I know its about Albany, but sister cities Troy and Schenectady are minutes away and offer a lot of great entertainment, activities, eateries, pubs, etc. Just sayin...its all Capital District.
There are drive by shooting everywhere in this country, hell I even got shot at in middle of nowhere Fairbanks, AK. Every town has it's crime, no reason to be a pussy and not get out and see it. Albany is a lovely little city, and I am enjoying it immensely since I moved here.
I have lived in Albany for 20 years….no doubt like any US city(sad to say) there can be some violence…..can’t recall any recent shootings on lark street….many areas of Albany are outstanding… some not so much…. Lily white suburbs surround the city…. Suburbanites fear of violence prevents the city from living up to its potential…. It’s not that bad…. BEAUTIFUL architecture great restaurants theaters music parks train station airport healthcare etc…. No traffic… access to nature and mountains lakes skiing wtc It’s a pity apartheid lives on in American cities…. Makes it bad for everyone…. Would be great if we could all just get along
I'm in the lily white suburbs, my court/street has Russians, Japanese, French, local people who grew up there, African-Americans, and Indians... and its awesome. So....apartheid my butt.
