I noticed he was sitting on you for pets so he’s simply grown out of his abandoned baby fear and neediness. That’s you doing it right - letting him be a confident, independent cat. He still loves you but doesn’t need to cling to you. Cat people all learn to take the affection when and how it comes ❤
