Man..I'm going to be a 2nd year C/Airman with 5 ribbons, no ropes and no medals. For our JROTC unit, it's rare for first years to get medals. Even though anyone appointed as Flight Commander goes up to a C-3 and 2IC goes to C-2..Anyway..Do officers in your unit wear maroon berets? Sorry about the long comment haha
They didn’t have the Bataan ribbon back when this was made. They were more lenient with awards and even had “non funded” awards on the chart that individual units could award to cadets
What in the world did I just watch, why do you have a bronze star on your SLS ribbon, and I have no idea how your unit is run but your only givin the outstanding cadet ribbon (metal ribbon) if you are appointed the position of Wing Commander in our unit witch is C/Col.
For those commenting on the Vietnam war service ribbon, he's allowed to wear it because of the golden frame. It would be illegal without it.

The star ribbon you’re talking about was re designed after this, you can look up old ribbon charts and see when they replaced awards
