Sonic knows he messes up... ALOT. But he doesn't need to be constantly reminded of his mistakes, and Shadow saying what he said, he kindve deserved that kick in the face.

I think we all have to remember that shadow had no way to live but growing up fast enough to protect Maria. Even though I though he was harsh, I feel like he was harsh on sonic becuase he didn't want to let him see the real reason for his action. Shadow was probably having flashbacks and say those things in the spur of the moment. He probably though the same thing when Maria died, that it would have been him instead for her, I think his reasoning was plausible but again it didn't give him the right to decide what sonic should do he saw his mistake and becuase of him doing so shadow had recollection in the past reffering to the same situation and though about what would happen thus far.

No if he was a well tuned hero who smiled he’ll joke and brush it off because sonic knows shadow is a no nonsense person and a serious person which is why shadow follows sonic lead if stuff hit the fan but if the disaster comes from the person who made the situation worst then either he or someone else will say something. So sonic acted like a brat in this skit for someone who is called a hero

Yes, maybe Shadow deserved the hit, but in the end I think he was very angry or he remembered when he lost Maria and probably thought that Sonic was not doing his best and if he could save Amy.....why not do it?... Of course Sonic does make an effort to be a hero but because of everything that Shadow went through for Maria I feel that he is even traumatized, that's why his anger and his phrase *so heavy* "the next time you try to get someone killed, make sure it's yourself" is that he also wanted to kill himself Due to Maria's death, he managed to see himself through Sonic, only he did have a chance to save her. Instead he couldn't...

I can imagine Sonic snapping and being fed up with Shadow's hypocrisy. I mean, Shadow is also kinda reckless and couldn't save Maria or Gerald in time, and now they're dead because of him, and they're rolling in their graves because of Shadow's attitude towards other people. He was also like that in Sonic Prime when he kept blaming Sonic for everything even though Sonic knew he messed up so he didn't need Shadow to rub it in, because Shadow also messed up many times in his life so blaming Sonic for everything was quite hypocritical of Shadow.

Dark Sonic is living proof of this. Werehog Sonic is living proof of this. Despite Shadow’s experience with insane reserves of energy, he loses himself, harms himself in the process, and barely manages to direct or control the energy in its most raw form. That’s the point of the inhibitor rings. Without the rings shadow can’t sustain himself and his latent energy.
Sonic fucking commands energy, whether he uses light or dark energy. He works in complete harmony with light energy, and he just straight up commands dark energy immediately when he’s pissed or just doesn’t care about morality anymore. He doesn’t lose control at all. Both Super Sonic and Dark Super Sonic are literally just Sonic with excess amounts of energy.
The strength of Sonic’s spirit is unrivaled (at least in his own world and cast)
That’s why everytime dark energy tries to corrupt him he just tanks it. He usually never works with negativity, but when it corrupts him, he simply controls it completely. Dark super sonic. Dark spine sonic. Werehog sonic. Chips words to sonic about how he’s too strong to lose himself.

Okay I've been ignoring this dub for a year now, but I have to say this as a sonic fan 😤. First yes sonic can be reckless and he has a big ego but he cares for his and does put them first, the fandom is just getting a little toxic with his due to sonic prime and how past games have been making his character act. Second, Shadow has had a tendency to be aggressive on sonic and not be cooperative on teams as well (rouge could tell stories) so he doesn't have room to speak in my opinion. Lastly, I am tired of seeing sonic get bashed on for shit we don't know the context of, personally i blame the fandom and sonic team for making sonic always the problem in there stories.

Sonic is the most athletic of the three main hedgehogs. He’s the most agile and physically gifted character in the whole series. Plus he constantly works out.
There’s no reason for shadow to be physically stronger than Sonic. The only one physically stronger than Sonic is Knuckles. In terms of combat or technique Shadow has less experience with earth customs and training than Sonic. He was just created with chaos and black doom energy/blood.
Do you think professor Gerald, Maria, or any of the scientists aboard the space colony ark 50 years ago said “hey Shadow, time for your tai kwon dou and karate lessons.”??? No, they didn’t.
So unless Shadow abuses chaos control, chaos spear, and takes off his rings to abuse chaos blast, which also damages him in the process and he barely has control of chaos energy without his inhibitor rings, there’s no reason sonic shouldn’t fold him.

Sonic has better endurance
Sonic should have better instincts and reaction time
Sonic should even have better battle IQ
IQ in general can be argued because Sonic has greater world knowledge, Shadow has greater knowledge on chaos energy, and both have been shown to be able to come up with plans
Shadow has better Hax/abilities but that’s about it
