How are you liking it? I’m having some buyers remorse even though I haven’t received it yet. The 75 we have as she said has “worse” contrast but a better viewing angle. Are you still loving it?
It was finally time to retire my Samsung KU6000 with all its white rings during bright scenes (from almost all of the reflectors having fallen off by this time). This video convinced me that this TV was the way to go and I’m so happy with it. It’s amazing, quick and clear for gaming and the AI upscaling is really helping with all of the older media I watch. Thanks for this review!
I’ve had it for a couple weeks now. I absolutely love it. I had the U8G back a few years ago and upgraded from the 55 u8 to a 65 U7N..honestly overall the picture quality is better because they have upgraded their image and motion clarity/processing
I got a U7G a couple years ago. Happy with it. Lives in my bedroom where I'll never be viewing off angle. It did not play well with a Vizio 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos sound bar using the HDMI connection (lots of sync issues). A Vizio 5.1 soundbar using an optical cable works flawlessly. Added an alternate android TV launcher, and stream PLEX. Works great
I had the U7N for about a week and a half and I loved it... until I noticed a very annoying red ghosting effect on content that would appear on the outline of moving people and objects. It was really noticeable in the opening sequence of Dune 2. Such a shame because besides that, the TV was solid with great contrast. I returned it to Best Buy.
I have the U7K and I've only noticed the red ghosting on low bit-rate content, such as old shows on Amazon Prime video. For most of the content I watch, I don't really see it. What does still bother me is the brightness changes that lag a half second behind a scene change. That's very noticeable and still bothers me.
Watching this is in my bedroom on the 55inch version after having it for 2 days and enjoying the review and the tv. Great contrast, great blacks (not on the level of the 77 inch b2 in my theater room)
I just got the u7n yesterday. I turned vrr on my series X. I am using a fire rated 25ft hdmi but it is rated for 4K and high speed. I’m using this because by desk/gaming monitor is on the other side of the game room where I play my competitive games. I noticed the vrr flicker when I tested it out. It only does it when vrr is turned on the Xbox series X. But when I turned it off the tv ran flawlessly and ran at a constant 120hz when I was playing cod and it was very responsive. I plan on using the tv for my ps5 when it comes in later this week got one for cheap since it needed a new hdmi port. But I can’t wait to play wukong and other PlayStation exclusives. Plan on using tv for mainly rpg and sports games. I’ll stick with the monitor for any comp fps games due to the monitor having a way lower response time.
bought the u7k last year and i love it. while the u7n is slightly better i value pre calibration accuracy since i have no way of calibrating it myself professionally. so, i have zero regrets and hope hisense keeps putting pressure on the market with its great and affordable tvs.
When you say it's easily calibrated do you mean a professional calibrator? or can the customer adjust settings to get good color accuracy? Thanks Abby, keep up the good work!
Just purchased yesterday..love it! Only minor annoyance is when powered on it takes about a minute for the soundbar to sync and power on. The sound from the tv speakers are only tolerable.
I have the 55" U8G - really love it. Apart from picture quality, the sound and volume has been the biggest revelation for me. Thoroughly satisfied, and will upgrade to a 65" mini-LED Hisense model in the next year or so.
Considering that the UN8 gets brighter, it's not surprising. Also in reality when looking at the TV in person rather than graphs and numbers it's a non issue. I'll gladly take brighter highlights over slightly more accurate mapping of HDR.

I hate hisense for choosing to offer better performing models for North America, elsewhere where it's hit and miss. Was about to buy u8k in UAE and found several complaints about the model having terrible performance compared to similar TVs in America. Hisense should work on uniform performance for all it's TV's like LG.
Likewise, I stay away from Hisense's Singapore models, coz they're downgraded variants sold under the exact same name as their superior US counterparts!

I'm curious about the negative on SDR pre-calibration, how would one tweak it to get the colors right since she mentioned that SDR eventually looks great after calibration?
I really hope not, too much hassle in which I hope there's a guide or something to assist us with that instead. Anyhow, I purchased this model of TV with hope that it would be a superior replacement for my Vizio TV that broke down not even 2 years in. I heard nothing but good things about Hisenses for last couple years and hopefully it'll blow me away.
@@guitarplayer4429 Well, its quite better than VIZIO for sure with superior black colors and screen quality. Definitely a good TV for gaming. The big negative will have to be with motion interpolations in some cases, in which they're muddy and grainy and not at all clean. Additionally, there's some cases of red and green motion blurs (which I read are pretty common complaints with Hisense models). So all in all, I'll give this TV a nice B+, which is a step-up over B grade that I gave to my old VIZIO TV. Quality product at the price that I can't be too mad about, though I'll probably look for a different brand in a decade or so.

For a VA panel, i expected an even greater Contrast, since VA panel means sacrificing view angle in exchange of superior image compared to IPS (OLEDs and its sad Burn-In(s) apart, of course). Still great for small rooms/watching on bedroom/using as PC (thou 55 is way too big).

Is the U7N worth the extra cost over the U6N? I'm thinking it is.
The U8N may be diminishing returns over the U7N though.
im wondering the same thing. the U6N to U7N is a MASSIVE improvement but idk about the U7 to U8
U7n or U8k which one should I go with?

Hoping this TV is on sale during Prime Days
There's big sale for $350 off at Best Buy right now, will be picking that up 🧡
@@-ak-634 yeah same price on amazon, but I want more! lol
its 749 on amazon, but hoping for more!
@@MarkNOTW Probably as best as you can get for several months. I decided then to purchase it because I need to replace my TV and this seems to be the best of bunch (aside from pre-calibration), will get it delivered next week.
@@-ak-634 let me know how it goes and how you like it
Center stand on 55” ?
Y has my TV have ghosting on enhanced hdni ?
Abby always killing it
the 100hz vrr issue really is a deal breaker for me as most of my usage is pc gaming. idk, is this something they can/plan to fix? otherwise I'm really leaning toward something else
The 65 is VA while the 75 is IPS?
The contrast is already very high..nothing aside of OLED gets even close
Is the u7n the same as the u78n?
I would also like to know this, looks like it from my research.
How is the u7k better than the u7n in so many points? WTF…
Well its kinda common. They brighten the image by 35% thats jump. Then have to change the tone mapping. Just need to tweak it . 😊
