Great initiative of the UK government. At the end of the day the law has to be enforced. Deportations will efficiently break their economic model which within 6 months will stop the wave of migration. Real refugees are a different story, but as far as economic migrants are concerned (the bulk), they can follow the existing visa application process instead of breaking through the borders.
