Jackie you are the best demonstrators I have seen. You give the best instructions for layering and I love all your video's. I watch your video's the most as you have such great ideas and make it easy to understand layering. As I am new to card making you make it so enjoyable to watch especially love your fun fold cards.
Thank you, thank you for going over these basics! I need to always refresh myself with this and nobody better then YOU to take us through these tips and steps. It's wonderful.
Could you explain in the future how to cut DSP to make the design go a certain way? I try to imagine the correct way to turn the paper but it always ends up the wrong choice. Thanks, Kathy
I absolutely LOVED this video. I have just decided to become a demonstrator and always get confused on how to know what to use when layering. THANK YOU.
Hello Jackie I love your videos. I’m having a hard time finding where you have the templates for cards, which would be so helpful. Please help Thanks Laura
Jackie, your templates have been so helpful to me, I have been doing card templates as well and love looking up a card I have made in the past and have all my measurement right there on the template for me, thank you so much for all your tutorials ideas and Dave’s tutorials too!
I am a beginner and want to know what the weight of the cardstock is. At the craft store they always have weights on the package. Thank you, I am learning a lot!
I’m brand new and enjoyed your helpful video. This seems like a dumb question I’m sure but I don’t understand how you did the score line on the cutter? I have a cutter that just has a cutting blade. How do I score like you did? Thanks!
Im in Australia so our measurements are in millimetres and our cardstock isnt the same size as yours. So i dont have to remember the measurements, i have laid down different colours of washi tape on my cutter for length and width so just line the card up with those 😆😆 love youe vids Jackie 💚
Help! I got the green glue and the edges seem to pull up. Do you actually glue your cards as you do on your videos? I am so hooked and brand new. Love stamping and learning
Thank you , I found it and signed up. Looking forward to receiving my catalog. Love your demonstrations. I'm learning so much. Made a Double dutchdoor card. It turned out so pretty.
Thank you for about cut cardstock it was helpful!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much. Very helpful. I’m going to make a set and punch a hole in each and put them on a ring for quite references.
Great idea!
Mountain in the middle. That's how i remember how to fold after scoring.
That's a great way to remember it!
I am making these and putting a brad on the side so I can see each layer. Thanks for your "instructions" they are always appreciated.
You're welcome!
Thanks for another fun filled, easy to follow video. I so enjoy your videos and blogs.
Thanks for watching!
Your layer templates are a sanity saver. I use them ALL the time. You offered them at a time when I was new so it was really helpful 😊

Great tips Jackie. I wish I had someone like you when I started. Thank you Jackie.
Right?! I'm trying to help the newbies avoid all the mistakes and hassles we had learning!
Thanks Jackie! I find I use Vanilla mostly when using a DSP that has that color in it.
Thanks for watching, Phyllis!
Jackie I made up those templates from a previous video you did. I use them all the time and love them.
I'm so happy to hear that you use them!
Thanks for sharing😉
My pleasure 😊
Loved the idea of making templates with the measurements on the template. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for this great video. It will definitely help
So glad!

I will keep that in mind!
@@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis thanks very much❤️
Cannot tell you how many times I have carefully thought about this and STILL cut it the wrong way. Tips and tricks would be wonderful!
I absolutely LOVED this video. I have just decided to become a demonstrator and always get confused on how to know what to use when layering. THANK YOU.

Thank you!! You made my day!
Well, that makes me happy!

I’m not a big fan of vanilla either but I have noticed that a few colors ie blackberry bliss, evening evergreen, look fantastic with it 😉
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing Jackie, this was so helpful. I wish I had saw this when I started year's ago. I'm going to try and make some templates . 😁

Hello Jackie

Hi Jackie, such a good explanation of how to cut cardstock. I'm trying to access your measurement templates and it's not opening up.
They are in the blog post: klompenstampers.com/learning-how-to-cut-cardstock-cards-2/
This is great
Thanks!
I am a beginner and want to know what the weight of the cardstock is. At the craft store they always have weights on the package. Thank you, I am learning a lot!
Our packaging does not contain the weight but I believe regular cardstock is about 100; regular whisper white is 80, thick whisper white/ivory is 110
Great video
Thanks!
This was very useful, cutting is an area where I make too many mistakes.
I hope that this will help you then!
I’m brand new and enjoyed your helpful video. This seems like a dumb question I’m sure but I don’t understand how you did the score line on the cutter? I have a cutter that just has a cutting blade. How do I score like you did? Thanks!
If your cutter doesn't have a scoring 'blade' on it then you can't. You'd have to either purchase a trimmer that does or use a craft scoring board.
@@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis would you mind recommending one for me? I’d really appreciate it and can’t find one. 😊

Thank you for your tutorial on layering! If only the A4 cardstock were of an easy size to deal with ...
Very easy for us to deal with here in the states!
How would I get a size chart of the cards that you are showing today how do I download something like that
You can copy and paste from the blog post--link is in the video description box
Thank you , you made it easy to follow. This always confuses me
Glad it was helpful!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the 'edges pull up'??? Yes, I glue my cards as shown on the video.
@@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis the corners seem to lift away from the card stock. Should I put the glue closer to the edges? Tky
@@lacymckenzie8646 Yes!
@@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis thank you Jackie. I have 0
I love the look of the 1/8th inch border! I just don't do it because it's easier and faster to read the 1/4 inch on the trimmer. 🤦🏻♀️
Thanks for watching!
How do I post them
Other than Facebook do u gave a place we can post on your blog?😊❤❤❤
I don't have anywhere to share on my blog. But I would love to see if you want to share on my Facebook!
I always forget the measurements, so I added a label to my trimmer!!
Great idea to help remember!
How do I get to your blog?

Does it really take nearly 19 minutes to show us how to cut cards?
This video goes into details about different card layouts and gives the measurements for multiple different card designs.
