Not sure if you guys gives a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last months xD
I just found out about you yesterday and you're already one of my favorite violinists that I've heard. I'd especially be curious to hear your tips on developing that trill you have that I've heard in your other videos, out of all the violin techniques I've learned I've never been able to get a trill even close to being as quick and clean as yours. I as well as others love that you are doing these caprice/etude videos.
I’ve always known about playing the bow strokes in the same way you would play them at a faster tempo when practicing slowly, but it never crossed my mind that the left hand would also need to get used to that quick agility that would be required of it. These videos are incredible!
Absolutely amazing! How do you achieve such a freedom and nimbleness of the joints when playing, otherwise known as making it look “easy”? I assume this slow practice with up-to-tempo transitions or perhaps faster answers this question.
Kerson, would you be willing to take us back and demonstrate a basic single to double scale on which to emphasize relaxed finger movement? I’m using Schradieck 1. Extremely basic, I know. But, something I can always go back to, when I need to get rid of left hand tension, when playing a faster piece. Any tips would be much appreciated.Thank you for your time. ❤️🎻
It is very impressive the way you dominate the instrument. Im very glad I can see it on this videos! How many hours of technic do you study on a day? Do you think Sevcik's books are best to build up good technic? Thank you again
First of all, you play all of these etudes with such clarity and easy-I’m awed! Second, in your edition (and which edition is it?) do you have a C-natural on beat three of the seventh full bar? My edition (international/Galamian) doesn’t have a note change there, but you played a C-sharp in beat two and a C-natural in beat three, and it sounded intentional. Relearning this for a “weekly string rep” group I’m in and would like to do it right! ☺️🎻
I wish we could know what rosin and strings you use. And just how tight you tighten your bow. I have noticed that it seems pretty tight and that the space between the stick and the hair seems to be more than what most players do. As a professional violist, I heard the several great violinists and violists tigthen their bows significantly. I tried this and it was remarkable. However, it also put a lot of stress on the screw nut of my bow and stripped it lose from the frog. Please would you discuss this bow situation.
Who would have thought, one of my favorite violinists played the all state etude for this year? This is a gift from the violin gods lol
I KNOW YOU LOL

Thanks so much for this series! I’ve been working on these caprices for a while, and these videos are always so helpful when I’m just starting one.

It is indeed a C sharp, despite what I played in the video.

Beautiful playing! Quick question, could you give me a few tips on how to play the beginning of the Beethoven Violin Concerto? Thanks!

Gorgeous playing and beautiful instrument. May I ask who made your violin?
It's a Guarneri del Gesu
@@KersonLeong Oh, OK. Hahaha, makes sense!
What type of Violin do you have? Who is the maker?
Hey kerson! Would you like to do the Kreutzer #42 study?

Do you play the fingering shown in the music on that last run or do you have your own
Do you play without the shoulder rest?
