Pokémon Infinite Fusion is a Pokémon fangame where you can fuse any two Pokémon together to create over 170,000 new species. You can only imagine how crazy this could get... but what if we upped the stakes with a playthrough using hardcore Nuzlocke rules!? Can we beat Pokemon Infinite Fusion's greatest challenge!?

We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but with a full team using hardcore nuzlocke rules and only fusions in crazy gameplay? Today we find out: can I beat a Pokemon Infinite Fusion Hardcore Nuzlocke!? No items and no overleveling!

Monotype Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only the first new Pokémon encountered in each Route/Area can be caught.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

Facts I literally only watch his nuzlocke videos I don't care for the only nuzlocke channels. I love how he purposely makes it as hard on himself as possible. Pokemon games a normally so easy this is the only wayy to really test ya skills
alright, this is my favorite Pokemon game now. incredibly creative, clever, and well thought out. equal amounts absurdity and awesomeness regarding the evolutions. loving this!

The Charizard Aerodactyl fusion that Blaine uses is Tigrex from Monster Hunter. Zapmolcuno is a reference to the Pokemon Adventures manga which had Team Rocket do the same thing and fuse them.
This games custom sprites are (mostly) incredible props to the people who make them. I love all the monster hunter and dark souls ones the most 😂

The fact that you actually beat Zapmolcuno on your first try in this blind nuzlocke run is really impressive. The only other run I've seen got swept to high heaven.
Okay, here's a REALLY cool idea for an infinite fusion nuzlocke. First two pokemon found on each route must be fused and cannot be unfused. Limits the type variety a bit.
Species clause applying to every mon or every fusion is the real question
@@xdifficultviper9916 you're right. Honestly, with how many pokemon are available, apply the species clause. I raise this in return, if your encounter is a fusion, no matter if you have caught one of the components before, that is your double encounter for that route/area

Personally I think for this game I think 2 encounters per route (or one encounter if it's a wild fusion) should be allowed so you can have as many team options as a FR/LG playthrough.
This one was actually crazy. Nessie and Billy are absolute units and mvps on this playthrough
Hi Silph, what a great video!
Also I want to point you that you can change the sprites of the fusions if they have alt ones (some do).
Lastly, the safari zone encounters are actually 5, because if you catch them they will say the area where you caught them (like Area 1 , Area 2 ecc). There is also a powerful mon in Area 5 hidden in a structure :)
To add to that, the sprite that is highlighted when fusing is a custom sprite. Also, for future playthroughs the gym leaders all give wonder trade cards and that could be useful for "new" encounters in every main city.
The great thing about this game is there's so much content, there's another 8 badges in Johto after. They're looking to add different starting towns as a option.
But the game also has amazing randomizer options built in so you can really vary your challenges and nuzlockes up with different mons.

As someone currently stuck on Zapmolcuno on even just a vanilla playthrough, I felt that fight in my bones. I absolutely loved this playthrough though! I'd love to see you revisit this game in the future for different fusions!
Got stuck on Zapmolcuno, too, before realizing I had a Lapras with Perish Song on my team all along, lol

My favorite fusion that I used for far too long: Butterdos. Body of Gyarados and the compound eyes of butterfree. It made all the moves later on so devastating.
I need another run of this! So many options for teams. I was skeptical of the fusion idea, but I was sold once a saw it in action. Great video!

Absolutely enjoyed the video as always silph but this run out of every run so far has been my favorite and I really hope you’ll continue to play Pokémon fusion perhaps continuing the mono type runs but also being able to fuse Pokémon of the same typing.
Fun Fact: You could've gotten the Magikarp from the Pokémon Center on Route 3. Apparently the Pokémon Center is classified as a separate location in this game.

17:34 you can get a Moon Stone before leaving Mt. Moon. There's a part before leaving the cave that leads to a spot with a store. Outside is a little area where if you visit it during the night, you'll find some Clefables. Interact with them to get the Moon Stone.

This was so entertaining with the fusions. I kept thinking I had a favorite and then something better would come up. Beeder, all the Gengar fusions, and gyararas were all amazing

Hey Silph. Always loved watching your nuzlockes! I thought of an interesting challenge. It might spice up your usual theme, but instead of narrowing your selections to a single type, what if you did a nuzlocke with only pokemon with quad weaknesses. I did a similar run playing through x & y since everyone always says they're the easiest games, so this adds a lot of challenge to it. Anyway, thank you for all the great content!

I'll note that if you just get the body of a pokemon with the standard face of the fusion kinda jpg'd on there it means there is no custom art for that fusion. It's community-based art and it does make sense that 175000 pokemon don't all have art yet.
If you want to know which has it before fusing, if the silhouette is green, it means it is custom. You can also swap the fusion to check if the other version has art but it might flip typings if the fused pokemon have secondary typings
I'm late to your channel but I'm glad I eventually made it here. You're easily the best pokemon playthrough creator on youtube. Would love to see more of the randomizer playthroughs. Those are the best imo. Always interesting to see what pokemon will appear and how you'll handle it.

13:03 you could've also trade that Spearow for a Bellsprout in one of the earlier Pokemon Centers. Also, you can use the Moon Stone to evolve the Nidos into their 3rd form at lvl 16, giving you an extremely strong fusion.
