  • Here's a Video Rider Review of the 2008 Suzuki B-King. This motorcycle falls into the naked sport bike category but as the owner, DSJR70 states, the riding position is a bit more upright and could fall into the sport touring category. It's powered by Suzuki's Hayabusa engine and tops out around 150 MPH. More motorcycle videos are available at iRyde.net.

20mpg?? This guy obviously failed math! I have the two tone model and when commuting get 47-48mpg. Blasting the tight backroads with occasional sprints into triple digits I still get 32mpg. Maybe he's one of those squids that keeps the rev's near redline all the time. His limit on this comfy ride is 86 miles? That shows how much a "real" rider he is. I can easily pull 400 mi in a day, and I'm overweight, out of shape and have medical issues!! Can you say wimp...I know you can....

I find mine very comfortable indeed. 86 miles! That's nonsense.

I'm surprised by his gas mileage comment. I have a King and have gotten as high as 46mpg on a tank while cruising in rural ohio..

86 miles?! That's like a fraction of what I do on my sportbike. I'd take that B king everywhere!

We have big open roads hear. I live in Houston so I use the freeway or motorway every day to work. So we need some wind protection. But I am about to buy a Speed triple R

In the USA the market is cruisers and sportbikes. Everything else is way down in numbers, more like a cult following or niche market. I got mine in '09 for $7999. Best bike bargain in 30 years of riding. Plus its easy to find a an event....its the one with people around it. :)

Americans love the 'Busa. In general, full faring bikes sell better than their naked cousins. Naked bikes are popular in Europe, but haven't caught on in the U.S., and may never.

@@williedupont3544 Was about to comment to this guys old post when I read yours. Seems naked bikes, mine included, are everywhere in the US.

That interview... literal cringe. 20 mpg?only 86 miles? No downforce at 150? Even the interviewer was trippy lmao. I’m all for the bike tho.

Test-rode a SuziBKing and loved it but feared I'd play with the speed rather than respect it, so had to walk away. Beautiful bike, though. I think that was in 2011. Mileage had to have been better than 30, if I remember correctly.

Looks good. Mpg sucks for sure though. You would think a bike with this type of styling would do a lot more on the fuel side. Just normal riding, I get 41mpg from my 10r

gas mileage is between 30 and 33. I get that consistently.

They don't sell them in America any-more you mean, they are still produced Europe and elsewhere and sell very well. Americans just not ready for this bike no offence.

The economy was very bad in the USA in 2008. Really bad year to introduce a new model that was actually aimed at the USA market. Now is a very coveted bike. I been looking for an All Black B-King like the one in this video. I’ll find it one day.
