hui les premiers vers du poème. Ce poème a été inspiré à Apollinaire par Marie Laurencin, avec qui il a souvent franchi ce pont et avec laquelle il commence une liaison en 1907. L'image de ce pont est liée aux souvenirs des amours du poète. Il dira de ce poème qu'il est comme « la chanson triste de cette longue liaison brisée », dans une lettre adressée à Madeleine Pagès.

Guillaume Albert Vladimir Alexandre Apollinaire de Kostrowitzky, known as Guillaume Apollinaire, was a French poet, writer, art critic and theorist, said to have been born a Polish subject of the Russian Empire in Rome on August 26, 1880. He died of Spanish influenza in Paris on November 9, 1918, but was declared dead for France because of his involvement in the war.
The poem "Le pont Mirabeau" ("Mirabeau Bridge") deals with the disappearance of love with the passage of time, whose metaphor is the flow of the Seine under the Mirabeau Bridge in Paris.
A plaque on this bridge now bears the first lines of the poem. Apollinaire was inspired to write this poem by Marie Laurencin, with whom he often crossed this bridge, and with whom he began an affair in 1907. The image of the bridge is linked to memories of the poet's love affairs. In a letter to Madeleine Pagès, he described the poem as "the sad song of this long broken liaison".

Time changes, while we get older is common in poetry. The water that flows in the river, always distinct is a marvelous metaphor of the 'time goes by'
I liked to read the history of the poet and this poem. Next time I go to Paris I must visit this bridge.

Grazie mille Samuele per il tuo apprezzatissimo commento. Recentemente hai registrato una cover dei Beatles (“Glass Onion”). Attualmente sto leggendo il libro “The Beatles at the Olympia” di Eric Krasner. Leggendolo, ho appreso che i Beatles hanno cantato al cinema Cyrano di Versailles nel gennaio 1964 (2000 posti a sedere all'epoca). Nel 1964 vivevo a Versailles e non avevo mai sentito parlare del loro concerto. Va detto che questo gruppo non era ancora molto conosciuto in Francia. Se penso che mi sono perso quel concerto, mi viene da vomitare!

Si l'amour s'en va, la Seine reste propre, c'est un avenir promis pour les Jeux olympiques et puis pour 2025 on pourra se baigner à volonté. Choses dites, j'espère qu'elles seront tenues, même si je n'aurais pas la joie de me tremper dedans. Je pense aux chaleurs à venir pour les gens proches de ce pont de Mirabeau ou d'autres 😊 Bravo André. Ta mise en musique est très belle et cette histoire d'amour était pourtant belle, mais que veux-tu, l'amour s'en va et beaucoup demeure. Bon weekend mon ami😊

A partir du pont Mirabeau, sur la rive gauche de la Seine on prend la rue de la Convention, la rue de Vouillé qui la prolonge. On croise la rue Santos Dumont sur la droite où Brassens avait habité. Après la rue de Vouillé, c'est la rue d'Alésia dans le 14ème et sur la gauche l'impasse Florimont où Brassens, encore, était venu se réfugier chez Jeanne pendant la guerre.
