    Whats the reason for the cut up trashbags in the tanks? Provinding some extra hiding spaces?

      , you are correct, to control and manage the stress on the fish, some fish stress out being in a open tank. They have to use something that is simple to remove and does the job. Live plants is not a possibility, they break down in the system.
