Blender & Grease Pencil Tutorial - 2D/3D Galaxy Balloons

- Hey Everyone! Here’s a tutorial to create a balloon arrangement in Blender 3D with Grease Pencil. I made this piece last year, but thought it'd be fun to turn it into a video for Valentine's Day. The focus is mostly on the balloons and shader, so feel free to change up the ornament. How we’ll go about this is by modeling our elements first, shading them with a textured shader, and then use grease pencil for additional adjustments and details. Feel free to experiment with it and hope you guys enjoy!

I actually attempted to recreate this project when I saw the short for my valentine this year. It went okay but the textures were extrapolated from the cake video so things just seemed off and I was debating just buying a card instead LOL, you don't know how happy I am to see this tutorial!! Sorry about that! I think it's because I had numlock off so it might affect the view options. Try to go by what's mentioned in the video instead.
Which touch screen 2 in 1 computer o u use or which tablet do u use?
im scared lol if i buy a tablet to do 3d cad it will shorten the life of the tablet
I use an XP Pen with a display. It hooks up to the computer and integrates pretty well! It should work well for CAD related work :D.
I was able to do all the heart up to control me you said something wrong it doesn't do what you did close only the inner heart not the outer heart how can I activate the outer heart thanks for the help

Nice video, i did learn a lot of things. I have a problem whith the part when you start to draw , exactly minute 25'20. I don't know how to do my grease pencil decoration doesn't appear in front of the principal objetc when i do the render. I've been searching for a solution but i can't go with that...any solution Please?

So sorry for the delayed reply. When you try to render at this point, your grease pencil strokes will appear in front of the meshes, no matter how far or close they are in 3D space. To fix this, go to the View Layer Properties Tab and under Data, make sure Z is checked. This will ensure grease pencil respects the Z depth of all objects, specifically Meshes. We'll cover this later on in the video. Hope that helps!
