    FYI, if you want hummingbirds, try red. Insects can't see red. Pure red flowers, like Lobelia cardinalis, have evolved to be pollinated by hummingbirds. Flowers of L.cardinalis and L.siphilitica are somewhat similar in shape but red vs. blue tells you which each has evolved to attract as a pollinator.
