When you get coffee at the Roost, you can wait to drink your coffee indefinitely by selecting “it’s too hot”. After doing that for a handful of days in a row, he offers to make the coffee cooler for you. Nothing huge but it’s sweet to see Brewster switch things up for you.
I've never played the old games, but I heard Brewster used to seem more intolerant if we want cooler coffee. He compromises too much in ACNH😭😭 (yet I want to get roasted in The Roost🤣)

I'm sure people have experienced this but if your villager is sick, Nook won't let you change your villager's home interior. He will say that he talked to them earlier that day and that they are not feeling well enough. You have to go give them medicine to be allowed to design the interior of their home
Nice, makes sense if someone isn’t feeling well they probably wouldn’t be up to that
I've also seen in a video that they call in sick if they work in a restaurant etc. at the archipelago

Joan appears at the hospital on the HHP island every Monday and gives you free turnips!! It happened to me today and she said she has a routine checkup every Monday, so I'm assuming she'll be there next week, too!

Hahaha yes! Same happen to me! And I think that she is there every Monday, last one she gave me 100 and yesterday she gave me 30 turnips. But I'm no sure how are the max and min that she can give you

If you make an Vacation home for Kapp'n in HHP, he'll insist on his whole family having the home with him, and he'll bring them all to the house, regardless of if you have their individual amiibo, all you need is Kapp'n's amiibo. It's like a 4 for 1 deal

If one of your main island villagers is assinged to work at a facility on HHP, they will call out when they get sick and another villager will take their shift for them.
As far as Celeste or even Wisp for that matter, when Isabelle says so-and-so is visiting, it would be nice if she hinted at the others. I don't have time to play "all day and night", but if special character is coming that night than maybe Isabelle could say something like "aren't the stars so beautiful tonight" or get the shivers and say "something gave me chills!"
That way the "short on time" or "lack of energy" players still get to enjoy them and can pop in later in the night to look.
I LOVE that she tells us about Kicks and Redd, don't get me wrong, but it's a missed opportunity for the other characters.
She does mention when gulliver, gullivaar, cj, flick & Sahara are there
But i like the chills part, that would be cool!
She mentions when there are shooting stars. It happened to me last night
Actually when i logged on the other night she straight up told me that Celeste was visiting, so unfortunately she wont tell you ahead of time but she will tell you if you log on after 7 if Celeste is there or not

I discovered yesterday you can visit the hospital as a patient and receive an item. I have Stitches as the Dr and it's so funny and cute. Love when he admits he's just pretending and has no idea what he's doing 🤣😍
If you go to the hospital on Mondays you can find Joan and she'll give you some free turnips
I thought about making Sherb my doctor, but I was afraid of all the malpractice suits we'd be dealing with.
I also put Stitches as my doctor lol! It just seemed fitting 😁

Once you make enough houses, you can add a gallery section to the cafe, and if you put enough villagers as roommates you can add a private section to the restaurant. I know you can also unlock a patient ward for the hospital by talking to the villager working there, but i'm not sure if the clothing store and school have second floors that can be unlocked just yet, or what the requirements are.

Cool thing I noticed: when the DJ KK music festival is going on, and you scan the regular KK amiibo card (at the happy home paradise counter), it says he “isn’t answering the phone right now.” Thought it was a neat detail!
I'm a drummer, so the gyroids are my favourite thing in the game right now. I've covered all my wallspaces with them, in essence turning my home into a percussion instrument. I'm going to put them all over my island as well. It will be heaven for me.

Recently, Felicity invited me to her house and one of the things she said when I was there was about how she likes to read Fauna Magazine and Ms. Nintendique. At first, I thought these were just little references to the villager, Fauna and Nintendo, but then while doing research on Animal Crossing Wiki, I discovered these were callbacks to previous games. Fauna Magazine is a fashion magazine mentioned by Tom Nook in the first game when he tries to sell you clothes plus villagers will sometimes talk about it, and Ms. Nintendique is magazine about beauty and self-help that all the female villagers talk about in Wild World. This makes me wonder if any other dialogue with little callbacks like this that exist within this new update (outside the obvious ones from NPCs you invite to The Roost.)
I got a dialogue option from Fauna once (though you could probably get it with any normal type villager) where she mentioned reading a book by Dr. Shrunk which I thought was a cute detail
@@FairyFlips I've read about this dialogue from normal villagers. I know it existed prior to the 2.0 update, but I have yet to encounter it in the game.
If you stick a gyroid on the wall, you can make them look like they are interacting with your other objects - for example, you can make them look like they are in the high chair, in a pet bed, on the cat tower, in a bassinet, etc
I spotted Celeste in the Roost around 6pm the other night.
Your villagers won't always offer to sell you things, I've only had one villager outta 3 do it so far. But they always give me their favorite song before I go, which is pretty cool.
I've had it happen every single time, annoyingly often. like if I talk to them too much, they just keeping asking me to buy their stuff nonstop xD I'm pretty sure its guaranteed if you talk to them enough times.

@@caitlynstarrparrish Phoebe hung out at my house for over 30 minutes last night. Took her on a tour of my house. Then kinda just sat there and talked to her every so often for about 20 minutes. Until, finally, she offered to leave.
I noticed you can not clap along with KK's songs and the audience now claps after he finishes performing which is adorable honestly
If you hold a light stick you can wave it through the performance and villagers that are there will follow your lead too!

Pre vid: Hoping he mentions the new K.K Slider birthday messages you can write a week before someone's birthday and the special concert he preforms on that player's birthday! I haven’t seen ANYONE mention it and it's super cool!

The framed photos of characters you made houses for in HHP are added to the catalog of items you can put in your villagers' homes when you redecorate them. I wonder if you can put those in their houses and then buy them when they invite you over?

I noticed that occasionally the NPCs on your island can walk into The Roost and order a coffee to go. I was pretty shocked the first time Timmy walked in and ordered thinking it was a big event.
Something *really* freaking cool is that when you make your hospital in hhp, you can add a patient ward by talking to the receptionist and donating the money that they need to build it. (I think it's like 12000 poki)
Edit: you can go into the hospital once per day and get an appointment with the doctor!! Also, the Cafe serves real food you can buy
Double Edit: if you see Sow Joan at the hospital talk to her and she'll give you 50 *FREE* turnips

@Peppered Saltine - The 4 clothing mannequins you place in your boutique have different clothes on them every day. Just walk to the front of the mannequin and that will trigger the conversation with the manager and you can then purchase the clothing.

I love the new interactions at the Roost and the little detail of them having Roost cups. A sorta weird feature... you cannot just sit down at the Roost! You can only be drinking or sit down with villagers you call in with Amiibos.
Sitting in the booths also works if you bring a player from another island who is visiting your island.

I love how you can buy things from your villagers home when you visit! Now I can get rid of things I don't want in their house!

I had this happen also after talking to a villager several times at once while not in their home. Then they invited me to their home and then there was a cut seen. Once inside they asked if I wanted anything. So nice to get rid of things I don’t like in their house.
You can't actually buy EVERYTHING from their house some things the villagers refused to sell
If you hate that, well if someone asked to buy a robot hero from you that you worked really hard on, would you want to sell it.
I did this with Shari and then felt so bad because she was so sad about it, lol. I learned that you're supposed to be able to set your starter villagers back to their actual home once you get far enough in HHP, so I'm looking forward to that!

If you go to your restaurant in the dlc then you can’t really order anything however in the cafè there’s a whole menu with food for you to choose from!
if you talk to the head chef of your restaurant, theyll give you a new cooking recipe each day

My villagers visit, all the time. Once, I hadn't gotten rid of all the roaches in my house. Filbert came in saw a roach and said "didnt know you already had company, I'll come back later" and immediately left. I hit him with a net later 😂😂😂😂😂
Timmy, Tommy, and Katie are the only younger npc that Brewster will sell coffee to😂
I feel like Katie is at least a teenager now. As for Timmy and Tommy....well they have long shifts.

One thing I discovered recently in HHP is there are additional villagers in the restaurant and cafe seeking vacation homes outside of the beach.
I wish we got new flowers and flower colour variants , for example; other flowers that are green not just mums. Aswell as orange mums, I think they’d be so fricken cute

I finally made it to the star island too, it was so cool to hit the rocks and have the different colored star fragments pop out.
I was shocked to find Mr Resetti in The Roost this week!! He had a ton of dialog too and waxed philosophical about his nemesis... the reset button. 😆 Don showed up the next day.

I haven't run into Daisy Mae or Celeste in the Roost yet, so it's kind of cool to know they show up there. The only two villagers I've seen in there so far is the Dodo Airlines attendant from the airport, and Tom Nook came in once to get coffee to go when I was there.
When the villagers are using their frying pans in their homes like Raymond was, he will give u a recipe if u speak to him. Just like the diy chat when they are at their work bench .
My villager was doing the frypan tossing action and then when I asked, she said she was making an orange smoothie 😂
Also there’s a new Celeste recipie! It’s a star rug! Idk if there’s more than that, but if you had all the recipies before the update, now there’s a reason to seek her out again!
And a star hanging item on the ceiling!
There's also a "starry night" rug which shows all the zodiac constellations
i walked into the cafe and saw sable enjoying a cup of coffee. it was so nice to see her outside the shop since she's always so busy ! :')
Favorite gyroid: bubbloid it’s the one that aggressively blows bubbles (occasionally) ITS SO CUTE
That's my favorite too! I'm now on a mission to collect a many as I can and display them in my home so I can be surrounded by bubbles.
I wish I had the home reset option before. I had to let Bones leave and then make him come back with an Amiibo card to do that, but he didn't remember me at all. D,:
going on your plaza and stretching first thing when you log in is a great way to see which NPC is on your island that day :)
seeing celeste in the roost before 7pm is also a much easier way to tell if you've got shooting stars if isabelle hasn't made an announcement for them, bc if celeste is on your island there's always shooting stars

One interesting thing about HHP that I learned recently is that sometimes, a villager will gift you a copy of an item that you decorated their holiday house with.
I learned this when Joey gave me a free Kiki & Lala wallpaper... & I don't even have the Sanrio Amiibo!
(I got most of the Sanrio goods from other friends who do have said Amiibo cards... I do hope to get them soon myself...)
To be fair, rubber ducky wouldn't look out of place in the Little Twin Stars' world... rubber ducky is love... rubber ducky is life...
Usually you get wallpaper, flooring or a rug. I've been trying to use it to get a specific rug but it's being a pain to get for some reason.
I dunno if they'll give you furniture items, I haven't experienced it yet if they do.
Secrets that i found too:
- if you go to hospital & choose feeling sick & see the doctor, you get different types of “clothing” from the doctor. Go try it yourself. I personally think that it’s really funny
- I saw Joan visiting the hospital & she will give you turnips and talk about Daisy Mae
Something i learned is all accounts that play on your island will have access to the dlc, so if you made a second chara for a second home you can essentially do the whole dlc experience twice!
Another way I've seen to figure out if you have Celeste on your island is to go do a group strech after 7 PM. Celeste wiill come strech too if she's there!

Walking up to zucker and cepholabot talking always makes me so happy as they get along so cutely~
If you go to a friends island, make sure you don’t have enough bells in your pocket for coffee. Then, drink together and ask the host to make everyone pay separately. That’s when Brewster will give you a glass of water.
If Celeste is visiting that day and you log in after 7pm Isabelle will actually let you know that she's there wandering around the island. Such a small thing to update but it's so helpful.
Also, If you have the pro camera app (or hacks) when you walk into the roost you can see photos hanging on the wall, one of the old Roost, one with K.K, and one with Celeste (hope that is right)
I ran into Daisy Mae, but I don’t know if she’s “too young” for coffee because one day one of the Nooklings came in for a take out and told me they both loved the coffee. All I could think was, “Won’t that stung your growth?!” 🤣 I’ve had Tom Nook show up several times and I ran into Mabel 2 mornings in a row. On the second day, she laughed and said, “We’ve got to stop meeting like this!” 😂
So a few things I’ve noticed about the Roost. I go every day and every so often Brewster stops you to give you something. First the DIY for the cookie, then coffee beans, then a coffee plant, then the siphon. If you do the daily stretching, Nook will send you things. So far I’ve given the yoga mat and today I got the dumbbell you see the villagers using. I’m having a lot of fun discovering new things all the time and the DLC is amazing! I filled every space with roommates as well, now I’m reusing the spots (because apparently you can).
And yes, Daisy Mae without a hat is weird and disturbing…
Another detail, talking to Sable at least once a day unlocks a feature where she gives you patterns for furniture customization. It takes about a week for her to open up to you, but it's sweet. You'll also learn why Label isn't helping with the store and a little back story to the Ables.
This happened in vanilla too! Love talking to her.

Something i have been trying to test (when able) is when your villager plays the high card low card game, they might give away what cards they use, by the number of shuffles they do. Just noticed this yesterday, i might be wrong about it and it could be a set number of times they shuffle and it just happened to be the same as the card, but figured i'd mention. Hopfully others can either confirm or debunk this.
Also, if people haven't discovered this, there's a new category of Sable's custom designs! Really check them out, theyr'e so cute and ive used them so much!:))

I get asked by Marcel to visit my home so much and to visit him. Love all the quality of life changes the update gave us. I don't need celeste but her in the roost can help me tell friends if she's visiting or not sooner than 7pm
Honestly I get all of the best info from this channel .
I've notice some villagers have more of a diverse backstory or personality than whatever default they have. Reneigh comes from a farm, and references back to it with specific items in her home like the sleeping bag. Poppy was legitimately depressed. She sent me a concerning letter and when asking to come over to my house, she would mention that she is feeling down and doesn't think she can be alone right now. I was absolutely heartbroken. BUT she actually started feeling better as our friendship grew and she is definitely more cheery and positive.
If you speak with villagers enough, they will sometimes bring up a job for you without having to wait for their thought bubbles.
There's more smaller things. I absolutely love how they improved the villagers. I've even purchased Wild World again because I missed fleshed out villagers.

This is a silly little thing I noticed, but if you are in the roost on the hour Brewster has a cuckoo clock that will go off. It is a small but cute detail.
You can see npcs at the hospital for Happy Home Paradise. I saw Daisy Mae's grandmother the other day and she can gift you turnips. :)
There is a cool detail. They do keep lore with the mail birds. Inviting Pete, he’ll be alone, inviting Polly, she’ll bring Phyllis, but inviting Phyllis, she’ll bring Pelly, but Pete will still be stalking.

Celeste doesn’t always show up at The Roost; she wasn’t there when I dropped by this afternoon, yet I encountered her strolling around the island later that evening.
Strangely enough coconut juice wasn't given the food upgrade, still an inedible diy
The cheese wheels didn't get the food upgrade either. So much for feeding them to my mice.
i suspect villagers visiting you/inviting you over is tied to friendship level. i haven't had anyone invite me over yet, but i've had villagers ask if they can come over and even more just come in when i'm at my house. i've gotten photos of 9 of my villagers (working on #10 now), so they're all pretty high levels. honestly it seems like if i stick around in my house for more than 30 seconds, someone comes over, so if you're wanting to get interactions like this, it might be worth gifting your villagers for a couple weeks to boost their levels.
I'm curious if you've already discussed all the cinematic sitting spots on the resort main island.
The cabinet on the left of where you change in HHP is actually a storage things where you can take and put stuff away in your house inventory.
I don't know if anyone notice this, but after a villager invites you into their homes they give you music that plays in their radio/stereo. I got K.K Adventure after Victoria invited me. Oh and if your pockets are full they will mail it to you. Pretty neat.
This isn't a major thing, but if you use Blathers's amiibo to invite him to the Roost, he'll bring Celeste with him.
Bob invited me to his house and he left me pick as much stuff as I wanted from his house and he lets me take them for free. Though I’m pretty sure you have to have full friendship points with that villager for it to happen.
Bobs gang. The biggest thing I found helpful in the happy home paradise DLC is when Niko asks for materials in the DIY bin that you can access your home storage from the cabinet next to your locker.

You can go to the island where the villigers hang at and ask them around and they’ll give you little gifts that are featured in their vacation homes

In the cafe, if you look at the wall next to the entrance, you see pictures of acnl K.K. and Brewster together!
It'd be really cool if you could use the room sketch app on the Nintendo online app. I would even pay money for it. It's pretty useless in game since if I wanna design a house, I would just go to the vacation island
When villagers ask if you want to buy a piece of furniture from their house, you can only buy the items that are “out of place”. Things that appear naturally, the villagers will refuse to part with probably because their house would be empty otherwise lmao
Something I learned while my sister was visiting my island is that you can share a table at Brewsters and have a cup of coffee together.
Every time you fish you we’ll get a new cooking recipe, it’s super cool! Also if a villager ask to go to your house they say it’s “to get ideas” for how to decorate there houses and will ask about items in your house which is super cute
I know that if you tell some villagers that you don't want to buy anything from their home they seem to act as if you've hurt their feelings. So most times I will buy something out of guilt. With Marshal though he almost seemed insulted that I didn't want any of his stuff, lol
At harvey's Island, Reese and Cyrus can custom items you buy with NMTs, which I'm so thankful for, I got black gold and red versions of the teacup rides and now the rest that go with it, but can make them the colourful version with a few bells. Rather than the cost some people sell them for!
What changes if you select "the way they talk" as your option? I've never done it, as I can't imagine changing my villagers from the people they are. If I consider one expendable, they only go if they bring it up themselvs, and that's random depending on how long it's been since the last attempt.
It resets their catchphrase and nickname for you, if you’ve ever agreed to having them change it!

Bop em once with a net if you see the thought bubble. It'll stop that interaction for them so you can talk to them freely.
