Been receiving a few comments telling me "Amon was not the leader of the Xel'naga." I know. This was due to a bit of bad communication on my part tbh. What I meant was that Amon lead the Xel'naga that discovered the Zerg. NOT that he was the leader of the entire race, sorry for any confusion! I would annotate that but the ability to add annotations in RUclips was removed some time ago, sorry! :S
Organism Abathur favorite character. Video well put together and informative. Crisism about lore facts unimportant to creator evolution. Will evolve larvae of new subscriber without help from abathur with videos. Must take sample of subcribtion.
I think Abathur also has microscopic vision, because he was able to analyze Kerrigans DNA just by locking at her.And he also said in one of starcraft 2 cinematics that he locks at flesh and sees the DNA strands and sequences.
Ummmm got a few problems with this video (only at the start though!) Amon wasn't the leader of the Xel'naga, he went rogue with 1 other Xel'Naga (Narud/Duran) and wanted to break the cycle and leave the universe to be under his control/domination, but needed to create the perfect host body. The Purity of Essence is what made the Zerg very unique and able to evolve rapidly, and Amon's gift to them was the Overmind/Hive-mind mentality. Larger, more advanced Primal Zerg were aware that this was a bad thing as they had cognitive reasoning, unlike the zerg who were weak/unevolved and sided with Amon as they could feel his raw power. The image used to describe the Primal Zerg is the most powerful Primal to exist and was present when Amon first corrupted the Zerg. Most of the information past 3:20 seems to be correct, but the first few minutes leading up to Abathur isn't 100% right. I'll leave the conclusion to Kerrigan for those who play Legacy of the Void to find out.
+ZXMFG Cheers for this, was mainly trying to skim that as much as I possibly could, though only came to SC during the second game. NEED to find time to play the first all the way through. I didn't mean to give the impression Amon took all the Xel'naga with him. More than willing to admit a few details may be a little off and thanks for educating me :)
In the novel, Starcraft: Evolution it reveals Kerrigan did survive the final battle with Amon, as she gave the Zerg Xel'Naga essenece before departing.
What about an episode dedicated to the overwatch universe or maybe a mini series where to go through all the overwatch heroes backstory? ;D It would be awesome if you could consider this! By the way, I gotta say that I love all of your content! Keep up the awesome work!
Kerrigan's ending is clear. In the final expansion, she consumed a xelnaga and became one. She then killed amon, and used her power to transform into a human again.
+TomTheGreatIsHere True Kerrigan became a Xel'Naga and killed Amon but she only appeared to Raynor as a human after a lengthy hiatus to reunite with him. We actually have no idea if she was still Xel'Naga OR assuming she did became human.. what became of her incredible power? SC3 confirmed!
+Phil Kean That whole cutscene just seemed like drunk raynor's imagination taking over to me, guess we'll find out if they ever do continue the raynor/kerrigan story.
TomTheGreatIsHere i mean it looked pretty bright iutside of the bar almost like when they had kissed in the empty white area in jims mind so my guess is that kerrigan is just creating an image for raynor to see
That entire scene is very dream-like in every way. This is confusing though as we're not given an answer to whether it's just a dream either Sarah or Jim is having, she projecting this into his head or whatever it possibly could be. It's a very interesting and beautiful moment and I really hope we'll be gettin' that answer sometime in the future!
As far as I know, the Xel'Naga (the good ones) created the primal zerg, but after the fiasco with the protoss (interfering with their evolution) they decided to leave the zerg alone, satisfied with their purity of essence... A long time after the Xel'Naga retreated to their dimension Amon found them and bound them to the Overmind, the other Xel'Naga learned about that and tried to stop him being butchered in the process (again, the protoss also did that to their creators)... And the rest of the story you told is incredibly accurate :D (except maybe Kerrigan's fate, that seemed pretty clear to me but I see your point) I'm obsessed with your voice btw
Abathur probably couldnt get as big as the map without physical issues. He makes similar comments about the stuff he did to Zagara, stating resources and security. There's no easy way out usually.
Just found your channel from the Hearthstone video Blizzard had, and this is the first video and I have to say really great video and you even had events I missed form Starcraft II that you had in this video. Definitely gonna check out the rest of your videos. ^^
heh imagine the next leader of the swarm entering abathurs room and he goes "Organism Abathur. First Served Overmind, then queen of blades, then allmost queen of blades, then queen of blades again, then Broodmother Zagara, now serve you" and the new leader is just standing there like "uhhhhhhhh ... allright?"
Absolutely loved this video, so detailed, so well put together, almost as if Abathur himself organized the strands of this video for the "perfect" RUclips video😳 anyways got my sub and like!
+Dino999999 I've been thinking of possibly starting a WoW encyclopedia series with quick explanations of what I deem important warcraft things just to help people understand the lore better. I could maybe do the same with SC though either of these would be a pretty big undertaking :S
But I don't blame you. Something like this is extreme difficulty to create. There is so much history in the starcraft lore and games. It is not easy to keep continuity. I think you skipped around a bit though.
I just watched this video to justify my choice of Abathur as Icon in the Battle.net App. Well, I have Kerrigan in his place now. Thanks for the Video, I learned a lot.
I don't think Amon was necessarily the 'leader' of the Xel'naga. He was one among them who turned sour (or at least that's my recent understanding after having just finished a full playthrough last week).
i think you have one misinformation the xel naga arent ruled by amon they are like independent creatures and amon killed them all being the *last* xelnaga but otherwise great
Hey dude, nice episode ^^ Have you thought of doing a video on Greymane? I personally love the worgen, and think they should add more worgen into warcraft stories (and maybe a few more worgen hearthstone cards)
+blanaan My plan is to only really touch SC and Diablo lore in this series and cover WoW in Lore of the Cards. Definitely want to do a lore on Genn. It's probably best to hold fire atm as he is likely to have a major role next expansion.
+Six Gamers Please make a lore video about greymane , I really like him and I know a lot about him, but I dont know all the adventure trials and other things he did to make him the king Gilnaes wanted. I only know about the cures the death of his son, thats about it.
Um...the ending isn’t “unclear.” Kerrigan survived, started seeding new life on previously barren worlds, then reappeared on Mar Sara as an avatar in her original human form to bring Raynor with her
You got some of the lore wrong.... Or at least kind of jumped around in time line events. But it is almost 100% As a huge Starcraft player, and huge blizzard fan, I approve.
There are a couple of things I dont get : if the Xel'naga that attacked Zeraus to stop Amon were "god-like" then how did the zerg manage to kill them all? And if the Zerg consumed the Xel'naga they should have gained some of there vast power not just information By the way James do you enjoy Starcraft lore as much as wow even if its smaller and complete??
+Vlad the Impaler Yeah I can see the confusion :). While the Xel'naga are god-like they are still very much mortal. They have often been perceived as gods by the other races but they actually aren't. There were just literally THAT many zerg, you kill one, three step in to take their place, their numbers often seem unending (hence the popular "zerging" term for rush tactics). This was only a group of Xel'naga, not the entire race too. How the absorbtion works in the swarm I'm 100% sure, perhaps it is spread over all Zerg, gaining a little of the power so it gets spread thin. Or it was focused on the Overmind, who too was massively powerful and took great sacrifice to defeat. I generally enjoy WoW more due to it being well fleshed out, despite all its loopholes. There were parts of SC lore I think are great (some real stand out characters in the saga) and some I'm not a great fan of... Don't ask Chard about SCII's lore, he was not a fan :P
+Six Gamers James I think I found out the answer to my own question. The XeLNaga are born within the Void,a dark dimension that transcends reality, and there souls are anchored to it(just like demons in the twisting nether in WoW).The Xelnaga are unable to leave this place so they create a physical form in the real world and transfer there consciousness in it.When there bodies are destroyed there souls return to the void. Those artificial forms have only a fraction of their power and do not contain their essence. So that explains why the Zerg were able to defeat the Xelnaga on Zeraus, because those Xelnaga were nowhere near the power of the actual ones , and the zerg were unable to consume their essence because their host bodies did not contain their essence , but they did contain their consciousness so the zerg were able to gain their knowledge of the protoss.
12:30 That's inaccurate Think about it, do you need to survive -100 and below when you're in the vacuum of space? The extreme cold resistance is only needed in places with really cold air, liquid or solid cause that's where you actually freeze and feel cold. In a vacuum the only way to lose heat is through radiation, which is a much slower process than conduction.
"Vacuum is a good insulator, but outer space is also very very cold. That means that, although the heat transfer may take quite some time, the equilibrium temperature you will eventually reach is quite close to absolute 0"
Bull shoots the xel'naga created the Zerg after they created protoss. Protoss is Greek for first, protests were the first born. Xeric recreated second.
This is basically a retelling of Zerg's history with the focus on Abathur. I love it!
Organism Abathur favorite character. Video well put together and informative. Crisism about lore facts unimportant to creator evolution. Will evolve larvae of new subscriber without help from abathur with videos. Must take sample of subcribtion.
abathur has get to work on that lemon juice allergy
Quietus Hex actually is an easter egg that he used lemon juice to make the zerglings fasters
Yes that's the only thing wrong in his looks ...Lol XD
@@serbanignat7696 it bit cannon in one comics (can't remember the name) a SCV shot lemon juice in zerglings face and killed it
I think Abathur also has microscopic vision, because he was able to analyze Kerrigans DNA just by locking at her.And he also said in one of starcraft 2 cinematics that he locks at flesh and sees the DNA strands and sequences.

+ZXMFG Narud wasn't Amons only servant, there were more Xel'naga helping him but they were all killed on Zeraus, except Narud.
Six Gamers feel shame
Behold the mighty slapathur.
Useful skills already implemented.Powerful basic attack unnecessary.Complexity bad.
wow this is an amazing video. Looking forward to more of these, its fun to know the backstory of the characters you play in hots!
Fancy seeing another Loremaster here, hahahah.
You (and noble) are my fav btw.
In the novel, Starcraft: Evolution it reveals Kerrigan did survive the final battle with Amon, as she gave the Zerg Xel'Naga essenece before departing.
Oh shiet.
@Envy Could you tell me please?
Gabeslogic why did she depart and where did she go
"Spin strands backwards? No. Inside-out zergling. Unefficient"
Amon did not lead the Xel'naga he was one of them.
Overmind is a unsong hero it sacerfice it self to free the Zerg intrusting everything to Kerrigan
Probably my favorite SC character so far. Though he's a very subtle character hes still awesome.
so the overmind was the true hero?......for figuring out Amon's true plan and then planning against it?
Well put together and interesting video, watched all the way to the end ^^
Heroes could have a huge version of abathur. he just poker hes head out of the ground and is immobile when hes not burrowing.
+youluvana Would be an interesting hero design. shorten his burrow cool-down to still make him mobile enough to get that sweet experience soak
What about an episode dedicated to the overwatch universe or maybe a mini series where to go through all the overwatch heroes backstory? ;D
It would be awesome if you could consider this! By the way, I gotta say that I love all of your content! Keep up the awesome work!

25:32 It is known, at the end of the campaign it shows Kerrigan asking Raynor to join her.
As far as I know, the Xel'Naga (the good ones) created the primal zerg, but after the fiasco with the protoss (interfering with their evolution) they decided to leave the zerg alone, satisfied with their purity of essence... really happy to see you doing these "lore of the storm" videos again. Fantastic
Abathur probably couldnt get as big as the map without physical issues. He makes similar comments about the stuff he did to Zagara, stating resources and security.

stukov was in brood war i believe
Just found your channel from the Hearthstone video Blizzard had, and this is the first video and I have to say really great video and you even had events I missed form Starcraft II that you had in this video. Definitely gonna check out the rest of your videos. ^^
+Destin Awesome really glad you enjoyed it!
Good Job, as always.
+William Fiechtl Thank you!
Thank you SO much!! he's my fav champion in HotS, but I haven't played STII, so this video was very informative!
Well time to play through the entire Starcraft franchise again
+Corsair Joshua You're welcome ;)
Thank you for reminding me what a fucking masterpiece Heart of the Swarm was.
Heroes of the storm is like star wars legends
heh imagine the next leader of the swarm entering abathurs room and he goes "Organism Abathur. First Served Overmind, then queen of blades, then allmost queen of blades, then queen of blades again, then Broodmother Zagara, now serve you" and the new leader is just standing there like "uhhhhhhhh ... allright?"
From Student Canteen to the ways of EGV Cinemas - Abathur the Evolution Master - have long histories despite have been served the zerg for ages.
Absolutely loved this video, so detailed, so well put together, almost as if Abathur himself organized the strands of this video for the "perfect" RUclips video😳 anyways got my sub and like!
I like his mecha skin.
Incredibly interesting considering I've never really payed attention to StarCraft.
Alarak would be good (by the way)....(please)...
I just thought of something. His structure is similar to the brood mothers of the Zerg, so does that mean he is also a brood mother?
Never played a Starcraft game before but this sounds neat. might have to play them
"Favorite Champions, in Heroes of the Storm"
*Visible Confusion*
watched the whole thing, simply amazing :D
+Иван Леонов awww thank you!
This was more interesting than getting the story from the SC2 campaigns. Good job!
+Starbow Official Wow thanks! :D
now I am interested in all starcraft lore :D do a short version maybe?
That'll be huge as fudge
Connor Mai I know :/
+Dino999999 I've been thinking of possibly starting a WoW encyclopedia series with quick explanations of what I deem important warcraft things just to help people understand the lore better. I could maybe do the same with SC though either of these would be a pretty big undertaking :S

+Billy Johansson Thank you for watching, as always! :D
I love how Abathur bitch slap his enemies to death.
I just watched this video to justify my choice of Abathur as Icon in the Battle.net App. Well, I have Kerrigan in his place now. Thanks for the Video, I learned a lot.
was I the only one who cried that tassadar sacrificed himself ;-;
well his memory will live on it heros of the storm
Titanic: where girls cried
Ghost: where boys cried
Tassadar sacrifices himself: where true men cried
I don't think Amon was necessarily the 'leader' of the Xel'naga. He was one among them who turned sour (or at least that's my recent understanding after having just finished a full playthrough last week).
He was the leader of a faction of the xelnaga who rejected the cycle of the god being narud one of those

really enjoyed this episode
So you play Abathur in Sc 1. i knew it
Unclear.
you didn't add that mengsk was excepting Kerrigan and Raynor saved her before she killed Mengsk
not all that important for an episode on abathur. would add that detail on an episode with those 3 characters you mentioned though :)
But it is almost 100% As a huge Starcraft player, and huge blizzard fan, I approve.
nice job man as always
+Kemal Pootis thanks man!
The xel naga were not led by Amon. But other than that, this video is fairly accurate
Abathur did not created the bile launcher It is the broodmother who has it
It was Isha who protected under the Kerrigans transformation not Zagara...
Can you make more zerg based Heros of the storm ?
Hey can you do kerrigans lore there might be a few things I missed from the Starcraft game
+diokos “diokos plays” a I'll eventually get to Kerrigan but I'd need to read a few novels first :)
great video! thanks for uploading
Wants to destroy and rebuild the universe in his own image? Sargarus anyone?
24:49 Lol, Abathur means: "Speak to me in the same robotic manner that I do".

You are great ilove u telling the story please do more of starcraft lore ilove it
Why did this series end
Beautiful
Information long known, accuracy seen. like given, logical response.
*_Failed_* *_Experiments....._*
*Sounds of trumpets, spinning noises and a slight wowowowwoow in the background*
Great video !
+Jovan Draskovic Thank you!
Bull shoots the xel'naga created the Zerg after they created protoss. Protoss is Greek for first, protests were the first born. Xeric recreated second.
Please do dehaka. My dislexic space t rex will have his day in the sun
Great vid
I always assumed he was just a unique cerebrate
well someone has to do the lore
i challing you to do a lore of the cards for "the camel "😉
+kahlid zakrya hahaha hmmmmm I'll give it some thought and see what I can do...
+Six Gamers I have a great idea . Chalenge Nobbel87 to a lore quiz to show everyonr that you are THE MAN with storys
+Vlad the Impaler I hate tests :p
+Six Gamers But you do love lore dont you.If I had video cam and a microfone I would chalenge you or Noblle87 at anytime.Becouse I like WoW lore too.
make a video on Kerrigan
i love abathur
ALL HAIL BRAIN BUG
+kronos368 * falls on knees before the mighty Abathur *
Do you are played starcraft 1
Another Great video! Keep it up!
thanks :D
That mission from BW
"Destroy all enemy colonies"
AMon is the fallen one in the Xelnaga
Some of your points from the Starcraft storyline are wrong... just saying, but the video is still pretty good
Really don't like where Blizz went with the Zerg.
xel naga didnt discover but created zerg
ty !!! i play Abathur a lot in heros of the storm but i ditten know his lore
+0 Death Sweet, hope you enjoy it!
+Six Gamers We dd , we always do ;-)
"Led by Sargeras.. err i mean Amon"
:p
ALL FOR AMON!!! Jk enjoyed the watch 😋
Amon created the zerg hive mind
I would love to see Trade Prince Gallywix
+Abe Lincoln I've seen a couple of requests for him so he is on my radar. Can't say when though :S
+Six Gamers ty
He doesn't have much lore, just make a goblin in WoW and do the starting area. 'Tis free.
0:50
Right from the beginning, WRONG
See pinned comment.
Is Amon your Garrosh(douche) for Starcraft??Or is it Tyghus??
Tychus during WOL, Arcturus during HOTS, and Amon during LOTV for SC2
Well tbh Arcturus was a jerk throughout Starcraft campaign
+Vlad the Impaler Yeah I'd say Arcturus as the douche extraordinaire in the SC universe :P
+Vlad the Impaler Amon is like Sargeras but already defeated.
+Six Gamers I forgot about him , I call him a douche not becouse he killed over 30 K people only for power but because he insulted my man Jim Raynor
Amon Didn't lead the xel'naga
Im a little bit late but
Nice
best CHAMPIONS, eh?
i think not.
A brood of one. Does that mean abathur is a "cerebrate"?
The zerg were created to destroy the protoss. Not just because amon wanted to kill the Xel'naga. Killing the Xel'naga was the job of the protoss
3:54 he also has a male personality.
