Hey!!! I invite you to show the work of Biomedical Scientist andd what we do in the labs. Maybe ask your microbiology department as they are the ones testing the samples (not sure if lewisham has a micro department on site). I work in Histo/cyto but at a different hospital in london. Would be more than happy to explain the insides of Histo if you wanted.
Now, I think u DO a great job but I really feel triggered by how careless u guys are when it comes down to wearing PPE and keeping ur distance among urselves when clearly u work in a high risk environment and deal with the virus very closely- I just don’t get it- and it’s actually the thought of putting myself into that unsafe environment that would keep me away from hospital even if I became really unwell. I talked to my grandparents about the very same thing the other day. They said they would rather die at home than go into hospital and I really cannot blame them. I just don’t understand why ur so careless in situations like here where it would be so easy to just show more consideration and common sense by wearing a mask, not touching everything with ur bare hands and keeping ur distance - especially since ur in a position online where u should set an example. It’s just beyond me and I feel very uneasy seeing this tbh 🥴

im so thankful for you guys x
Hi Alex, hope your well? Again thank for another excellent video on showing us some of the equipment. Very much appreciated. How do you reassure patients that it is safe to hospitals. How could you do this? Thank you so much Alex, you are a great guy and a very caring person. Great on you! :)
Thanks for watching! We are so careful to isolate patients with coronavirus and so other patients have a minimal chance of exposure x
@@DrAlexGeorge Is there still a high chance in getting the virus? :)
Dr Alex secured the bag....very smart
Loved my time with London Ambulance Service.
Loved watching this, going to be starting paramedic science in September 🚑💚
Ahh exciting!!!
they are first on scene they are amazing
They are 💙
wow that was very intresting to watch well done for doing this video hope i get to see more brilliant videos i love all of your videos on here
Thank you so much Alex for making these videos. This was incredibly interesting, as all of your videos are, especially as you are at my local hospital! Massive thanks to you for everything you are doing and everyone in the NHS and social care! 💙💙 would really have loved to be a doctor 😃
Another fab video! What would be amazing is if in the future maybe when restrictions aren’t quite so bad, doing a video of you actually on shift (preferably not with Covid patients) just the everyday normal patients 💙
Thank you 💙
that is so cool and did you know that you use the same ambulance for casualty
Ive just started my journey with the NHS and im hoping in a few years I'll begin my paramedic training!!
Amazing 💙💙
@@DrAlexGeorge being able to be apart of the amazing work the NHS carry out is somthing I'll never live down
Would be great if you could spend some time with radiographers in A&E, talking about coronavirus and their role in patient care in general. They’re a key part of the a&e team but one that is easily overlooked. 👍🏻
I work on patient transport up in Northumberland love the job
💙 Thank you
Starting my studies as a paramedic this year 🥰
How are they going
So interesting thank you!! :)) really gave me a real insight! I would love for you to do a video on how doctors and maybe also paramedics deal with individuals with mental ill health who come into hospital. I would find that really interesting. Thank you for this video 😊
Hi! Thanks for watching! This idea is noted 👌
Dr Alex George thank you!!
Amazing video as always. When I’m big I want to be a paramedic. What is it like to be a doctor?
Go for
It! Amazing career!
Very interesting to see and hear. Sadly I am all too familiar with the inside of ambulances having two adopted daughters with MH issues who are both under section in two seperate hospitals and still manage suicide attempts despite being on 1:1.
Sorry to hear that xx
Great insight I would have loved to be in the NHS 💙 loved hearing about the equipment and especially the portable ultrasound machine .. thank you 😊
My office ! Well done for the video.
£250,000! Wow didnt realise theyre worth that much. How many do you have in use at your hospital?
They are super expensive! There are bases where the ambulances stay rather than at the hospital
@@DrAlexGeorge Ok thanks I thought you had some stationed at the hospital. Just puts into consideration as i work in the car industry its around the same price as a top range Bentley Continental GT!
Can imagine it costs a few quid per call aswell
Harry L £250 per call
Ambulance service are separate trusts. Their will be stations dotted around what ever area you live,as well as deployment points where crew standby for calls.
I’d love to see what process they go through to a) for them & b) how they’re cleaned after a suspected CoVid patient has been in an ambulance
Thanks Rich!
Thanks for that video inside a air ambulance service and a&e videos
Thank you!
Wow incredible job 🤨 I'm left speechless
Brilliant video dr. Alex. I'm hoping to start my paramedic science course in 2021 (delayed due to Covid 19).
Every nook and cranny of this ambulance is designed with a purpose. I was in Kuwait and saw an army British ambulance. To be honest with you, I liked theirs better than ours.
Well done dr alec george your the best
Love you ❤
Great video. Enjoyed this one x
💙💙
V interesting. I always think that ambulances don’t look as though they moved with the times externally. I once rode in an ambulance with 2 day old newborn daughter from maternity home to hospital and it was a v rough jolting ride, sideways on, no seat or security belts ;)
Its whats inside that counts I guess 👌
