    See the inside of the cab (which I completely forgot to record lol) in my friends video here - ruclips.net/video/I1K2oXqQz0Q/видео.html

    I like the walk-through between the cab and the patient compartment; What I never really liked is that the cot is right on the bottom of the ambulance, especially for patients with spinal injuries the ride won't be nice then. And tbh I'd be annoyed by the constant warning while the lift at the back is moving up or down

    Sad state of affairs when the engine is louder than the siren. And whats with the warning when lowering the lift, the chap is stood 2 ft from it, not like anyone is going to get hit by it when he's stood there

      @ce9934 6 лет назад

      Nick Eustace That's because the siren was on demo and test mode at first. The Gama 2 is a REALLY loud siren, louder than any other LAS ones

    Very interesting video! Lots of lovely Wheleness again :) I do have to say that I preferred the previous LAS light setup with the white M7's in the front being more in the center and 4 M7 in the rear instead of just 2 M7's and 2 LINZ6

    These look like ambulances in rest of england with a door infront of the power lift LAS trucks were unique as only having a powerlift represent as a door aswell

    I still dont get it why the UK uses these heavy af ambulances, instead of using the compact fast version of the same mercedes series... It is smaller, faster, and more protected against crashes if anything happens. Hungary uses them and interestingly enough the response time is very quick even in rush hour traffic

      WaifuRacer If you think ours look heavy, please don't look at the American ones [you would get a heart attack]. I'm sue their firetrucks weight more than a Tank!

    Many thanks for the upload. Is this the standard layout of London ambulances? As much as I admire the powered ramp (we use Stryker powerlift stretchers which I guess does away with the need for this), I actually thought the interior would have been better laid out. The Sprinter was introduced in Australia for ambulance work in about 2001 to replace the Ford F-Series. The Sprinters are better to work out of, but even the 318 Sprinters are a bit underpowered.

    • @almostinanambo
      @almostinanambo 6 лет назад

      Coover yep standard layout for all trucks from the 08 plates, it isn't perfect in design but is better to work in than the nsw ambulance vehicles is a lot of ways

    • @coover65
      @coover65 6 лет назад

      I haven't seen the inside of a ASNSW Sprinter since doing the odd overtime shift out of Coolangatta (just inside the Queensland border-we'd take patients to Tweed Hospital (in N.S.W.) and see the southerners units.
      It'd be a bit hard for me to really compare an LAS unit with a QAS unit without spending a shift working in London (which in itself would be a bit of an experience with different drugs and guidelines etc.). Probably the biggest difference between the London layout and QAS units is ours have a set of drawers and a cardiac monitor cradle just in front of the patient care officers seat. Makes it handy to use the LifePak without leaning over the patient, and the drawers have cannulation gear etc. Does the cardiac monitor in the London units sit on that tray on the wall between the right hand rear seat and the head of the Stryker? I know this is a brand new unit, and unstocked. I've spent many occasions stocking a brand new unit. Our Sprinters usually have a working life of about 5 years/350,000km, and decommissioned ones are easy to spot with the white bulbar and the two after market roof mounted air conditioners-very popular and cheap to buy second hand.

    • @almostinanambo
      @almostinanambo 6 лет назад +1

      Coover Coover so in regards to the first comment we also use the Stryker stretchers which are amazing we just don't have the arm that extends out the back, the tail lift is really helpful for people with bad mobility and wheel chairs but it is prone to breaking, we use the biggest engines Mercedes provide so they have enough go for most places around London but don't really go much beyond 130kmh
      So because of the size of the box having the monitor next to the patient is much easier for cables etc and you can watch it from the attending spot and when a patient is sitting upright the monitor is actually behind them
      Unfortunately not regarding the draws and this is one of my issues with the design of the ambulances, you get the gear out of your medic bags or down behind the foot end of the stretcher to cannulate and there isn't anywhere to lay the cannula dump out, no trays etc, other services do in their own designs but because las have the door to the cab it isn't there
      In addition the airway seat doesn't have almost any airway gear, go figure
      But there is loads of space so big jobs can have up to 3-4 medics/police in the back and once you know the trucks they work fine
      Las are spending money in other areas at the minute so a redesign isn't too likely soon
      Some of our oldest trucks have been in since 2004 with 300 000 miles and are still going

      @@almostinanambo probably the new LAS units are limited to 130 or 135 just like the new ones over here in Bavaria. We got our new Sprinter few months ago and unfortunately it's limited now; The previous one easly went up to 155 kmh

    • @EnjoyFirefighting
      @EnjoyFirefighting 4 года назад

      @@coover65 Here in Bavaria we don't have powered ramps but also no Stryker PowerLoad, but the cot platform inside the ambulance can be pulled out of the back halfways and then tilted to unload the cot

    • @TS112Video
      @TS112Video  6 лет назад +4

      The siren was quiet as that was the demo mode and the handbrake was on, in order for the siren to be loud the handbreak must be off. 😁 Thanks!

      @TS112Video  6 лет назад +3

      So if they are sitting in traffic with the hand brake on or they need to test the siren then it won't be too loud
