I was the one who waved to you at 4:38 haha. This was by far the craziest day ever for boarding groups. We didn't get one either on this day. Took us FOREVER to get past the toll plaza and into the park. :/
We were there for a week . Our 2nd day there Feb 18 we tried to get on RotR and had no luck and I was super bummed , however we made the mad dash to Smugglers Run and got on through standby within 20 minutes. On our last day on property ,Feb 22nd, we went to Hollywood studios to try to get a boarding pass but went about it differently. We left our backpacks in the car was standing in the entrance line by 6:50 , once in around 7:05 we stayed at the front of the park near the entrance made sure to stay off wifi and hoped for luck be on our side. We got boarding group 50 ! We were so happy and excited that we got into a group and by 11:55 they were already calling our group for boarding. Such a fun and awesome ride or should I say experience . So cool that you are able to make several trips to Disney during the year , being from Atlanta the 6 hour drive makes it a bit hard or we would have annual passes.
Went on Wednesday 3/4/20, got inside at 9:04 am. the tram line took so long! I ended up getting a back up boarding group of 79, the ride broke down 2 times that I know of. I would check my status every 30 minutes and it seemed to be going by fast, I was notified to be there at 4:20 pm to be boarded. I WAS SO HAPPY, I was nervous I thought me and my son weren’t going to get on. By 8pm they were at boarding groups 130-140... The ride was amazing!
Mark Flores I had a friend last week with a similar situation. They even had the private butler tour for the day and that gave them zero advantage. She logged in wrong the first time and then by 9:05 she got group 89...approx 5pm the guide “butler” took them back. (He tagged along; hadn’t rood it yet!)!! I personally think they should require people to be in Hollywood Studios and not the other parks. Going in a few weeks and hoping to get on!!
Man, I know that anxiety of trying to get a boarding pass...it's crazy!! I believe I was at HS the same day you filmed this (because it was the first day of Smugglers Run fastpasses). My sister and brother in law came from NYC to visit. We were at the park an hour before opening and still didn't get a boarding group. The passes were gone less than a minute after 8am. I felt so bad for my sister who was looking forward to it (I've been able to ride it twice). It really is heartbreaking to see all the disappointed people...especially kids. You're right the guaranteed groups do fluctuate....I remember when the guaranteed groups went up to 125!! Luckily, we were able to get a FastPass for Smuggler's Run and experienced everything else Galaxy's Edge has to offer that day...but still...I agree.... they have got to come up with something better than these boarding groups!!!
Coffee, Kids, & Diz make it eligible for only people inside Hollywood not any park? Would force people to plan and less people getting them every day of their trip. I really like this cause I’m going in few weeks!!
David Lewis Yes it’s only for people who are in the park at opening and are able to join a boarding group. And yes I agree, in a sense it’s good but it’s just the mad dash to actually joking a boarding group that makes it so stressful. Once you’ve got your pass though, it feels good to just go on about your day. You could even leave the park and go to another one or back to your hotel. Good luck!! Hope you are able to get a boarding pass when you come!!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
We were there the day before and in the park a half hour before opening. When 8:00 came join a boarding group didn't even light up on our phone. Didn't get a boarding pass and we traveled to DW for this special. Very disappointing. Like that you don't have to stand in a five hour long line but for non Florida residence, don't know when I'll get the chance again.
Yeah and also what about the people from Europe, Asia or South America that are excited to do the ride but have no knowledge of the boarding pass, or Internet access or something... All the thousands dollars spent on travel and park entrance and can't ride the attraction... A bit unfair
Then go back the next day and try again if you want to ride it that bad. Hint: don’t get on wifi. Got park hopper in case I didn’t get a BG so I could go back any day and get one then go to another park until my BG was called.
I swear I always get the security guard who would actually do a cavity search if allowed...ugggg. Disney should be ashamed of how they are handling this boarding pass crap. It should be first come, first serve. I've been going to Disney at least twice a year since my kids were young (my oldest is 40 and youngest is 25), we are blessed to live in SC and can drive 8 hours and be there. For Other families this is a once in a lifetime trip. The second they started fast passes, everything in the park changed. Before you could walk around, watch little shows, see what rides had a decent wait and ride. Now all you see is harried people running all over trying to meet fastpass times and totally missing all the cool stuff around them. Its really a shame.
I went on March 2nd and was in the park at 7:50am @8am fought for my boarding pass and got boarding group #67. We got on the ride around 130-2pm. But by time we left the park at 630pm they were serving board group 120-125. This is working well for them, this is what Universal should have done for Haggrids Motorbike Ride.
At least with the boarding group you don't have to waste 6-8hrs in line to ride it. You can spend your day riding other things while you wait all pending if you get one. Which really isn't that hard.
I will agree that not having to stand in line 6-8 hours is beneficial. But at the cost of not everyone getting a fair shot is not okay in my opinion. Let people decide for themselves if they want to wait that long. Don’t make the decision for them at the gate
@@ThemeParkExpress I did feel bad for the families not knowing the process or the tips on securing a pass when I got mine. It really is a double edge sword. Don't get a pass or wait 8hrs with 2 toddlers. Both equally suck.
Everyone has a phone in their hand which means they could have done research before getting there like I did. I was pissed the first day I didn’t get one but I popped in the next day and scanned in then went to Epcot and got my BG at 27. 😎
This Boarding Group system is AWFUL !!! Wow, this is my second comment on this issue on your channel, and this is such an absolute disgrace !!! First come, First serve !! Jeez, what is wrong with this company !! Even if the ride breaks down, just get in the line. You are so fortunate to be a local with a pass, etc... After this type of fiasco, I will never purchase a Disney AP, and I will wait until friends/ relatives want to go to these Disney parks. No way am I spending plenty of money for such disappointment. Thank you for sharing this fiasco with us.
Jedi Dreamer you do realize if they just had people in line then families could spend four or five hours waiting to ride and then maybe not even ride if it breaks down?
Jedi Dreamer. This is the best way to do this not tell families with little kids oh you have to wait in line for 5 hours and can't leave to go to the bathroom. Do you even have kids they can't hold it that long.
@@nathancoffman894 Well, try to arrive at rope drop to avoid the long wait. Make the effort. How would you like to spend $150/day and not ride the latest attraction ? I've already been on most of the rides at these parks.
That "more deserving" thing is bull. Everyone with a ticket is deserving. Now you can say you are ok because you've already done it, even happy that someone else could experience it, but you are equally deserving.
Thats a main reason why im not a fan of the groups system. EVERYONE should have an equal chance to ride! The level of anxiety I felt that morning is unnecessary and shouldn't be a part of anyone's disney vacation
Totally agree here. I hate that argument because the system is only fair for people who can get their whole party there super early. That's not actually a level playing field for all. I have a 5 yr- old who is NOT a morning person. It would be ridiculous for me to get her up at 5am for a chance at riding. My hope is that after several months they'll allow for advance FPs or something like Smugglers Run.
Carly L you don’t have to be there super early. Just through the gates at open. When it first opened, yes, you had to get in the park super early, but they filled that loophole and now it is just luck of the draw honestly. I am not crazy about the boarding group system but can 100% agree why it is needed till the ride starts operating without so much downtime. It will be fastpass eventually, just need to make sure they can fulfill all the fast passes without breakdown first.
Of all the theme park reviews channels out there on youtube, you're my fav I must say. There's something about how you narrate your rides and stays in the parks that I find most entertaining. Keep up the great work!
If We don’t get a boarding pass this next trip We are not going to worry about it. I am Thankful for the great Videos that we’re shared showing the whole ride. Maybe eventually they will get a better system . Thank you for sharing This. Have a Blessed weekend.
I went February 12th. I was surprised at the crowds in what I thought was a slow season...I agree, there is no slow season anymore! I got boarding party 91 and got my notification to come to the ride at 3:35. The ride did break down halfway through, so I got a FastPass and got the full ride about 6 pm. That was before Smuggler's Run FastPasses, but I got in line with a 60 minute wait on the sign, but I was out of the ride in just under an hour.
Rising suns. When I went to Hollywood Studios on February 6th, Thursday. I got to the park ~40 minutes early. I didn't want to be stressed about running late. I was dressed in Anakin Skywalker Jedi outfit. Then I searched for a good signal and sat down to wait for the park announcement. However, this stranger woman sat next to me who had already been on the ride before, she kept chatting my ear off. Shut up for goodness sakes. You're stressing me out! I never said anything to her but just grunted like mmmhhhmm. She kept telling me how to do it, but I had already researched like 20 videos and had a written step-by-step plan that was different than her ideas. I politely told her thanks for the tips, I'm good. But she kept talking. Honestly, she made the experience really stressful. Don't be that person. Here's a tip, if you're the only one that starts the convo, then the other person wants to be left alone. I got boarding pass 41. The ride was amazing. Savi's workshop was amazing, Oga's Cantina was below average for me. As a result of being in Jedi outfit and having constructed a lightsaber, I got lots of interaction with stormtroopers. Ignite the spark!
You need to screen capture that "something went wrong" page and go to customer service. They can look up that you were in the park at 8am and your screen grab shows you were trying to get a BG while they were available. They typically then put you into BG 50 (it is huge and you want to be standing at the entrance when it is called).
I’m shocked how few people were riding Smuggler’s Run with a Fastpass. I guess most people just aren’t aware it’s available yet. My husband and I visit 2-3 times a year, but have decided to stay away from Hollywood Studios for a while until things calm down a bit. We’re thinking of trying in September. Fingers crossed it’s less crazy. 😬 I feel bad for people who come having planned a once in a life time trip and weren’t able to get a boarding pass. It’s not easy to just come on another day if you’ve planned out your trip for certain parks each day and already made fast passes in other parks.
Pay extra for park hopper like we did and you can go get a boarding group then play at another park until your group is called since you have two hours to get there. It’s the top attraction in the world right now so make sacrifices and pay up if you wanna ride.
Nathan Coffman can you add fast passes? We purchased the 4day/4park ticket. If we don’t get a BP wonder if I can upgrade a day to try again. I would be tempted mainly for the same reason you noted.
Wow what a great attitude!! But I REALLY feel for people who spend big money to visit, live far away and can’t get a boarding pass at 8:02?!! I wonder how long this high, high demand is going to last? We’re going to wait awhile before we try.
I got boarding group 90 today. They got to 76, then stopped for the day at about 5:30pm. Guest services issued a return ticket and a rise of the resistance fastpass for the next day
my dad got me to wake up around 5-6am to try to get a boarding group. but once the clock hit 7am, i didn’t even get a chance. all the boarding groups were gone in less than a minute, two days in a row. i like not having to wait in line for 8 hours, but i don’t like the boarding group system very much. it’s just not convenient since i have a 5 year old sibling who’s very fussy.
I've never experienced Fast Pass. I did Express Pass (at UO) back in the day when it was free and they had all those kiosks by the ride (even worked at one of them). What do you think about what some say that Fast Pass makes the standby line unbearable, and without FastPass the standby line wouldn't be as long?
Fastpass definitely makes the lines longer and and higher wait time that's why fastpass is first come first serve. I personally am in the middle as if I don't get a fastpass I have to get to the parks at opening to ride without wait but having to book your fastpass 30-60 days in advance is a great perk.
Fastpasses for sure make the standby lines longer. Smugglers run is a great example. without fastpass it was hardly ever more than 60-80 minute wait on a busy day. Since filming this video the waits have seen daily times of over 100 minutes. Fastpasses are a blessing and a curse. I just wish we had the Disneyland system back.
Hey quick question: can you do a informational video about "multiple experience" fastpasses. Guests think they are good for everything and they are not.
@@jillianthompson5357 Tuesday morning in the middle of September we casually walked right on Pirates, Space Mountain, etc...But... Galaxies Edge wasn't even built yet.
I have a question, what about the people from Europe, Asia or South America that are excited to do the ride but have no knowledge of the boarding pass, or Internet access or something... All the thousands dollars spent on travel and park entrance and can't ride the attraction... A bit unfair
I like the boarding group system bc it allows you to enjoy the rest of the park while you wait for your turn. Disneyland has 82 guaranteed boarding groups. But when I went they got up to group 100 something and that’s with it breaking down.
Have you thought that the number of people in each boarding group is larger than it was when it first opened? It is highly possible that as time has gone on, they have increased how many people are in each group. It is highly unlikely that FEWER people are getting on the ride. It is also possible that they are trying to close the ride early for some serious maintenance that needs to be done. As far as dislike for the boarding pass group, it’s ridiculous to think you could spend 12 hours in line for 1 ride. This system allows you to do everything else instead of standing in line all day for 1 ride. I prefer the boarding pass over standby and I’ve done it at both Disneyland and WDW multiple times.
That’s crazy. It’s nowhere near as bad at Disneyland. I went a couple of days ago and got one. I got one at 8AM. Think they were gone at like 8:05 sometimes later.
I like your attitude about this. I would be devastated and I am not a fan of the boarding groups either. I have a feeling that Disney is testing the waters with this for future rides. I hope it will be better in 2021. More people need to complain about this, so they do away with it. At least let resort guests do a fast pass for it. I guess we will see what happens.
I went to the Disneyland version. In early March (pre March 5th) there were I believe 117 boarding groups, probably wrong, but there are quite a few more than Hollywood studios. But now, no one can ride it! Thanks corona
My son and I go to Disney once a year and it scares me that we won't be able to ride rotr. We go in August. I'm hoping that there will be stand by and fast pass lines soon.
🤔 Disney's Fast Pass system actually equates to a 60 day wait in line (IMHO)‼️😖😖. Wife & I are joining our grandson & parents there the end of April...had to have them make decisions & all fast passes from their end to avoid the possibility of not getting same ride - same time ⁉️ Then think about it...you get to the park and still have to wait until your "assigned time" to ride anything popular...only difference with standby line is you get to roam while waiting. I preferred their old way of not being able to get a fast pass until in the park; if you've got to put up with that program at all. Just say'n. Liked your take on everything, keep it up!
What a fun experience at Disney world how magical . 3 hour wait for the slinky dog, 2 hour plus waits for everything else . There will come a time when people start to go elsewhere.
Hi, I love your videos...been watching them since im going in September. Hopefully its a slow peak then and I get to ride rise of the resistance 🙏 is it like that all year long where you might not get a pass for that ride?
I appreciate your positive attitude about the RotR "situation". Going w/ my family in March. I hope to have the same attitude as you when we inevitably don't get on the ride. I'm really not looking forward to letting my kids down...but whataya gonna do 😪
I went to Disneyland in Aneheim for my dad's birthday on Feb 20th and I had no idea about the stupid boarding pass. They should tell people at the park about it before we even entered. We were pissed. My dad loves Star Wars so left but we got our tickets exchanged to come back again but still. Im gonna go again for my boyfriend and I birthday since are only 1 day apart so we celebrate it together but im not gonna expect to go on the Star Wars ride
Disney should limit 1 visit per month for pass holders that way everyone can get a chance to get a boarding group . I’m a pass holder but it took me a couple of tries before getting on
Lots and lots of South Americans, i got group 123. This was last week on thursday the 20th. Highest group that day was131. I flew in from Alaska, my next trip? Maybe next dec before the South Anericans arrive. It was a great ride, once a year was just fine for me. The boarding group plan is perfectly fine for now.
I was there on the same day and there was glitches in system. I was not able to get in but a party sitting behind me got them about a minute after it said it was full for me. Like you I rode it already and was bummed but got over it pretty quickly. I felt bad for the numerous people from out of the country and non passholder a who had a one day ticket just for this ride. The wait times for the other rides were ridiculous this day as well. System needs to be fixed or open a standyby line for those willing to wait while boarding groups are called like fastpasses
Omgggg this looks crazy I'm going in few wks with 3 young kids and this looks insane. Your right about food ppl shouldn't go grab table just order through phone like u did. Awful what the staff have to deal with when disney has done q systems and crowds but think it's good that they dont go open it again altho if they could see u were there early maybe ask again would u like to join in rather than open for everyone. I'm dreading it now ahhh but also excited just been single parent going from Ireland I wont b there if ever again as costs a LOT to travel over we call it a once in a lifetime holiday
hey adrian. hope you remember me but i went there on my bday. couldn’t score a boarding group. i went to guest relations with my mom to complain due to the app not working properly like LOGGING INTO A VERY OLD ACCOUNT. so they gave us a boarding group which was 9 and i was able to ride. what a terrible piece of technology
They need to get rid of the boarding system. Its so unfair for other people that saves for years and comes to visit and kids are so excited to ride. But you have to get up super early and you are not even promised a pass then. Just do the stand by line. It will give people a chance. People regardless are gonna wait, guest's have been doing it for years and will continue to do so. The app sometimes always will have a glitch.
Disney kid Young. It is far and first come first serve to get the boarding group you need to be in the park so they are there first before anyone else.
Option A: Rope drop DL, run to the ride, get in line, and potentially wait 8 hours standing still before riding or finding out 6 hours in that the ride broke. Leave the line angry, or sit down and hope for the best. In the same spot. Option B: Rope drop DL, rely on luck to get a guaranteed time frame with a boarding pass. You find out instantly if you are not going to ride. You spend the rest of the day doing everything else at DL. OR you get a boarding pass, spend the rest of the day doing everything else at DL until you're informed that it's time for you to ride. You have an hour to wrap up what you're doing and then go ride. Seriously, why are people angry over this? It's one thing to be angry that SO MANY people want to ride it so that it's difficult to get a pass. But to be angry at the concept of boarding groups?? How is it better to sit in a line, and only that line, for hours on end with no guarantee that you'll ride vs finding out immediately that you will/won't ride and getting to walk around the park all day?
Just Jessee regular fast pass would be better in my opinion because then you don’t have to arrive early to maybe not ride. If you already had your fastpass you could sleep in and still ride.
@@rachelsewell7026 It'll get there, but not for at least a year. Like how they did Smugglers Run. The demand is still too high for ROTR, those fast passes will be gone at the 6mo out mark by people staying on resort and that's still only a small percentage of total capacity for the ride. You're still left over with the non Fast Pass riders. What do you do with them? Either A or B. WDW and DL have slightly different fastpass systems so then you're adding in compilations with instructions being different on both coasts vs right now a single set of instructions for everyone attempting ROTR
Just Jessee Maybe they should do the regular fast passes and then for everybody else boarding passes. that way at least it takes those that already have a fast pass out of the boarding pass distribution game.
If I travelled all the way from Canada to find out I had no chance getting in, I would be suing Disney to get my travel fees back, and guest recovery guaranteed paid trip back the Hollywood Studios with guaranteed Rise of Resistance entry. People saving up for months even years for this special moment for Disney to stomp all over it is just how much they want profit . I would have honestly said, take this slinky dog pass and say give me the 8,000 that cost me to get here . (even budget price is minimum 3,000)
I am going in June and I already have the anxiety of am I going to get on rise as I am a big star wars fan and as I live in the UK I probably wont be able to go back to WDW for a good couple of years afterwards
We were just at Disneyland last weekend and we managed to secure group 40 on our second day there, we had to return to the ride 4 times to find it up and running, at the end of the night there were a lot of sad faces that didn’t. The first day we didn’t have much luck and I believe it was because my phone was trying to use the Disney WiFi, so you try leaving WiFi on but “forget” the Disney WiFi network on your phone, also run an internet speed test while your waiting and walk around until you get a good signal, don’t open the app until official park opening, good luck.
Crowd control my guy. That’s why boarding groups are in place. The ride is super interactive, with an 18 minute ride time, and the chance of breakdowns. So instead of having a standby line, with a huge chance of ppl already in line not being able to ride it, they’re resulting to giving everyone a chance to obtain a guaranteed ride time. The only issue I have with the current boarding group set up is having to be in the park to get one. They should have a designated time when the passes will be available, and then give you the chance to obtain one without having to physically be in the park, with the only caveat being you have to be in the Orlando area, so you aren’t trying to get a boarding group while at the airport in another state or something. Outside of that, I don’t see the issue. Everyone has the same chance to get a boarding group, and if you happen to lose out, that’s life. No one is at a disadvantage here. If you really want to get on the ride, you’ll make sure you’re at the park at a good time.
@@iamslf It seems to work at Disney for all the other rides why not this one. I do think there should be a limit of someone getting 1 guaranteed boarding group a week of something similar.
Chris Humble , well, now that I think about it, in a way it is first come first served, the first to book it on the app gets to ride, but you have to be in a designated area in order to get the chance. I think being that the ride is so long, the wait times will automatically be insane, so think how long the wait times would be if half the park was trying to ride it. I remember the last time I rode Flight of Passage. We were lucky enough to get fast passes which gave us a 20 min wait , the standby wait time was legit 5 hours, and that was well over a year after the ride opened. So imagine what the wait time for Rise of the Resistance would be without boarding groups.
This has been a worry of mine every time I head to ride Rise. We live about an hour away. So far we have always gotten a boarding pass, we got 12 on Saturday, but we walked in four minutes to 8 am. Any further delay on I-4 and we would have missed it. I did see something interesting though. A man coming in at 9:30 Saturday yelling about Boarding groups being gone already. No research there.
@@ThemeParkExpress I think about this often, not only must you completely know the process, you still have to be fast and rather tech savvy to get a boarding pass now. They were gone in 36 seconds one day last week. What I would love to see Hollywood Studios do is have boarding group availability at the top of every hour. This would allow people all day to try and would also mean that if you walked in at 4pm, you might still have a chance to ride it. Just drop 1500 an hour or something like that.
@@allgoodontheroad Ever hear of first come first served. It is not fair for people who were there since gate opening to let people who wonder in at 11 or 12 get groups when they couldn't and they were there longer.
The boarding groups have fluctuated I have seen it go down and then back up day by day. I think the number of boarding groups is based off of planned maintenance etc. it is an incredible ride but so unreliable, we won’t see boarding groups change till the reliability increases
I’d like to think they’d be low but over the last few years everything I though I knew about crowds at Disney has been thrown out the window. There’s no more slow season at Disney.
Ya, we just got back and go late January to mid February every year. this was by far the busiest it’s ever been. If going in April Just avoid going anytime around anything resembling a holiday.
@@William_Alexander some states have a break for grade schools in February. I live in New York where all public schools had off the week following Valentine's Day.
It seems that the ride was breaking down A LOT at the beginning, so maybe now that it's been open for a while that will change and the number of groups will rise again.
Sounds like a Disney conspiracy with the reduced number of boarding groups. I never been on the ride. So you have to be at the park at 8am to get a boarding pass?
The crowds there for a Wednesday may be due to the work schedules people have. Saturday and Sunday are no longer the most common days people have off from work anymore.
I really dislike this boarding group thing for Rise Of The Resistance, That puts stress on almost everyone who are wanting to ride this new attraction, and the fact that if you can’t get a boarding group, then you can’t ride at all makes it so unfair. I feel really bad for all those people who traveled all the way to either Anaheim or Orlando for this ride only to find out they can’t get on the ride at all, Why couldn’t they simply open A Standby Line? Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run didn’t need this boarding group thing and What’s the big deal if the line gets up to 3 hours long? Avatar Flight of Passage still gets a 4 Hour wait to this day and yet people are still willing to wait that long since it guarantees them a chance to ride. I really want to know so badly when this boarding group thing will go away, no answers on it from Disney so now who knows when this will end?
also, when I went it seemed that it was easier to get a boarding pass? I went twice and got group 15, and 35. and one day I got into the park at 6:58, 3 minutes before they got distributed
Chris Truth would you be more pissed about getting a backup boarding group or spending 5-6 hours in line then the ride breaking down and you don’t even ride that day?
Nathan Coffman ya that would suck too...we’re going in April 30 just hope I’m one of the lucky ones who’s gets on , $10000 family trip is a lot of money to spend and not get on your favourite ride
Was this the day the glitch showed up in the system where people outside of Hollywood Studios - some of them not even in Florida! - got Boarding Group passes?
Brandon there’s a limited number of them. They can only board so many people in one day till the ride functions more consistently. They don’t want people sitting in line for six hours to “maybe” ride the ride if it doesn’t break down.
I've been very fortunate to get boarding passes in DL this week. The ride is awesome! However the re-rideability is eh. Like it kinda gets boring after awhile. They need to find something to change it up. Maybe something in the interrogate room? The theming and queue and the whole first time experience is amazing. Second time is cool... Third time... Eh. We will probably be skipping it tomorrow and Friday. No need to take boarding passes away from others if we don't need to go on it again
They are reducing the number of boarding groups and keep closing the parks at 8 pm. Disney is getting so stingy with park hours. We need to start emailing Disney to express our dissatisfaction with these stupid changes.
Wow, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s annoyed that Walt Disney World keeps closing their Parks so early at 8:00 PM, that’s way too early to end your time at A Disney Park, hardly anyone is even tired that early (except for a few toddlers here and there) I even asked a Cast Member At Magic Kingdom during my trip to WDW in January this year, and she said that the reason why the parks close that early is because it’s “off season”, How is it off season if a ride like the Haunted Mansion gets a 2 hour wait?! I’m glad that Disneyland In Anaheim California is nice enough to stay open til midnight almost all year, why can’t Walt Disney World do the same? It’s embarrassing for a much bigger resort 😑
Denise Connolly I got one like a month before out trip then I got a toy story and milennium falcon back to back while in the park after our first three were used. It’s really luck of the draw
One thing that others has suggested is not to be on WiFi. Your cellular data will go faster then the WiFi. Also, go in early then he did must suggest being in the park a half hour early. Then, make sure the time is right, Hollywood studios has a lot of early start days recently.
Melina Wolff thx for the advice I arrived three minutes late and got group 129, by 5pm we were in 🙌🏻 they went up to group 200. Everything ran smoothly!!!
So tired of all these APs and vloggers making their daily videos on the ride. Those two categories alone are a huge problem to the boarding system. If your an AP and have ridden it twice, do something else. You are the problem.
@@ThemeParkExpress I appreciate seeing and hearing the ones who have only done it once or twice. But theres some channels out there daily making boarding pass videos. They are fun to watch I get it, but that whole party of vloggers could have been an open vehicle for the people who are spending their last day of 3 days struggling to get their own boarding pass.
Chris Humble no, it’s essentially the same way they do it now but this way people won’t be showing up there crowding the gates. You should be able to join the line at a certain time in the morning (when the park opens or whatever). It’s not only annoying that everyone is crowding up the gates at the crack of dawn but it’s also dangerous.
I love your attitude. I wish the Passholders in California had your outlook on this whole situation. Great video. Keep it up.
Aww thank you for the kind words
I got into the park 4 minutes after 8 and got on boarding group 122 and they never got to me
I was the one who waved to you at 4:38 haha. This was by far the craziest day ever for boarding groups. We didn't get one either on this day. Took us FOREVER to get past the toll plaza and into the park. :/
It was a crazy day. I wasn’t expecting it to be THAT insane tbh
@@ThemeParkExpress We were shocked
I’ve been thinking once someone has been on it they should be prevented from getting another boarding pass for a couple of days
This is insane! Those poor cast members. Thank you for this update!
😂😂😂😂 you sound dumb as hell dude
@@nathancoffman894 Well, try to arrive at rope drop to avoid the long wait. Make the effort. How would you like to spend $150/day and not ride the latest attraction ? I've already been on most of the rides at these parks.
@@William_Alexander You're dumb as hell.
@@ThemeParkExpress 100%
@@carlyl7020 So you don't believe in first come first serve. It is the only fair way to not have lines 5 hours long for a ride.
I get a kick when guest start yelling at the Rise ride opts , like it's their fault that they can't get on haha ohhh people :)
Of all the theme park reviews channels out there on youtube, you're my fav I must say. There's something about how you narrate your rides and stays in the parks that I find most entertaining. Keep up the great work!

Just found your channel. Cannot believe how quickly boarding groups sell out 🙈. Enjoyed your video & subscribed 😊.
Thank you so much for the subscription! Im happy you enjoyed!
If We don’t get a boarding pass this next trip
We are not going to worry about it. I am Thankful for the great Videos that we’re shared showing the whole ride. Maybe eventually they will get a better system . Thank you for sharing
This.
Lol I was at holly wood studios and at 16:08 the girl drinking the blue milk is me. We were able to get a boarding group though:)
Happy to hear that!
Yah I passed right by you and noticed the camera
Thank you for the update. All pass holders should have your attitude! 💜
Enjoyed the video, but now I'm a little more stressed about actually getting a boarding pass on my next trip to Disney 😬
I wish you the best of luck!
It’s very unfortunate and I hope it changes soon!
Guest services issued a return ticket and a rise of the resistance fastpass for the next day
That’s really unfortunate
It is nice they did that but what if your flight left the next day?
Emmy Gerard I don’t know because I returned the next day and got to experience rise of the resistance
my dad got me to wake up around 5-6am to try to get a boarding group. but once the clock hit 7am, i didn’t even get a chance. all the boarding groups were gone in less than a minute, two days in a row. i like not having to wait in line for 8 hours, but i don’t like the boarding group system very much. it’s just not convenient since i have a 5 year old sibling who’s very fussy.
Love your attitude. New subscriber here.
This video gives me anxiety 😳 going with my kids next week and I sure hope we get to ride it at least once!!!
Yeah.. commented before finishing the video...
Ask and thou shall receive
@@ThemeParkExpress thanks pal!!!
Thank you really enjoyed your take on it.
This is why I’m going after Halloween. Never try to go to a popular attraction 1. During a busy time of the year 2. First couple months of opening
Joseph Collareta yeah but late February is one of the least busy times of the year
Jillian Thompson well there was a race at Disney recently. May explain the crowds
It was mid Winter recess for a bunch of schools the week I think he went. I'm sure that contributed to the crowd.
Best of luck to you. I don’t think boarding groups are going anywhere anytime soon
Rick Lowers obviously you’re not a planner
What a fun experience at Disney world how magical . 3 hour wait for the slinky dog, 2 hour plus waits for everything else . There will come a time when people start to go elsewhere.
It’s a terrible system that hurts a lot of families
Hi, I love your videos...been watching them since im going in September. Hopefully its a slow peak then and I get to ride rise of the resistance 🙏 is it like that all year long where you might not get a pass for that ride?
I appreciate your positive attitude about the RotR "situation". Going w/ my family in March. I hope to have the same attitude as you when we inevitably don't get on the ride. I'm really not looking forward to letting my kids down...but whataya gonna do 😪
I wish you the best of luck!!
I’m a pass holder but it took me a couple of tries before getting on
Eryn Rose they should just not allow pass holders. What benefit is it to Disney to let so many people in free everyday?
Emmy Gerard in regards to ROTR
Why don't people just book their fastpast months in advance like we did? Does Rise Resist have fast pass?
Rise does not have fastpass available. It’s only accessible by boarding group only. Hence the reason so many guests flood HS so early in the morning.

With ROTR I think people forget where they are. You’re in Disney, the most magical place on earth! There’s so much fun stuff to do!
Agreed
I wish you the best of luck and I hope the situation changes by then!
We just got back on the 14th and we didn’t even attempt ROTR. I couldn’t put myself and my two little girls through that stress
That is not fair ever here of first come first served?
Chris Humble , first come first served doesn’t work for hyped rides, the crowds would be too big to properly control without incident.
@@iamslf All you have to do is be in the park there is no designated area.
I’m going on March for spring break and I wanted to ask you at what time should I really be at the park to get a boarding pass for my kids and me?

Boarding passes go in 2-3 minutes in California. The rise drama
Its unfortunate how those poor guests who dont do research and are coming in blind are going to miss out and potentially have their day ruined.
@@allgoodontheroad that is a great idea!!! It gives people hope!
@@sherrymcmahan6260 Ever hear of first come first served?
@@allgoodontheroad Ever hear of first come first served. It is not fair for people who were there since gate opening to let people who wonder in at 11 or 12 get groups when they couldn't and they were there longer.
The boarding groups have fluctuated I have seen it go down and then back up day by day. I think the number of boarding groups is based off of planned maintenance etc. it is an incredible ride but so unreliable, we won’t see boarding groups change till the reliability increases
It scanned me in the park at 7:37 at 8 am it said I was not in the park lucky my wife got one and added me to her
How do you think crowds in late April are ?
I’d like to think they’d be low but over the last few years everything I though I knew about crowds at Disney has been thrown out the window. There’s no more slow season at Disney.
Ya, we just got back and go late January to mid February every year. this was by far the busiest it’s ever been. If going in April Just avoid going anytime around anything resembling a holiday.
If you filmed this when schools all over the country are closed for mid Winter recess, I can understand why it is so packed on a Wednesday.
Still asking myself that question today
Mid winter recess? Wth is that? Do you mean Spring Break? Or Holiday break?
@@William_Alexander some states have a break for grade schools in February. I live in New York where all public schools had off the week following Valentine's Day.
It seems that the ride was breaking down A LOT at the beginning, so maybe now that it's been open for a while that will change and the number of groups will rise again.
Sounds like a Disney conspiracy with the reduced number of boarding groups. I never been on the ride. So you have to be at the park at 8am to get a boarding pass?
The Smugglers Run ride here in California has a single rider line.
There’s a single rider line for the Florida version as well
So you can just get in line for that without a ticket??
Brandon smugglers run has stand by, single rider and fast pass. Rise of the resistance has the boarding group virtual queue.
Not gonna lie... still don't quite understand the boarding group thing. How does it work?
At least you're able to go unlike cast members 😭
I know!! I’m very thankful but I feel so bad for my CM friends who can’t go!
@@ThemeParkExpress luckily I was able to ride it once but its just sad how I can't visit one of my favorite parks
Going the week of st patricks day and i just know I’m not even going to bother trying and I’m a huge Star Wars fan
B3autifulSinn3r * it doesn’t hurt to try as long as your expectations are tempered. We got there at 730 and got in and got a BG.
Heyy! question, I went on january and the boarding passes we being distributed at 7 am, does the time change depending on the month??
also, when I went it seemed that it was easier to get a boarding pass? I went twice and got group 15, and 35. and one day I got into the park at 6:58, 3 minutes before they got distributed
I’m glad, that I don’t really like Star Wars because I’m going in April and I have no idea how few boarding groups there be, when I go to the park.
Spottedtime I’ll be there then as well...it’s going to be crazy packed unfortunately
It’s like the mad max movie when the boss releases the water and shuts it of , not everyone gets some, is this what Disney has stooped to
HA! YOURE NOT WRONG! 😂
That was a few days later
No way lmao I thought there’s like an hour Window to get a boarding ticket??
Nope. One minute. Maybe less
Fair point
I was expecting the other agenda you were there are for the previews of Runaway Railway but I think you don't work at Disney.
Lol I used to work for Disney. Saddly not anymore.
Was it hard to get a fast pass for smugglers run I think my son would love this.
Denise Connolly I got one like a month before out trip then I got a toy story and milennium falcon back to back while in the park after our first three were used. It’s really luck of the draw
I would be pissed paying money for a Disney ticket and not be able to ride what I pay for. Especially with ticket prices on the rise every year.
THIS IS MAKING ME NERVOUS IM GOING ON SUNDAY
Best of luck to you
One thing that others has suggested is not to be on WiFi.
I’ve seen many other vloggers ride it many times. I’ve only done it once on opening day. I won’t disagree with you on that though
I'm skipping Hollywood this year...I'm not fighting to get on a ride!!!!..epic fail Disney!!!!
Yeah Disney, shame on you for making a cool ride that everyone wants to ride. Total epic fail on your part.....🙄😒😂😂😂
I feel like they should’ve given these out in advance. Like be able to join the line before you get to the park that way it’s not crazy there either.
That is not a fair way to do this the way they do it is the only fair way. People should not be able to get in the que before they enter the park.
@@user-lk8oo4hc5k It is not fair all the ques are first come first serve why should this one be any different?
What a disaster.
Some security officers do their job while others do not basically haha
You don’t get in. end of story
Guest can’t be mad
Idiots are late
Don’t hate boarding groups, get out of bed a little earlier
Aw
8:56 hahahahah
Could you have walked any slower lol
